Above 70-75k characters, text input fields on any site have a ton of input lag -- like, I have to wait 10s after I type a sentence for the sentence to finish slowly updating letter by letter. I've tested across multiple sites, and in Private mode (to confirm it's not caused by extensions, none of which are allowed in Private mode).
I also tried setting `accessibility.force_disabled=1` as suggested here and here, but that didn't help (and yes, I restarted). Disabling hardware acceleration didn't help either.

Firefox believes I have a security key.
What is a security key? Where do I find it? Why does Firefox think I have one?
And why is there no helpful information to explain this confusing UX?

UbuntuStudio 22.04 uses the Firefox Snap package by default. The latest automatic update does not display pages correctly in normal mode, but does work correctly on Safe Mode. Snap.io lists only the latest version of Firefox so I was unable to ask snap to revert to the previous release (prior to 5 Mar 24) and by the time I had tried to investigate the previous version was no longer cached. I did not see a way to force a fresh download of firefox from the latest channel on snap.io.
I tried the snap beta channel for v124, but that exhibited the same problems.
I tried adding a symbolic link to colors.css after seeing firefox complaining that it could not be found when started from the command line. That removed the error/warning message but did not clear the problem with normal mode.
I use the en-GB locale extension only. The technical details about my PC are as follows:
I have now downloaded v123 and installed it in my local home directory, and that version is working well. I have removed the firefox channel via snap. It is likely to be a fault in the construction of the snap for v123 that was not present for v122 prior to 5 Mar 24.

Had to click the text field 3 times just to write title to this post because I made a post on Twitter that's getting a bunch of interaction. Notifications take the cursor focus away from the text input field whether that's on a site or the search bar or the address bar. Very annoying. Windows 10, latest version of Firefox, but it also happened with the previous version. Please help!

To open a link of a website in the background tab is CTRL+click, why is it that to open a bookmark of the bookmark toolbar in the background tab is CTRL+shift+click. It is confusing! A bookmark is a link! For comparison, both of them are CTRL + click in chromium. BTW, there is no explanation in advanced configuration preferences.

I have been dealing with https://www.mynylottery.org/portal/ for weeks trying to get their software to recognize my location, required to place subscriptions on their site. I have switched off every safety and restriction in settings to open the computer to their search for my location. I finally got them on the phone and they told me that for a reason they don't understand, Firefox is the only browser that is currently giving them problems. It refuses to allow them to pinpoint location of the connecting computer either via wi-fi or ethernet connection. Please provide some guidance and if necessary, contact the NYS lottery to solve the problem.

For a couple of months, I've been getting the error message "This page isn't redirecting properly" whenever I use Firefox. The problem doesn't seem to happen when I'm clicking on a bookmark, a saved link in Firefox's history, or a Google search result, but it happens almost every time when there is some sort of redirect involved (for example, from a link in an email newsletter to the linked website, or from a login/authentication page to the website's main page). This used to clear up after hitting "Try again" four or five times, but this week it's become stuck in an infinite loop, making some websites unusable.
I've tried the following: - Clearing cookies and cache for specific websites - Clearing cookies and cache for the entire browser - Starting Firefox in troubleshooting mode to see if the problem is with a specific extension - Deleting Firefox entirely and redownloading it - Deleting the cookies.sqlite, cookies.sqlite-shm and cookies.sqlite-wal files and restoring from a manual backup as per this answer (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1403719)
None of those have fixed the problem. Does anyone have any other ideas of what to do here? I am frustrated and out of ideas.

I don't have the words to describe what's happening here. Please see screenshot. Frequently when using Firefox- since the latest update, it's up-to-date on up-to-date Macbook Sonoma 14.4- this starts happening, when I move around my cursor, the images get all funky, it seems to be pulling in visual information from multiple tabs. Restarting the app clears it out, until the next time it happens. Any thoughts on this?
