I have a series of bookmark that are usable/contactable internally from my work WAN network. These bookmarks are unreachable when using my PC from my home network. No problem with that, it's the correct FF behavior.

However, recently selecting one of the unreachable bookmarks results in a re-direct to a third party (malicious) webpage.

How do I change the re-direct address on an unreachable URL? Or default it back to "normal behavior"?

I was searching for some music online, and I came across a website. It redirected me to a duplicate page, that is designed exactly like Firefox Addons. Now that site automatically loads whenever I open my Firefox browser and keeps installing an addon without any permissions, even if the "Get addon" button isn't clicked. Words just "appear", the messages get sent before I even press "send". Often the document is still in edit mode! When I do "send", I find that multiple duplicates were sent! What happened & what can I do about it?? Page frames flicker then realign. I don't trust fb anymore & What should I do? Both fb & google!! Google has most of my passwords! I've been watching it all degrade. Is the "Droid" Malware is suspected of anything.

Hi While doing online banking (with Firefox, which I have on very high security settings), my computer began to partially freeze. I signed-out and then my computer was frozen and I powered-off the computer for safety. I started it again, and found that someone had replaced my Firefox with another version that had all of my settings removed. This was not an UPDATE by Firefox and I proved this. I checked my FIREWALL and some by the name of Igor Pavlov somehow was able to pass by my Kaspersky firewall; and, when I expanded his name, the evidence that he had indeed altered my Firefox (and perhaps more than once) was before my eyes! Shocking that he was able to alter my Firefox. Please see attachment.

Despite "denying" him in my firewall, I seem to continue to have problems with Firefox (freezing at times), even though I uninstalled the version that he put on, and reinstalled Firefox (which kept all of my old settings, as it always does with I reinstall or when updates are done). I am afraid to use Firefox right now, unfortunately.

At this point I want to entirely clean Firefox from my computer so that a reinstall does not recognize my past settings or anything else. Then reinstall fresh to see if that helps.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks very much,

TJ

I have tried everything that I can find to get rid of that damn searchitnow, which replaced my preferred Google Search. I've looked for downloads, extensions, everything. I've checked to make sure Google is my preferred search engine, and on and on. There is nothing. I have run Malwarebytes several times and it comes up clean.

How do I get this off my Mac? I am running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.

Hi Guys, Firefox crashes now and then, and when it does, it changes my default search engine.

When this happens, "Browser Default" is added to 'search Shortcuts' and selected.

To revert back to Google, it has to be selected, and removed.

I have come to the conclusion, that this is a deliberate action, caused by some form of Malware or similar, as it is the only thing that appears to change, and always happens when Firefox crashes.

On the other rare occasions that Firefox crashes, it returns asking to return to previous sessions, and does so without issue - these crashes are extremely infrequent, however, the previous example is like clockwork.

Hoping you can help.

Cheers, Brad
