Bought a new laptop and I had my old Dell laptop transfer all my data to my new HP. My email account went thru fine. But for some unknown reason, I couldn't get my Firefox browser transferred, and I NEED to get my saved passwords from the Firefox Master Password manager.

I think I made a big mistake after data was transferred and I started setting up the HP -- (feel like I got 'tricked' into using Microsoft Edge browser) and didn't know how to get Firefox browser so could get my passwords. So unfortunately, I ended up clicking Download Firefox browser and it was a brand new browser like I was a new first-time user as it was 'blank'....like I would have to start completely over. I have been a long-time Mozilla Firefox browser user. I have been desperately and frustratingly trying to retrieve my Original Firefox Browser that has ALL my info that was so handy and easy to use.

Look at the attachment image. The 'Help' in the Firefox bar won't work anymore. I'm not able to get the Troubleshoot Mode to work.

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I don't understand the problem. My accessing Firefox has become limited. I received a note to Upgrad to windows 11... I hae already upgraded. What must I do too have it recognised?

1/19/26 I have used Firefox for years and now it looks like Microsoft Bing has taken over and I cannot get Firefox back. It installs to a certain point and stops. Can you help me? email: [edited email from community support forum]

Your article about the expiration of Windows 10 says that anyone that has FireFox on the Release Channel doesn't have to worry, that updates will continue to support Windows 10. I don't know what that means (Release Channel). And how can I check if that's what I have?

Recover data from previous version of fire fox and help with the new version

When l look at Settings>Updates>Check for updates: I am usually presented with an update such as the one just now: Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - k32267602 (version 1.443.4.0) current channel (broad) completed00 -

After checking for updates I will then go to SETTINGS> IT clearly shows that I am running Windows 11 PRO.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY IN PLACES THAT ARE TRACKING ME AND TAKING MY PERSONAL INFORMATI0N, THAT IT SH0WS OR SAYS THAT I am running Windows 10? I often see it if I sign into one of the many different accounts that require 2 factor authentication, which will send me a notification alerting me that someone has signed into my account from a NEW DEVICE. OR FROM AN UNKNOWN DEVICE. That is when they ask if I recognize this login and it shows device and location from which the login attempt is happening. IF I answered honestly, (because it is showing a login attempt happening from a (WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM) and my system shows Me that it is running Windows 11 PR0: it would flag as suspicious and my account would get locked up for sure. Instead, because of the odd hour of the night it occurs, that combined with the location I know it is myself and even though it says "ON A SYSTEM RUNNING WIND0WS 10", I force myself to lie and answer that I do recognize the attempt. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP FIND A SOLUTI0N TO THIS ERROR. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I want to confirm that Mozilla Firefox is my default browser. I want it to appear when I start up my computer and have it appear on my screen when I'm at rest. But first, I need to set the page up again.

(When I hit "browse" below, Firefox does not appear. My documents file opens up, wanting to save something to a file or folder.)
