Good afternoon, Yesterday, november 22nd 2023 i was watching TV via my firefox browser at the computer and whenever i saw something i wanted to screengrab i would press print screen and then paste the image into Photoshop for further editing, but all i get now is a big black screen, not the image i had screengrabbed, this used to happen in chrome and that is the reason why i switched to firefox, because this feature still worked in firefox, but today after the update to version 120.0(64-bit) this function now also returns a black screen when pasting into photoshop. Is there a way i can use this feature again? or is this feature gone forever? This was all working okay until this update

There are thousands of answers to this question but I can't find one that works for me. I am using a tablet computer without a mouse or keyboard so mouse click solutions and keyboard short cut solutions don't work.

I want to just tap on a link with my finger and have it open in a new window. Every time. I know I can hold on the link and get a list of options including "open in a new window" but I want to eliminate that step because my fat fingers sometimes select the wrong list item.

I am assisting someone with two issues they are having with Firefox.

They are using the latest version of Firefox (all updates installed).

They are able to replicate the issues below in a new private browser windows.

The two issues remained even after creating a new clean profile.

We tried removing Firefox, renaming all the “Mozillia” settings folders at c:\Users\[username]\AppData\ to “BACKUP- Mozillia” and then reinstalling Firefox. That did not help.

These issues do not appear to be present in Edge or Chrome.

FIRST ISSUE

To check their Office 365 account email, this person uses webmail (https://outlook.office.com/mail/) in Firefox.

The Problem:

1. 1. The person views a message in the preview window of Webmail. They scroll to the bottom of the message body.

1. 2. They then select another message to view in the Webmail preview window. That message opens at the to the bottom of the message body (rather than at the top).

I AM NOT able to replicate this issue on my own computer running the same version of Firefox.

SECOND ISSUE

In a new message in Office 365 Webmail, the person can’t right-mouse button click or CTRL click to paste text into the new message.

They have to use the keyboard shortcuts, as suggested in the image below.

A ”Use shortcut keys” error appears (like that in the attached image)

I AM able to replicate this issue on my own computer running the same version of Firefox.

From the bit of research I did, I take it there is no way for Firefox to work with the Windows clipboard.

Is there really no way to access the Windows clipboard in Firefox?

news videos are green! HAPPENED AFTER LAST FIREFOX UPGRADE! WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER USER TO GO BACK TO VERSION 119.0.1 AND THE GREEN SCREEN GOES AWAY. HOW DO I GET BACK TO VERSION 119.0.1 ? CAN MOZILLA FIX PROBLEM IN LATEST UP DATE? PLEASE ANSWER IN MY EMAIL . THANKS.

I have uninstalled Firefox and ensured that there are no process still running. When I try to reinstall I get the message "Firefox is already running, but it is not responding..... "

There does not seem to be a profile either at "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\"

Firefox is my default browser and I always use it to order at Tesco. Recently I have been getting an error message denying me access to view the email they sent me. The only way I can see it is to use microsoft but prefer Firefox.

Is there a way to enable using both a default pattern as well as a custom image for the background on Firefox Color? I really want to enable both but it is making me choose one or the other. Please help me do this or enable the ability to do so.

Opening browser with google.com as part of my home page 'group' or open a new tab no longer signs me into google. It use to. I have already cleared my cookies and cache (pain having to log back into my usual sites). It worked for a day, but zip now. Getting ready to leave my favorite browser since the SeaMonkey days!!

Facebook requires me to have to update Firefox even though I have the latest version! Could it be because my computer only has Windows 7? Can't find no free upgrade to 10 anymore ... buy without money will not go! I really need help!

On the Facebook desktop, the Firefox push notifications keep switching to off. I cannot see these notifications as a result, as you can see from the image where the information is blank. I have tried everything possible to fix this issue, but it remains. Any help in fixing this issue would be appreciated.

There is an app of my PC to open a digital version of the USA Today paper as well as other newspapers owned by Gannett. This app has always run well on Firefox. But a few weeks ago, when selecting the option to print an article, multiple pop-up screens began displaying. It is normal for the article to display in a pop-up screen just before printing but not multiple times. And every time I print an article the number of pop-ups increase... the first time twice, the second time three times, the seventh time eight times, etc. If I open the app using Chrome this does not happen.

My wife was on Firefox, I was on EDGE for email(Outlook) and google access, I tired of the issues with EDGE and moved my account to Firefox, it REMOVED her email access displacing with mine, how do I get her email access Back?

I refreshed Firefox, now my logins are all gone and when I input them to sites, click on Save, nothing will save. Also my Facebook page is not missing half the stuff on the page.

again after upgrade this time version 119.0.1 to version 120.0 the behaviour changed to store downloads. This time I directly modified the settings of applications, their type and which action I expect. Again problems and files are stored elsewhere. Once again modifications and it seems to be fixed.

It seems that this part of Firefox is modified too but I'm not sure. One download is still running and the file and the temporary part exists but not in the specified base directory. The other ones are working as result of my second approach.

Any other experience concerning download and where to store?

Part of the reason (a small part, but part nonetheless) that I began to use Firefox was the ability to screenshare and screenshot disney+, netflix, and etc -- but after updating to 120.0, my screenshots are being blocked (as though I were on Chrome or Edge).

I am not doing piracy! I make edits and stuff. It'd be super helpful to know how to fix this, or if there even is a way.

I tried to activate my firefox account on my new laptop. I also tried to add this new computer to firefox sync. The system shows me, that I am logged in with both my old and new computer After entering the password I am told that firefox account will sent me an e-mail to verify the account. I am told that I will receive a code at my e-mail address. The stored e-mail address is correct. I am told that the e-mail has been sent to my e-mail address. I have tried to receive an e-mail from my old computer as well. Whatever I do even after I added accounts@firefox.com into my contacts. I still don´t receive any e-mails with verification codes or links to verify my e-mail address. I really don´t know what else to try. I did not find any support adresses for firefox in europe. Please can anybody help.

while I using bing I will receive a Microsoft Points. But after updating Firefox to 120.0, I didn't get any. Somebody know how? I'm sharing you all of my extensions, and others. If someone know how I can again get points please help me.

I am running Mozilla Firefox on two laptops each of which is running Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS. In both cases Firefox is installed by the Debian/Ubuntu 'snap' program.

On the first of these two machines -- the only less frequently used or updated -- "About Mozilla Firefox" shows that I am running:

Firefox Browser 118.0.2 (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox Snap for Ubuntu canonical-002-1.0

On this machine I see this on the command-line:

Calling: '$ ls -ltr /snap/slack' shows that the current 'snap' is 113, created Nov 1. The date on the symlink between '/snap/slack/current/ and '113' is Nov 9, suggesting that I was prompted to run 'snap' and upgrade Firefox on Nov 9.

On this first machine, Firefox is performing as intended.

On the second machine, however, a more recent version of Firefox is blurring photos on at least one important website. (As far as I can tell, all other rendering of web pages is satisfactory.) The information on the second machine is:

Firefox Browser 120.0 (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox Snap for Ubuntu canonical-002-1.0

From this machine's command-line:

$ ls -ltr /snap/firefox total 0 drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 201 Nov 6 18:34 3358 drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 201 Nov 16 17:34 3416 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Nov 23 21:37 current -> 3416

This suggests that Ubuntu build build 3416 on Nov 16 and that I was prompted to install it on Nov 23. That's 2 days before I am writing this bug report, and that duration is roughly the duration in which I have observed this blurring problem.

However, if I right-click on any URL or photo on the home page to take me to the page for a specific article, I get a blurred photo. Example:

This blurriness does *not* happen with the older version of Firefox on my first machine. My inference is that there was some change between 118.0.2 and 120.0 that is failing to correctly process data coming from this website. Suggestions?
