Hi,

If I already use a password manager service, why would I be required to have something similar with Firefox, I don't understand, why would I even need a password with Firefox, is it for added security? I am using a few Firefox extensions, is it for that? Every time I sign on to Firefox browser, I'm prompted for a password. When I headed over to settings to cancel it, a message said not to. This feels more like a pain in the b**t?

Please advise Thanks for helping

Hello,

I'm beginner in development. Today I'm working on some CSS files.

But when I reload, the content don't load the new features. I've try to clear cache, remove stockage on the console , and also try command + f5 (on iMac).

The only one solution I've founded is to clear cache , leave firefox , shutdown computer and restart.

Very contraignant. I've test on Chrome and it work well. So I don't know what I need to do to...

I'm using MAMP to lauch app on local

I've got multiple clients set up to sync via FF sync. Some are older, some are newer.

However, looking at the newest client (set up ~2 weeks ago), I noticed something: It only shows a browser history up to approx. one year in the past. I've checked other clients. My oldes client goes back to ~2016, which is 4 years form now. I know my oldes client is older than 2016, so there has to be more.

Does FF Sync skip older entries? IMHO I'd have to see the exact same history on my older client than on my newer client. That is not the case. Any ideas?

Every time I open Firefox, a javascript from IcelandSue.com tries to connect to the internet. I've refreshed Firefox, cleared the cache, used NoScript to block this script, but it always remains. I've found the site listed as a Data Miner and would like to delete it from where ever it has installed itself inside of Firefox. Thank you, jason

Every time I click on an ICS file, it asks me what to do with it. I tell it to open with Thunderbird, and I check the box for it to do that by default. But it doesn't remember, so I have to select Thunderbird from the list every time. Thunderbird is set as the default in the Options>Applications menu, but it still asks every time.

pressing Ctrl+F doesn't open the "find in this page" toolbar, on any page.

  • doesn't work in safemode, either
  • DOES work when selecting from the "Edit" menu (where it shows the shortcut as being ctrl+f)
  • I read online that Ctrl+G might work? this one has mixed results for me... I think it's working like F3, repeating the previous search, if there is one, and if it has any matches, and only if neither of those are true, opens the "find in this page" toolbar
  • pressing "/" and apostrophe both do their things (but not when an input/textarea has focus, of course)

It said I MAY LOOSE SOME of my information, details, passwords, tabs etc. but it said about some of them.... I restarted my password and i lost absolutely everything :(((( My tabs, details, history, password. Everything. My account is whole clear! Why would they secure all details into password?!! if someone forgot password it is first thing to reset it, but in this case u reset ur password and u loosing everything, which make no sense.... what is the point of it ? :/ Is there any chance I can get back all my stuff??? If not... Will I also loose everything from my other computer? (I just tried to log in on another device. After updating Firefox to 80 and 81, I have a problem adding entries in Wordpress. I add entry No. 1 - it's OK. I add another No. 2 - there is a PROBLEM. New entry No. 2 overwrites entry No. 1 for me. Firefox 79 did not have this problem. To be able to add a new entry, I have to restart the browser (I have in the settings delete cookies and browser history) and then I can add another entry. In other browsers this problem does not exist, so it's a Firefox 80 error, which also appears in 81. I checked only one of my installed wordpress. This looks like a problem with cookies or temporary files.

Po aktualizacji Firefoxa na 80 i 81 mam problem z dodawaniem wpisów w Wordpress. Dodaję wpis nr 1 - jest OK. Dodaję kolejny nr 2 - jest problem. Nowy wpis nr 2 nadpisuje wpis nr 1. W Firefoxie 79 tego problemu nie było. Żeby móc dodać nowy wpis, muszę ponownie uruchomić przeglądarkę (mam w ustawieniach usuwanie plików cookies i historii przeglądarki) i wtedy mogę dodawać kolejny wpis.

If you execute the following code in the browser's console

onkeydown = function(e){console.log(e);};

it should log every keypress to the console window, however, the event doesn't seem to fire when I press Control, Alt or Shift (by themselves, keycombos like Shift + W work). Trying the same in Edge for example works for every key, including the three mentioned. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug of firefox? I should also mention that I'm using the developer edition of firefox.
