I read the article about having 50 GB of free VPN use after I updated Firefox today to version 149.0; however, I don't see anywhere where I can enable the VPN. I've checked in the "Customize Toolbar" section, and I still couldn't find anything. I don't understand, the article made it sound like I should have access, but I've also read that it's not out for everyone yet?

I wanted to use the Firefox browser VPN to check what the price of a certain Patreon subscription is in another country, but when the VPN is on, the website still correctly identifies my current location and shows me the price in my current country's currency. Is this a limitation of the VPN, or did I not set it up correctly?

Hello, I am experiencing an issue where the built-in Firefox VPN feature has completely disappeared from my browser interface. I cannot see the icon on the toolbar, and the feature is not active. Could you please clarify if this feature has been geo-restricted or temporarily disabled for certain regions, or if there is another hidden preference I need to modify to restore it? I have Firefox 149 and the new Firefox VPN feature appeared with a VPN toolbar button.

I try keeping a very minimalist toolbar, but if I remove the VPN button from the toolbar, then I could not find any menu or setting item to switch the VPN on/off. The VPN section in the Settings only allows feature configuration but not switching the VPN on/off.

Do I miss something obvious, or did the Firefox developer miss something obvious?

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2030039 Steps to reproduce:

   Open Firefox
   Enable Firefox VPN
   Go to VPN settings
Try to add a domain to the exclusion list
Attempt to use a wildcard (e.g., *.ru) or a regex pattern

Actual results:

The VPN only accepts exact domain names. Wildcards and regular expressions are not supported.

Expected results:

It should be possible to:

Use wildcard patterns (e.g., *.ru) or regular expressions to exclude groups of domains
Define more specific rules that override general patterns (e.g., exclude *.ru but allow a specific domain within that zone)

This would provide more flexible and practical control over VPN routing.
