Hello people, sometimes I would get the message "Shockwave Flash may be busy or it may have stopped responding". There is no way I can fix this. I have tried Google and they don't show tutorials on how to permanently fix this. What year is this? 2002? Not it's not. It's almost 2015. Can you please fix this for Firefox 34 or newer?

I know there is another post about this, but the user didn't give too much information, and the "solution" does nothing to help.

I had bunch of tabs open, which I normally do on Firefox without issue, and Firefox automatically updated itself. Shortly after, Firefox crashed while I was trying to access another web page.

Since then, it will constantly crash. If I restart and restore all my tabs, it will normally crash as soon as I try to use a new tab or type in my old ones. If I leave it alone for a while it seems to work for a matter of minutes before crashing again.

I even reset Firefox, but that did nothing for me. It just seems like it wants to crash no matter what I try.

I had just put Firefox as my default web browser (as I had it this way before, but switched to Chrome when too many problems were occurring from a previous update). I had to go right back to Chrome. While I like to keep all my browsers updated, this is simply ridiculous. I have never crashed so many times from doing what a browser is meant to do.

Anyway I can downgrade back to just version 33.0.0 until another version comes out?

I'm running XP64 pro. The scripts on Yahoo will stall FF after a few minutes. Often I get the popup message that a plugin script has stalled and asks if I want to prevent seeing this again from the site. That's nice but every page on Yahoo is unique. So the stall happens on every page that isn't closed after a short while. The more stalls I get the slower my computer runs even though I use task manager to kill stalled processes. Then I have to reboot to clear out the FF remnants. Is there a way to kill remnants of stalled scripts without rebooting? Often FF crashes and asks me to send a report to Mozilla. Seems to me you guys should have a feature to enable extended logging for inclusion in crash reports. I have sent many requests to fix the problem. If you guys can't fix the root cause of the problem then can you at least provide a decent workaround so the memory doesn't get cluttered up with orphaned threads sucking up all my CPU power?

Hi,

We've written a NPAPI plugin to wrap our native player engine and enable the users to write an web based player. I'm running into a problem where my NPAPI plugin shows up in Plugins list, but my test page using that plugin via an Object tag doesn't work properly, complains "TypeError: plugin(...).xxx is not a function". This was working until 4 hours back on my browser.

This is how my object tag looks like in my test html file,

<object id="plugin0" type="application/x-mmfr" width="900" height="450" > <param name="onload" value="pluginLoaded" /> </object>

I've my plugin installed properly and registry values are proper too and also Firefox shows up the plugin in the Plugins list in "about:plugins".

Once it stopped working, I tried uninstalling the Firefox and reinstall again, but still the problem persists.

Could someone please shed some light here on what I could be doing wrong? And also the same code works in my team member's system and our plugin works well in Firefox browser.

Thanks, Prem

I have sync enabled on a desktop (Win 10 64bit), a windows laptop (also Win 10 64bit), and both OSX and Windows 10 on my MacBook Pro (both 64 bit). There are some legacy plugins that I don't care about any more, and I try to delete them. They delete successfully on whichever machine, and are gone upon restarting Firefox there...but later or the next day, they're back.

It acts like there's a sync issue, and it thinks that the plugins should be reinstalled because the "sync" master says they should be there. Am I missing something? Is there a way to log into Sync and remove them from there, so that they're removed from ALL my Firefox installations?

Also some plugins etc. state that they are incompatible with FF.48. is this a picture of things to come or will it be sorted. I am (regrettably) using w10 which -annoyingly, does too much potching around of it's own volition.
