Hello, I'm not sure if I chose the right topic above.

I'm trying to visit a site which is still using http. But Firefox is automatically redirecting to https, where of course it cannot resolve the site.

In settings, I have it set for "Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode". But still, Ff is redirecting.

I don't know. Maybe I should set for https only, and then enter an exception??

I have searched for a solution, but for every solution I find, when I look up how to do it, it says, before you try this, try that first. After about 5 rounds of that, I got too confused and gave up.

Oh, I also cleared the cache, but no help.

I've enabled all the extra info below. But let me know if you need any other specific info. Do you need the address of the website?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

I am having a problem accessing pages (or popups, I'm not sure) on certain pages.

When I log into specific sites (e.g. Lightspeed, GoDaddy or Shopify) I have a problem opening certain areas. One of the obvious and annoying ones is when I try to access the Live Chat on Lightspeed. The chat is never available for me even though it is 24/7 (see image below showing chat unavailable), but I can access it if I log in on a New Private Window or use a different browser (see second image below, showing chat available).

Is this an easy fix? I tried adding the sites as exceptions but it made no difference, I am obviously missing something.

Thanks for your help. Samantha

Hello.

I am trying to view the ICD-11 (International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision) in my Firefox web browser however the website is not loading properly or, more likely, is loading in a way that prevents/restricts proper access.

Here is a link to the website: https://icd.who.int/browse11/l-m/en

The website works when loaded in Microsoft Edge and displays a left side window with the contents of the ICD-11 classifications. The ICD-11 search bar also works and displays the results of the search in the left side window. Neither of these things occur when using Firefox.

I have limited 'tech skills' when it comes to this, any help would be much appreciated.

Kindest Regards,

Andy

What can I do to prevent websites from logging me out "due to inactivity" and "for your safety" (lol)? This happens with many of my financial (banking/brokerage) sites, for instance, or some tax return sites.

I went them to be like my email accounts (e.g. gmail, yahoo mail). You can have a tab open for Gmail and another tab open for yahoo mail, and even if you don't click or type a single character in hours, they will not log me out.

Is there some way to trick these patronizing "We'll log you out for your good" websites from logging me off?

I have a problem with my website opening in the browser. This is happening only on Mozilla (a web browser), where the website opens up, but then it just opens itself again and restarts from the beginning as if there was a glitch or it's loading things over and over again. I've tested my site in other browsers and on my cell phone and it works fine. I can't explain why this is happening because I don't have all the necessary tools to figure that out for you. For now, my website: authentication legalization services canada is working properly on Chrome browser (another commonly used browser).

So I get the FB white screen(Using Firefox)...and your recommended fixes don't work. Im using a Windows OS..and it quit after a Windows update. If I install Microsoft Browser it works. I don't trust too many folks nowdays, but do you suppose Gates would install something on my updates to shut you down? Just wondering. I can access FB on my Android with your browser. (No Windows updates there) Should I put the tin foil hat away?

I really don't want Microsoft Browsers cause Im not a gates fan, but given the state of affairs...smells fishy to me.

Hi

Usually when I like an article and don't have time to read it, I'll save it for later to read it on my Kindle as plain text.

In FireFox, I'll use the F9 key to Toggle The Reader View to view it in the reader mode, then save the page as text by doing ctrl+s, as I don't need the html version or the images or extra stuff that comes with the article.

However, after the page is saved as text, getpocket.com dumps a lot of unnecessary garbage into the beginning(27 lines) & end(18 lines) of the page, even if I don't have a pocket account nor logged in as listed below.

Is there a way to prevent FF from saving the annoying Pocket self-promo garbage besides saving each page manually and tediously?

Thanks

Some websites add some annoying animation effects into their website's title (that shows in the tab title).

Example: This website: https://colourpop.com/ If you switch to another tab for several seconds, it starts flashing a message, "Hey, where'd you go?". I'd like to be able to disable this and any similar animations that can potentially be added to a website's title. Is this only possible by disabling some scripts and/or using UBlock, etc, or can I do this within Firefox?

Thank you,
