How do I remove a shortcut from the Firefox address bar? I understand that I can "uncheck search, address bar, and shortcuts" in Firefox settings, but I think this just hides them, so I wanted to solve the problem fundamentally and asked for advice. Please tell me how to completely remove shortcut URLs from the address bar.

I have the Bitdefender extension along with their SecurePass extension. But the SecurePass extension is not loading well on a daily basis. I have to remove and then reload it daily. Why does this keep happening?

I recently upgraded from 128esr to 142, and one of the versions changed the tab mute button into a separate button.

How do I change it back to mute button on logo? if it isn't possible, can I remove the mute button

I am unable to locate the setting Enable Link preview. I am using Firefox 142.0 on Windows 10 Home 22H2. This setting does not appear under Settings>General>Browsing. Are there other settings that are required to enable this facility?

I'm having trouble getting my extensions to show up in the toolbar. Every help article has you start with the puzzle piece icon for extensions, but this is missing from my toolbar. I've tried right clicking to 'customize toolbar' and I am able to drag a extensions icon around, but it's grayed out and doesn't appear when I apply the new settings. This is making my browser virtually unusable since I can't access my password manager, etc.

In short, the extensions icon is missing from my toolbar and no menu options I've found will restore it. Please help!

For a while already (week or 2) i'm trying to activate 2FA on my account, but i always get the following error

"There was a problem enabling two-step authentication. Check that your device's clock is set to update automatically and start over."

I tried it on multiple laptops (all macbooks) with and without VPN and on an iPhone, but the error is the same everywhere.

The error shows in the final steps, after i downloaded and entered a security code. It brings me back to the account page with the error

When I close a video site tab, Firefox freezes and becomes unresponsive. After restarting Firefox from a force quit, I sometimes see a message like: “Bookmarks may not be visible or things may not look normal. Another instance of Firefox is running.” (I don’t remember the exact wording.) In that case, my bookmarks look like they are missing. If I close Firefox again and restart it, the bookmarks reappear, but I am logged out of every site and have to add all my accounts again from the beginning.

This means I have to log back into every single account again, like YouTube and others, which is very inconvenient.

I’ve been using Firefox for over 10 years, and I’ve never experienced this problem before. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it occurs periodically — sometimes every few days, sometimes every few weeks. This never used to happen in the past.

Please, I really need help with this issue. If I back up my cookies beforehand, would restoring them after such a crash bring everything back to normal?

After uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox, when I open new tab I can't immediately start typing. I first have to click on the address bar. Please tell me how to fix this.

Tell me how to stop advertisers from interferring with my rows of bookmarks since many times they take my upper left bookmark location which is the one I use most often. But weird bookmarks are showing up all the time and I continually have to remove them.

I have tried to connect to a major grocery store (which I have many times) and I get "Problem Loading Page" and then The connection to www.frysfood.com was interrupted while the page was loading.
