I precise I can play videos on Chromium, or with the video players.
I have libavcodec58, libavcodec-extra59, ffmpeg 5.1.6 packages installed.
There is an error in the console: Media resource xxx.webm could not be decoded. Specified “type” attribute of “video/mp4” is not supported. Load of media resource xxx.mp4 failed.

Soon after installing Ubuntu 24.04 LTS freshly into my laptop I followed standard configurations to set my graphics card as the primary display renderer for my machine.
This is done by setting the environment variable DRI_PRIME=1 in my .profile file and rebooting.
I also made the following settings to Firefox's about:config
layers.acceleration.force-enabled true
gfx.webrender.all true
After reboot I get a lot of flicker on Firefox and a lesser amount on Thunderbird. The image below flickers on and off the screen for 1-4 seconds.
No such flickering occurs on Chrome browser.
Is there any way to fix this flickering ?

In the past it wasn't like that, but someone who used my computer visited the website and clicked on some note from the website and gave it a permission for auto refreshing. (in other browsers everything works fine) When I open tabs with goods on aliexpress. and start switching between them, then at the moment of switching to another tab, my previous tab itself is updated and opens the main page. And there is no way to even press the “Back” button. The browser seems to reload the page completely. The chatgpt was unable to find a solution. All hope is on you. There are no errors. It's just that the aliexpress page reloads by itself when I switch to any other tab.

We make a web application and some customers had problems caused by the Firefox translator. Specifically it translates the content of hidden input fields like this: <input name="ACTION" id="ACTION" type="hidden" value="login" translate="no" data-translate="false"/> causing the application to not work anymore. (the translator changed the word "login" to "login in und in").
Note the 2 attributes I have added in the html, which DON'T prevent translation.
The input field is inside this block: <body class="notranslate">
class="notranslate" seems to prevent translation of the various labels inside the body, but NOT of the value of the hidden input field.
As it is a multilanguage application (the users can change the language inside the application), I would like to entirely disable translation by the browser for this web site. Can this be done using certain tags or attributes? At least I would like that the content of input fields is not modified by the translator. Is that possible?

Hi ! I am using the latest firefox on win11 (latest updates). Since approx 2-3 days whenever I try to comment on youtube or edit an existing comment I cannot see what I am typing. I can still type and commit, the comment will appear and I it will contain what I typed. But when doing it initially it is invisble to me. If I reply to a comment I can see what I type.

Is it possible to add a pause, play, fastforward and rewind button to the corner of the screen? being able to manage speed without having to restart from the begining of the page would also be very helpful. I've noticed recently that some Unicode characters are not rendering properly on some websites. Specifically the Unicode characters for Mathematical Bold Capitals, though there may be others. I've noticed this issue on Twitch and GitHub. Screenshots for the repository sainnhe/everforest are attached along with the Inspector. Notice the characters do not appear properly on the webpage but are rendered just fine in Inspector. I also attached the screenshot for Unicode Mathematical Bold Capital E.
I am running Firefox version 132.0 on macOS Sequoia 15.0.1. The problem remains in Troubleshoot Mode. The problem does not appear in Chrome or Safari. The problem does not appear on my iPhone or Android tablet.
In posts with similar issues I've seen the suggestion to toggle "Allow pages to choose their own fonts", the issue does not respond to changing this setting (it is on in all the screenshots).

ever since the latest Firefox update, the "read more" feature on LinkedIn pages (personal pages, not the feed) does not show up anymore, at least not for me - the feature allows you to expand the various subsections to read their full content.
I opened LinkedIn on Chrome and Edge to see if it is indeed a browser issue, and it's working fine over there. I also did some troubleshooting (refreshing, clearing cache), but to no avail.
Does anybody else have the same problem?
