Hey community!

Is there any way to make the cmd + 0-9 keyboard shortcut in Mac OS ignore pinned tabs?

Alternatively, for the shortcut ctrl + 0-9 to activate pinned tabs, and for the shortcut cmd + 0-9 unpinned tabs?

Thanks for the answers!

Hi,

I cannot find a way to turn off/disable the "AutoFill" setting... it keeps on revealing my email addresses before I've typed them out.

I'm not a fan of these security breeches. Firefox is giving the wrong info online about disabling this feature because each time I try to disable in preferences/privacy... there is no "dropdown menu" whatsoever.

Any help on this matter will be most appreciated.

I would like Firefox to access the Mac OS "Dictionary" for immediate definitions, the way it accesses its own dictionary for spelling, or as Mac's Safari, accesses the Mac dictionary. I see nothing listed in Firefox>Services, nor does the OS's Services Preferences show Firefox as an app to connect services to. I can always get the definition with a right-click on the highlighted word, but I'd like the definition to be a readily available as the spelling.

TIA,

I have tried many times and many ways to delete cookies but the little blighters won't delete. I have used the option "manage data" and cleared each one individually, I have tried "remove all' and I have tried clearing all history. I have tried each option many times and have shut down firefox and my mac repeatedly but the cookies won't go. I know it has done something because it logged me out of all my accounts and all the form data and browsing history [which I would rather have kept] is gone....but those rotten cookies are still alive! This must be a bug. I am using Mac Big Sur. Any help would be very much appreciated please! Thanks muchly.

I have consulted https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-restore-my-tabs-last-time. That article says:

-Click on the menu button [three lines at the upper right] to open the menu panel. -Click History. -Click Recently Closed Tabs.

I am using Firefox 95.0.2 for Mac (iOS 10.15.7). There is no "Recently Closed Tabs" option to click after clicking on History per the above instruction. I have saved various files from the time of the crash, in particular "previous.jsonlz4" (a 20.6 MB file, as I had a very large number of tabs open). Is there any way to use this or some other file to restore my old tabs?

I have three Firefox profiles: A, B, and C. I tried to give them all different themes. A has a red theme and keeps it consistently. B, my default profile, should have a green theme, and C should have a black theme. However, when I change B's theme to green, the theme on C also changes to green, and when I change the theme on C to black, the theme for B also changes to black. I don't know what I did differently for A! How can I make my profile themes stick for B and C?

This is a minor issue, but it's really annoying me. I like having certain pages pinned on the page that opens when I open a new tab; it's easier than always having to search through my many bookmarks for pages I use every day. But I find it really annoying and unhelpful – and also embarrassing, if another person is there – that Firefox only allows me to do this if I also allow it to display sites I've visited. The two should be completely separate in my opinion, like on Chrome. I can delete individual sites, but they're just replaced with other, even less relevant ones. So now I have a blank, useless new tab page, instead of a helpful one that shows me the sites I need to get to, because I don't want to risk a coworker, friend, or family member randomly seeing whatever sites I may have visited once or twice months ago. (This doesn't have to be extreme (porn, etc) to be embarrassing; I don't necessarily want people to see that I've been shopping for jewelry or hair dye or whatever.) It's just unprofessional and unnecessary. Thanks for fielding my complaint.

I'd swear that I used to be able to click on an animation/video/gif to stop at looping, but I cannot stop this one by doing that:

https://d2rdhxfof4qmbb.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/20190129121540/facts-min.gif

It must've been one of those custom settings I had before I got the new computer and ran a clean install of firefox.

I have set media seamless looping to off in about:config, but I can't see what other preferences would relate to this.

Loving the picture-in-picture feature. I googled to see if there was a keyboard shortcut to pop out the video and saw that ctrl+shift+] or cmd+shift+] should do the trick, but on my mac (firefox 95.0.2) the ctrl version seems to do nothing while the cmd version goes to next tab, which is redundant with ctrl+tab. I'm wondering if the cmd+shift+] shortcut is being overriden accidentally, or if there's a different keyboard shortcut for this on mac? cheers

Hello,

I just upgraded to Firefox 98.0.1. And there doesn't seem to be an option to add Pocket suggestions to the homepage, as there used to be.

You can add Pocket articles that you've saved, but not suggestions from Pocket.

It used to be under settings - home - recommended by Pocket.

Has this been removed from the options?

Thanks, Taylor
