Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. Results same with Verify Integrity > Task: checkIntegrity - Unable to fix corruption, places.sqlite will be replaced on next startup > Task: checkCoherence - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: expire - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: vacuum - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: stats - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. > Task: _refreshUI - The task queue was cleared by an error in another task. I got a notification from Firefox to update the browser. Which is fine. But, when I tried to go to History to delete the downloads and previous months history. It will not allow me to delete the months history. It does nothing.

I was working on my computer when I accidentally clicked out of my tab that had all my pinned windows on it. But then I accidentally started a new tab and deleted it. So now when I try to restore previous session it goes to the tab I just deleted and not the one with all my pins. Is there a way I can get all my pinned tabs back?

I have a new computer, which is set up just like my old computer. for some reason, when I click "history" it is blank. I have tried and tried in settings to get it to show, but have not had any luck. Can you please help me?

When I restarted my Windows 10 computer, the activity bar and all my history disappeared.

It was working perfectly this morning.

Any ideas?

This is the second computer in the last two weeks that has done this to me.

Firefox is no longer saving all my history. OR, I can't find it. I can't find it because: HISTORY/SHOW ALL HISTORY is now only showing "today". This occurred with v133, but I do not know if it occurred with any given update. I updated to 134.0.1. That did not fix problem. I have not tried regressing.

In the past, I was able to save YEARS of history (although I sometimes created a new profile to restart the history file due to its size).

1. I was using the "DYNAMIC HISTORY" addon, which worked fine for years. When I found Firefox was showing only the current days' history, I disabled that addon. Didn't fix anything.

2. "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" option IS NOT SELECTED. NEVER HAS BEEN

3. OTHER SETTINGS: no - Always use private browsing mode yes - Remember browsing and download history yes - Remember search and form history NO - Clear history when Firefox closes

any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. I am also baffled: googling this problem comes up empty handed.

All of a sudden while using Firefox I am not able to access my history. I can normally click on the three horizontal bars at the top right, but that isn't working anymore.

I just want good in browse . But bad is like dirty movie or video we want delete this after I use good browse I hope u understand what I mean to use good browse or bad any of this bad automatically to delete this please always remember this thank u

The icons on my home page suddenly became significantly reduced in size. Sure, I can tell what they are, and I've increased the text size for their identifiers below the icons. But they are now so small as to be not pleasing to the eye. How can I put them back the way they wuz?

I just accidentally deleted a day of history, now it has to relearn a bunch of stuff.

Please add support for undo, so that if you do it by accident, you can reverse it.

Here's how to get back your tabs and windows from a previous session using the Firefox menu:

   Click the menu button  to open the menu panel.
   Click History, then click Restore Previous Session.

I'm using Firefox 135.0 on a MacBook Pro with a large external monitor.

The menu bar at the top of the screen (NOT the Firefox window) has "Firefox, File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Windows, Help".

When I click on "History", it shows me the most recent 15 pages I visited. Always 15. I'd like to increase that number, as 15 is inconveniently few and uses less than half my screen height. However, I can't find a preference for it either under "Settings" or in "about:config".

I know that there are at least two ways to get to a more extensive history list, but they need more clicks.

So is there a way to change 15 into a larger number?

Suddenly Firefox has started losing all my tabs when I close Firefox. It never used to. Windows 11 I have checked my settings - they are all as they are meant to be to NOT do this so why is it doing it????

Firefox claims does NOT save site/URL visit information while in Private Mode. And I thought that was true. However, I just discovered that Firefox DOES SAVE Private Mode URL/Site visits - in this specific place. I don't know how long the history will be saved - it looks like at least as long as the Window is open. I want to keep most of my open Private Tabs open - but want to Delete/Clear the ones I'm done with. I thought/understood that Private window/tab/visit info was not tracked/saved - and it's not saved in History, or Searchable. But it appears that this doesn't apply to the Recently Closed Tabs MenuItem. And there seems to be NO 'delete' or 'clear' option for this field. I can't find any reference to the subject in the Forum or Articles. The picture I've attached is NOT of the Recently Closed Tabs while in Private Browsing, but is the same MenuItem and field contents. Thanks for your interest. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to delete/clear this specific history.

I use the Zen browser and I can't use ctrl+shift+c to view the element, I deleted the shortcut specified in the settings for copying the page URL so that the inspector would work, but it doesn't work, although the correct shortcut is indicated when hovering, but it doesn't work
