This feature has suddenly appeared and I absolutely detest it! I don't need it, don't like it, don't want it! I have searched everywhere on how to disable it. PLEASE tell me there is an option to do that.

I'm running Firefox browser 88.0 (64) bit, and have been trying since before Xmas to upgrade it to a newer version. It's installed on an older Dell laptop running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (which I've also tried repeatedly to upgrade without success).

I've tried to upgrade both through the UI, but also tried using the command line in Terminal. Per advice in other threads, I've found the best mirror site and changed my settings to use that, but still no luck. Even the preliminary "sudo apt update" via Terminal fails; the first error tells me that the public key is not available. I assume that's the place to start, but don't know how to correct it.

I'm up against the deadline for updating my browser, and would very much appreciate any help you can provide. (Please note that I'm posting from a newer computer, so automatically generated info about my system won't apply. See the screenshots for that info).

I have a new macbook air running Sequoia 15.3.2, firefox is up to date, my battery which should technically last about 12 hours and I only get 5. Ran through everything with Apple and they said it is a Firefox issues. I don't have any extensions, add on etc. Thoughts?

Firefox has a feature where, if you select a tab and drag your cursor downwards while still pressing down on it, it will open that tab in a new window. Is there any way to disable this? I am frequently opening tabs in new windows when I'm just trying to view them and it drives me mad. I never use this feature intentionally- I am constantly using on accident due to quickly moving my cursor away from the tab bar to view the tab I just opened. Thank you.

My experience with Firefox has been great for more than 15 years. However recently there's been a trend of adding new functionality without asking the user whether they want it or not. Moreover, some things cannot be disabled even if I try hard enough.

It was an unpleasant surprise to discover that "This time, search with" panel was removed without my consent, and is now replaced by an extremely inconvenient button. I firmly believe that this is not how UX design is done, and whoever made that choice needs to reevaluate their decision.

How can I revert this change besides rolling back the browser version?

The setting "browser.urlbar.scotchBonnet.enableOverride" did not help, it reverts to *true* on every restart. I have not been able to find any other settings, and I believe that this is not something that a user should do their research on.

Is there a way to affect this change?

Web pages that are supposed to contain emojis are blank. I can highlight where emojis are supposed to be shown but the actual images of the emojis aren't there. about:config font.name-list.emoji correctly contains "Apple Color Emoji" If it is relevant, this has been a bug/issue that has persisted for a couple of months now (can't name an exact date).

12/12/24 - netflix says i need to upgrade firefox browser in order to watch vis, but running MOST current version (115.18.0esr). Mac OS 10.12.6 . need help fixing issue. thanks

Using iOS on Mac Mini desktop, I get no sound on democracynow.org but on the iPhone the sound works fine. Most other streams/videos have fine sound but not imdb.com on the desktop with iOS but again, fine on the iPhone.

Chase stopped letting me sign into my account. They assert my laptop IOS browser is not supported. Chase wants me to download Firefox 128, but my “About Firefox” says my browser is up to date @ 115.30Oesr. I am afraid to download the version Chase is offering/demanding. So can you tell me if this is a legitimate app and why doesn’t Firefox offer it to me? My IOS is version 10.14.6

Firefox told me to update Firefox. I had to get help from Apple support to do so. Now the new version takes forever to load anything. I can't read comments from other people on my Facebook posts. Amazon takes forever to show the products that I am looking for. I saved both versions of Firefox when I updated, so how do I find the previous version to use? It was much better on my computer.

I use a 2009 Mac Mini running OS 10.11.6 dedicated for streaming. I was prompted to update Firefox to ESR which I did, replacing the older version of Firefox. The new version will not open.

It was the only browser I had. Can I undo the installation? Or download 78.15.0 somehow to restore the functionality of this Mac?

After recent update bookmarks disappeared. When I restore them and then close firefox developer edition the bookmarks toolbar is gone again. It seems like a bug in that recent update. Please advise.

On MacOS, in order to set keyboard shortcut, I need to know the exact name for the feature. But I can't find tab navigations in Firefox's menu.

For example, in Chrome, they have a menu called "Tab" and there is "Select Next Tab" and "Select Previous Tab" in the menu. That are the names I need to set keyboard shortcut. But I can't find the equivalent in Firefox.

From the screenshot, the keyboard shortcut works for Chrome, but not working for Firefox as I don't have the exact name for tab navigation.

I recently got a new computer, Apple iMac. I'm trying to transfer all my bookmarks I have on my older HP computer to the newer computer Apple. I downloaded the Firefox browser to the iMac. I see where there is a link to transfer bookmarks when I loaded the browser. But, when I click on the link, nothing really happens? There is no transfer of my bookmarks for my old computer to the newer computer. My OS with my older HP was Windows 7. My OS with my acquired Apple is Monterey. Can someone be of help with transferring bookmarks from one computer to another? I have many bookmarks so it would be very helpful to be able to make that transfer. Thank you.

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. The directions tell me to open the file that i just downloaded, which is fine, except that I don't know the file name or location. What is it, and where is it? or how do I f find out?

Firefox is stuck in a loop! After installing the 145 update, it just keeps asking me to sign into with my admin credentials to install "a new helper tool" over and over. After entering my password nothing happens and when I try to relaunch, the FF icon just bounces. ("Force Quit" shows that the application is not responding.) After multiple attempts, I rebooted my laptop, but it didn't help, as I still get the request for installing the helper too. I'm in the midst of multiple project deadlines and this is very frustrating! Thanks in advance for your help.

Yesterday I have updated tp macOS 15. Sine then I have trupuble displaying any webpages in Firefox 130. Th econnection just times out. Any other browser such as Brave, Safari, Home, Edge are still working as before teh update. How to fix this please?
