List of cities with borders around individual city names is wrapping incorrectly. See screenshot and forum thread trying to resolve it.

The wrapping problem does not occur in the other browsers I have tried. I also looked at the page in Explorer and Edge. No problems there. I do not have Chrome installed. Look at these examples:

Narrow your browser window until you see the problem in Firefox.

Whilst debugging an Angular 5 app, I have noticed that when I attempt to step on from a breakpoint with the righthand-side panels collapsed, the debugger refuses to continue processing the code.

Opening the rhs panels and attempting to step on (continue) works as expected.

This appears to be a bug in the debugger.

I am updating some css code on my Wordpress website. When I update the code I see the change on all internet browsers EXCEPT for Firefox. I know all about emptying cache and cookies and history and that is not it. I have opened the website on computers that have never even been to the site and it is still pulling my old css code! Now, I was making some changes last night and Firefix wasn't updating the ocde, but when I looked at it this morning the changes were there. Does the changes take longer to reach FIrefox browsers or something? I am not the MOST savvy web designer, hence the Wordpress website, but I have changed my css code a thousand times and I always see the updates on other browsers. Please let me know if it is a "delay" thing with changes to Firefox or if I need to add some sort of special Firefox code to the css.

Appreciate the help and I apologize if I am just a missing something easy.

Hi, I have a problem with checkboxes and radiobuttons in firefox.

It renders a checkbox in grid-like pattern when the checkbox is styled with width and height attributes. It can be best seen in the provided image together with inspect-element for that checkbox. The relevant site is https://www.w3schools.com/w3css/w3css_input.asp. But it can be done for any checkbox.

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 and I've updated to Firefox v65 but the problem persists. In Chrome it gets rendered correctly.

Please advise on how to fix this behavior.

This is about Style Editor, which uses different code for styling. The colors used in browser toolbox (Ctrl + Shft + Alt + I) *Style Editor* uses Code Mirror selectors. Due to less than perfect sight & the poor visibility / contrast colors of found search terms & several other things in Style Editor, I needed to change things.

I didn't have too much problem finding most of CM's CSS selectors for what I needed. In all the CSS files associated with code mirror in the dark theme, I haven't found how to change the foreground (text) color when selecting lines or sections of code.

In Linux, Style Editor's default selected background is almost the same as the body BG color (looking at the hex colors used, and just visually. This from codemirror.css in omni.ja, changes selected, unfocused background: .CodeMirror-selected {

 background: #D4E7F9 !important;

This changes the selected, focused BG color: .CodeMirror-line::selection, .CodeMirror-line > span::selection, .CodeMirror-line > span > span::selection {

  background-color: #E9ECD8 !important; }

But I've found nothing for foreground "color," to make the selected text legible through the light selected BG color I chose. Just adding "color: #0000FF !important;" - under the background property doesn't work (like many CSS styled UIs - especially text editors).

Is it possible that Code Mirror doesn't have a way to change the text color on selected areas? Most text editors I've tested usually have preference menu settings for things like selected - foreground & BG color. Or they have themes that add extra UI styling ability. The themes on code mirror's site don't seem to use selected foreground color (or just "color"). Maybe it doesn't understand that concept.

If the highlight BG color chosen for CM is fairly light with some transparency, you can read some darker syntax colors, but not all.

Using another text editor with better search, I looked & searched all files I could find that control some of Style Editor's / code mirror's colors.

The only thing I found where I could change selected text color was one rule for searching in Style Editor. It's in codemirror.css ... and it doesn't work that consistently for visibility. /chrome/devtools/content/shared/sourceeditor/codemirror/lib/codemirror.css

The default colors (someone) used for search term matches have little contrast.

LINE 330: .cm-searching {

 background-color: rgba(255, 255, 170, 0.6) !important; /* The 1st BG value listed is for focused search result highlight.*/
 color: #0808E5 !important;
 background-color: rgba(2226, 253, 251, .6) !important; }

NOTE: I added the color property in ".cm-searching" - and it worked. Same trick doesn't work for any selection rules I tried. Codemirror's online manual is fairly spartan https://codemirror.net/doc/manual.html#styling

I have a page using javascript to filter div's depending on a selection criteria. On Safari and Chrome, the filtering works just fine. Bit onFirefox (the latest version) instead of seeing the filtered list I see a new tab, titled About:

The attached images show the sequence, screen1 and then screen2 then screen3. I should see screen1 with a subset of the divs in the scrolling section.

The javascript is:

  function TLSshowhide(tlsclassname) {
/* first, hide all responsive div's */
var y = window.frames['theinterviewsdataframe'];
var z = y.document.getElementById('theinterviewsdata');
var x = z.getElementsByClassName('responsive');
            var i;
            for (i = 0; i < x.length; i++) {
                    x[i].style.display = 'none';
             }
/* then, show the responsive div's with the selected classname */
           x = z.getElementsByClassName(tlsclassname);
           for (i = 0; i < x.length; i++) {
                    x[i].style.display = 'initial';
            }
}
/* When the user clicks on the artist button, show all responsive div's */
function showArtist() {
/* when showing the artists, show all responsive div's */
var y = window.frames['theinterviewsdataframe'];
var z = y.document.getElementById('theinterviewsdata');
var x = z.getElementsByClassName('responsive');
            var i;
            for (i = 0; i < x.length; i++) {
                    x[i].style.display = 'initial';
             }
}
You can see this in action for yourself by going to http://cultconv.com/CultConv20181030/theinterviews.html and clicking the By Artist button

The list of DIV's being displayed is found in http://cultconv.com/CultConv20181030/theinterviewsdata.html

All help appreciated.

However, in Firefox Developer 64.0b7 on Linux, this is not true: the shortcut is Ctrl-F11

I would like the shortcut to be as listed in the documentation, F11.

How do I achieve this please?

I want to build a progressive web app. This app requires the user's GPS coordinates. In order to test this functionality cross-browser, I use w3schooll geolocation implementation. Link: https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_geolocation

Compared to Chrome, Firefox sometimes returns the wrong coordinates. For example yesterday (13/03/2020) the coordinates were wrong all day. Today (14/03/2020) the coordinates are right. The coordinates are crucial for the success of the app. I use Firefox 74.0

Hello, I am involved in developing an application that uses WebRTC for video calling.

Prior to yesterday my FF browser was at version 61.0.2 and the application could make video calls between FF / Chrome and apps running on Android and iOS

Today, I was unable to make calls to/from FF 62.0. Calls made using Chrome to Chrome work fine. Two colleagues were also able to make calls with older FF 61.0.2 and then no longer, after upgrading to FF 62.0

We are using the PeerJS library

What WebRTC related changes have been implemented between 61.0.2 and 62.0?

Thank you

I am debugging an Angular 5 app in Firefox DE, but the page load is very slow when debugging.

I have blackboxed a number of scripts, e.g. common.chunk.js, polyfils.bundle.js and more besides, but still slow.

I notice that the sources panel, after the delay, updates to include "Angular", so I am assuming that the delay is likely there. I have expendanded that folder and it naturally contains a great many files.

Is there a way of blackboxing these too, without individually selecting them? Or are there other tips for speeding up/skipping files when debugging an Angular application?

Thanks, Victor

Hi there, I have this notetaking web application, that relies heavily on the execCommand, because it's practical and behaves as users are used to from other programs for text manipulation. MDN article says it's deprecated (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/document/execCommand) but my question is, how much should i worry about it not being supported in firefox anytime soon? If it would actually got unspported, I'd have to re-code all the functionality with a lot of hacks on my own, so I'd like to know it in advance, if possible. Thanks very much in advance & understand if you cannot tell me the answer

I have a site that pushes a few resources back with the initial page load via HTTP2 server push. This site worked well in Firefox 72, and still works well with Chrome 80. It does not work in Firefox 74. Charles proxy reports that Firefox is resetting the push stream via REFUSED_STREAM (0x7).

Before I take the time to setup a publicly accessible repro: 1. Has anyone else seen this? 2. Are there other debugging tools folks recommend? I'd like to rule out some of the many legitimate reasons (https://jakearchibald.com/2017/h2-push-tougher-than-i-thought/) the stream could have been refused before reporting this as a bug.
