I can't re-open a saved tab group. I saved it and closed firefox but when I returned I couldn't find where to access it. I see all of my saved tabs when I right-click on a tab and choose "Add Tab to Group", but when I move the tab to that group it just disappears rather than open the group. Any help would be appreciated! :)

A few days back, the browser "+" symbol used to open another tab at the top right of the browser window disappeared like a bad odor in the wind. Performed a search and located instructions on line that explained using 'about:config' settings to restore the symbol. It worked and I was browsing wonderfully again.
After closing the browser a few days later, the + symbol has vanished again upon restarting. Have searched in vain online to locate the parameter in about:config that I need to reset, but cannot locate it and I do not remember the parameter to search. CRS problem.
I can go into the Customize menu and drag a folder with a + symbol to the menu bar but it behaves differently. Just want the convenience of clicking the + symbol to automagically start another tab.

Even though I have settings set to load previous tabs when Firefox is started up but when it is restarted it doesn't load the tabs. This has only occurred the last few days. My solution is to select "reopen all windows" which does what I want but also opens several other versions of Firefox. Noteworthy, confusing, but probably not associated: In the course of trying to work through this, I have had a baseball playing on Chrome. I ended up closing out Chrome but the baseball game audio continues even though the Chrome appears to be closed on the taskbar.

Every time I update my drivers for Nvidia it of course reloads the screens. This causes all the tabs in Firefox to become separated on the Windows 11 taskbar. In other words, it looks like I have a new firefox window open for each tab (which I'm assuming is how it works but it's hidden most of the time).
It's not a HUGE deal per se, but it is kind of annoying. I have to close then reopen Firefox.

I am searching for the option to remove that damn volume icon in tabs. I am constantly accidentally muting tabs when I want to switch to them.

I sometimes spend an extraordinary amount of time writing a forum entry or online email -- sometimes 5+ hours -- just to get it to say exactly what I want it to say. And all too frequently, I accidentally press C-W (the delete-word key on my editor), and my work is instantly gone. I spent several days attempting to solve this problem. Apparently I'm not the only one who has lost data this way. Entries on Reddit pointed me to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1378404#answer-1510431. I followed the instructions carefully, and double-checked my work, but C-W still kills my current tab. The issue had been archived, but not solved.
I am a programmer (but certainly not in JavaScript), so I try to take technically complex solutions in stride. But after letting things percolate thru my mind for a few days, I realized that I'm not being fair. FireFox is marketed for public consumption. And it's not fair to my sisters, my mother, or other folks who have never programmed anything in their life, to pretend like a solution that might have worked for me (but didn't), would be even a little bit comprehensible to them. I was particularly struck, by something that the moderator said -- not by his words, per se, but by the perspective that his words revealed:
--- Only closing a window (Ctrl+Shift+W) could possibly make Firefox display a warning, closing a tab is always done without a --- warning as you can reopen a closed tab via Ctrl+Shift+T.
Who would know that? I would venture to guess that 99% of FireFox's users don't even know that you can control FireFox from your keyboard -- let alone actually want to do it. People control their browsers with their mouse. They use their keyboards only to type in forum entries and such, or to scroll up/down thru a webpage. I can see where devs might prefer to control/test FireFox from their keyboards, but I'm surprised that they would leave tens of undocumented shortcuts lying about like landmines that everyday users could stumble onto.
So I'm requesting that FireFox disable Ctrl+W and Ctrl+Shift+W (which are the most dangerous shortcuts), by default. Ideally, it would provide an about:config entry so that devs could re-enable those shortcuts if they wish to. By the way, the referenced support entry lists only 1 person with this problem, and only 6 replies. But it lists 2124 views.
Thank you

Hello, My firefox, I have from top to bottom, Tabs bar, search bar, bookmarks My problem is that the tabs are very large. I don't know how I did this.. partially because I had to enlarge type.. I like tabs to show what I'm on and go back and forth sometimes but would like to get them smaller. is that possible? IE: my Home button shows up as a Tab, so I can't even x out of it without firefox closing. I always thought my home button was just beside my bookmarks.. Oh well.. if someone has any ideas, please let me know.. Thanks in advance, Linda

How to automatically focus urlbar when "New tab next to right"?

Hello, recently started using group tabs v143 - very cool!
One thing I noticed is that when I close all the ungrouped tabs I was just using, FF will then open one of the grouped tabs. I assume this was the last grouped tab I used, which may not be today, and not what I want to do right now. Is there a way to have FF not go into a group after that last ungrouped tab was closed - maybe just open a new blank tab or homepage? If not possible now, where do I add this to a feature/setting wishlist? Cheers!
I created a Tab Group, love it! I closed it. But now, how the heck do I open it? I looked in every menu.

Hello everyone,
Like most of you, I'm aggressively attacked by advertising new tabs.
I'd like to have this: my tabs static, no movement, all fixed sizes, and no new tabs on redirects. If I need a new tab, I manually click the "+".-sign.
Fox tries to fit all tabs in, at the same time.
What I have tried so far is not working:
1. pinned tabs always get un-pinned at restart
2. pop-ups are stopped in Firefox own Settings
3. my settings in about:config: browser.uidensity = 0 browser.tabs.animate = false browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled = false browser.tabs.allowTabDetach = false browser.tabs.tabMinWidth = 68 px dom.popup_allowed_events = False browser.tabs.loadInBackground = false services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.tabs.loadInBackground = false accessibility.blockautorefresh = false services.sync.prefs.sync.accessibility.blockautorefresh = false toolkit.tabbox.switchByScrolling = False browser.link.open_newwindow = 2 browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external = 3
Tabs still move, change size, and unwanted ones appear. :/
What settings should I change, add, or remove? Anyone more proficient than me, in about:config-programming?
Cheers!

Firefox crashed. I am trying to get it to how I had it before this. One of the problems is the new tabs thing. I know about CTRL-T, I have not used it. I have used the + on the tabs for years. I know, big deal, it's just inconvenient, interrupts my train of thought to switch, which is no big deal. But if anyone has a moment and can answer, it would be a blessing for me. Thank you.
