My add-ons act like they're installed, but don't show up. This didn't happen until after I installed FF4, had lots of trouble with it, and had to go back to FF3.5.5. Suddenly my add-ons don't work. How can I fix this?

I installed FF4 on both my laptop and PC, but I kept getting kicked offline, especially from Facebook. I then uninstalled FF4 and went back to FF3.5.5 (on the PC) and FF 3.6 on the laptop. This solved my connectivity issues, but add-ons are now acting up. No add-ons at all show up on the PC, and only Personas show on the laptop. When I try to install Forecast Fox and Colorful Tabs, I get the "install now" message and the message to restart FF, which I do. When it repaints, the add-ons are just not there. I expect it's something I'm doing wrong, but I don't know what it is. Java is updated. Any pointers? TIA!

Firefox will not recognize when I change the settings for .torrent and .rar files to "do this automatically for files like this from now on", EVEN AFTER I change the setting in Tools>Options>Applications.

Is there a way to export autocomplete entries to a new computer? I know how to export bookmarks and saved passwords, but what about all the information for commonly-used online forms, like name, address, phone, email, etc.? I'm using Windows XP and Firefox 3.6 now and am about to get a new computer with Windows 7. Thanks.

I have tried several different ways to change my default homepage to Google.ca:

- I tried changing it in TOOLS - OPTIONS - GENERAL - STARTUP - HOMEPAGE - "use current page" (while on google.ca)

- I tried changing it in TOOLS - OPTIONS - GENERAL - STARTUP - HOMEPAGE - "use bookmark" (selected my google.ca bookmark)

I am using Firefox 3.6 because installing Firefox 4 caused my Back button to malfunction (pressing back once would often make Firefox go back twice... I posted about that problem already but Firefox support forum was unable to help)

I know how to assign a default homepage under normal circumstance but that isn't working, can anyone suggest what else I can try?

Thanks very much.

Please help. Each time I try and use FF, it periodically stops working about once every minute for about 10 to 15 seconds. Sometimes it will display a white screen and at the top of the blue bar it will say (Not Responding) after Firefox. It begins working again after the 10 seconds or so. I have increased my virtual memory, but this did not fix it.

Also, each time I load FF, the session restore screen appears, despite having a normal shutdown previously.

I have not seen this problem explained earlier, and hope that someone can help. Thanks
