After doing an update on my macbook air, I opened firefox and selected restore previous session (which was a selectable option). However, the window does not appear anywhere, even though when I click on the icon in the dock, it shows that the window exists (so my session was correctly restored, but its not visible at present). Any help?

Mozilla Firefox since v127.0 cannot install anymore the Adobe Acrobat Pro extension (adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi)

Since Mozilla Firefox web browser v127.0 (released June 11 2024) the manual installation of the Adobe Acrobat Pro extension (the adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi file) do not work anymore!

So, when you go in any higher version of Mozilla Firefox web browser then v126.0.1 (released May 28, 2024) to this web browser Menu Bar -> Tools -> Add-ons and Themes -> Extensions -> Install Add-on From File..., and then try to manually import-install the Adobe Acrobat Pro extension (the adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi file) into the Mozilla Firefox web browser, and from this HDD location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Browser\WCFirefoxExtn\WebExtn\signed_extn\adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi

The Mozilla Firefox web browser will say during this .xpi file installation: "This add on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt"!

However, in any Mozilla Firefox web browser version prior v127.0 (released June 11 2024), this manual import-installation of the adobe_acrobat-1.0-windows.xpi file will be most successfully installed in a Mozilla Firefox web browser without any problem!

I also create the most detailed and step-by-step post on the Mozillazine.org Forum and the Adobe Forum about all of this problem:

https://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=14985444#p14985444

https://community.adobe.com/t5/acroba.../14893786#M480889

https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/.../48914657-mozilla-firefox-since-v127-0-cannot-install-anymor

So, please help and advice further. Thank you in advance and best regards!

Is there any Add-on that will shoot a scrolling screenshot (full page screenshot)?

For reference, there's an excellent extension on Chrome/Brave called "Go full screen" which has simple but perfect functionality, one-click automation, saves as either .pdf or .png format to your downloads folder.

Hi, using Mac OS. Have tried the about:config set the auto update configs to false, still it keeps prompting every day or a few hours . There is also a timer setting. They dont seem to work, and these update notifications are very irritating, keep popping up every 8 hours or so.

Not sure the necessity for these incessive updates every day or hours, it uses a lot of system resources and hdd space, can Firefox put back the option when we can just tick 'update only when we want them' , in these, no background timer required they use system resources and there are many of us do not want them.

Good morning,

When I attempt to download the Firefox 115.16.0esr 32 bit download from the site it will only supply me with the Firefox Setup 128.3.0esr. I have tried several times with the same result. Given my PC is far from thr newest (funding prevents large outlays) I must continue with my older 32bit system but try to keep as current as possible with updates.

Please can you advise as to what is going wrong or where I can download the update I need?

Many thanks in anticipation,

John Andrews

Twice now in the past couple of months this has happened to me:

Restart to Keep Using Firefox

An update to Firefox started in the background. You’ll need to restart to finish the update.

Your windows and tabs will be quickly restored, but private ones will not.

EVEN THOUGH in my Firefox settings this is set to no automatic updates.

What is happening?? How do I turn this off! This seems like a virus? Please advise.

Since slipstreaming a current version each time appears to be a non starter I am trying to use the Stub installer that downloads (what I hope) is the newest version of Firefox each time its run in my Windows Sandbox no matter when I downloaded the stub installer file.

My real question is how do I get the silent install to work? Right now it always brings up the splash screen and a thermometer during the install. I would like to not see that each time I spin up a new Microsoft SandBox.

firefox installer.exe /? -h or -? shows me no parameters, and starts an install even If I say NO to allowing it to make changes to Windows. (which seems very odd) -Bill

I have a Lenovo Chromebook, (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook | 14 Inch FHD Laptop | MediaTek Kompanio 520 | 4GB RAM | 64GB eMMC | Chrome OS | Abyss Blue) version is 129, and Firefox will not download, I have tried doing this from the Play store and even though I click to "download to this device" it keeps downloading the smartphone app which is no use to me, I really need the full app please. I have also downloaded the Linux beta Firefox and again it's the smartphone one. I have spent hours and hours and hours on this, please help.

Kind regards Polly.

Hello,

I've tried running "firefox -P". I've also tried deleting ~/.mozilla. No matter what I do, I still keep getting this message.

OS: Linux 6.10.13-3-MANJARO Firefox versions: firefox 131.0.3-1 installed from the Arch repo via pacman; also firefox-132.0.2 installed from tarball downloaded from firefox.com and unpacked as /opt/firefox.

With firefox 131.0.3-1, I get the following error message:

[Parent 33389, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 33445 exited on signal 9: file /usr/src/debug/firefox/firefox-131.0.3/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:335

With firefox-132.0.2, no messages are printed.

What is even more confounding: I have 2 user accounts on this computer. When I login as myself, I get this popup. When I login as the other user, firefox opens up fine.

I've already looked at the following, but that has not helped. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-run-firefox-when-profile-missing-inaccessible https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1327628 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1396772 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1454745

I'd be most grateful if someone could please suggest any other alternatives to try. Thanks!

There used to be an option for a separate search window on the address bar. I found it really useful especially for a instant spell check. The option was there then after an update, it wasn't. WHY WHY WHY????? Is there any way for me to put it back? I hate using the address bar to search! Unless I open a new tab or window, regaining control of the prior tab/window is difficult.
