When I try to print from one website only (www.si.com), I get a phantom page at the top overlaying part of the web page I want to print. It is there on every printed page of that website only. It does not happen on chrome, nor on any other website with Firefox. See attached example. I am running Windows 7 64 bit professional and FIrefox 84.0.2

Hello dear FireFox, pls help me!

When I enter 100% correct e-mail password into sync window of firefox 84.0.2, firefox says "password is incorrect" :(( If I immediately enter the same password into another window with other FireFoxPortable, or older version, then other FireFox successfully logs into my e-mail account for synchronization ! If i back again to the window №1 with FireFox 84.0.2, the password incorrect again (pls look to screenshot)

Already i tried to use other accounts, including new, specially created, but this does not solve the problem of logging to my gmail@**** account for synchronization :((

Earlier, on older versions of FireFox , this problem did not exist, although I used the same accounts. Thx before! :)

I am continuing to have issues going to this web site. www.goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone. Works great on chrome but firefox fails miserably. The page needs to be downsized and when you click on a link it may open it but it may be behind it but I am never able to get to it. I think possibly the last update something must have messed up. I used to be able to load it but not anymore. I have to use another browser to work with this web site. Other web sites seem to be ok. Thanks for any info.

I use multiple Firefox profiles. Normally, Profile Manager always appears at launch.

But lately, if I launch Firefox while a profile is already open, it just opens a new window in the current profile. The only way I can get Profile Manager is by typing firefox.exe --profilemanager.

For the record, I don't have this option enabled: Use the selected profile without asking at startup.

Firefox (84.0.2 x64) has recently become a memory hog to the point where my system (W7) slows to a point where it is unusable. I do not wish to spend an entire day (or more) troubleshooting in the hope that I can make go away a problem that didn't exist 1 month ago do so how can I roll back to an earlier release (say the one running in december last year) which did not have any of these problems?

I attach two screen prints from a laptop (W7 12GBRam) running one instance of firefox with maybe 20 open tabs Windows Task Mgr which shows Firefox with 9 processes using around 5GB with one process using 2GB Firefox task mgr which shows 25 tabs using a total of around 0.5GB

Clearly the info in the firefox taskmgr is rubbish - or rather not reporting the same thing!

About this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/windows-administrator-launcher-process-error-fix#w_how-to-verify-the-problem

In order to solve the drag and drop issue under win7, article above suggests "Start Firefox Using the -no-deelevate command" but doesn't clarify what would be the risks on doing it.

I mean, the security risk is only mentioned in the next suggestion "partial workaround", saying it would be rather than lower security by using -no-deelevate instead, but also gives no information about what risks would be.

So I would like to know:

1) If I decide to use -no-deelevate option, what sort of risks I'm taking?

2) To a no fool internet user, is it worthy to take?

This is relevant for me cuz re-enable UAC makes user have to confirm dialog box to everything at all in Windows despite logged as full right administrator.

Nor less annoying are the other option "copy and paste" "save as", putting me under ridiculous situation of needy to use Opera browser only to be able of drag IMDB links and images into a folder, then backing to Firefox for everything else.

You can drag an image even to a folder in an USB external drive (OMG-WTF)

Thanks you all.

Hi, I dealt with this problem several time and I decided to write down my solution to save of others time. In case you install firefox on Windows 7 and your htm, html files are showing blank white icon instead of little foxxy one, all you need to do to go for registry as below: - I am using Firefox v.84, ues problem is there since firefox v.2 - - Type regedit and go for "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\FirefoxHTML-308046B0AF4A39CB\DefaultIcon", perhabs you see a differentt number beside FirefoxHTML or even no number - - Double click on Default key and change the value to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe,1", not to mention without "" - Don't forget to backup whole your registry before editing it - Restart and you will probably see the Firefox icon on your saved html files

Good luck

Suddenly, when I try to login in to my bank website, I get that I have entered the wrong password, it sends me to a second login page and I have to re-enter the password to get in. The bank says there is a problem with too many cookies being saved but didn't know how to fix it in Firefox. I never had this problem before either with the bookmark or by typing in the address. This is the only site that I have this problem.

Good afternoon people. I consult them. I have used the uBlock Origin extension for years for the ad blocking issue. I also understand that it blocks trackers. My question is, using this extension, what function does the "Tracking Protection" provided by the browser? Can both work together? Or is it not recommended?

Best regards.
