After recent update bookmarks disappeared. When I restore them and then close firefox developer edition the bookmarks toolbar is gone again. It seems like a bug in that recent update. Please advise.

I have the last Firefox version and am trying to add extensions (e.g. video download helper). When I click on Add to Firefox, it works at loading the extension, but without any success. The blue dot in the gray square dances and dances and dances.... Thanks !!

I have downloaded and deleted Firefox a dozen times and history and cache and still it is not allowing me to have the Chose User Profile to pop up

I have been trying for the last 2 days to get the Firefox -Choose User Profile to come up and each time I add the below in the terminal

/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin -P

I get

Alans-MacBook-Pro:~ alanbmillard$ /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin -P -bash: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/Firefox-bin: No such file or directory Alans-MacBook-Pro:~ alanbmillard$

So it states no such file or directory when Firefox is definately in the Applications folder

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you in advance

Recently switched to Firefox, and while it's great, I have a HUGE problem with the tiny bookmark window. I went through the process outlined in this old thread, but nothing changed: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1242670#search

I have just installed Firefox on a new iMac, running MacOS 15.2. Firefox will not load any of the websites I have tried, whereas Safari and Chrome do. I have cleared the History and also set "No proxy" but loading still fails.

Hi, By accident I changed a setting somewhare and now I can't share screen when using Google meets. I use a MacBook Air M2 2022 and run version Ventura 13.4 and Firefox version 113.0.2. I have googled the problem and had help from Apple support so I have already; - checked settings in my Mac - checked settings in Google Meet - deleted cash memory in Firefox - rebooting my computor - run Google Meet in Safari and screen sharing works

I don't dare to reinstall Firefox because then I will lose lots of data. What have I not done that this community could help me understand.

I have been unable to use Firefox for Gmail for several years now. I use Chrome instead, because whenever I try it on Firefox, I get the following message: Do you really want to use HTML Gmail? You're about to use a version of Gmail designed for slower connections and legacy browsers. To get all of Gmail's features, including inbox categories, images and quick actions, please use the latest version of Gmail (recommended). When I click on the box marked Take me to the latest version, absolutely nothing happens. If I click on the box for the HTML version, Gmail appears, but devoid of anything resembling Gmail as we know it now. Much as I want to use Firefox for everything, I can't, because this is a serious limitation. Am I alone with this problem? It has happened on two different laptops (Macbooks).

I've set my new tabs to open a blank page, and I have the current version.

On my phone, both passwords from Firefox and iCloud auto fill into my browser, but on Mac I do not see anything besides the Firefox ones. I keep my most up-to-date passwords in iCloud, but would love to use auto fill in Firefox as I am not a fan of Safari. Is there a way to set this up?

I’ve been using Firefox on my Mac without any issues, but I recently had to erase and reset my Mac. After reinstalling Firefox and attempting to sign in to my account, I am unable to sync my data.

When I click “Sign in” and enter my password, I successfully log in. However, it immediately returns to the message “Please sign in to reconnect,” and I am unable to proceed with syncing.

This is the first time I’ve encountered this issue.

On a positive note, I can still see my organized bookmarks on Firefox for iPhone, which were synced from my Mac before the reset.

The website WSJ has large areas on front page, including the opinion listing, are simply white and not 'there' on the page to click on. I've deleted their cookies without effect, tried turning off all adblockers, shut mac down to reboot, nothing seems to have an effect. This is a recent glitch of only several days, prior performance was great. Thanks!

Hi all, I'm having an issue that I've seen mentioned over several years and without a workable solution - I'm at the point of having to transfer all my browser usage to chrome and abandon my beloved firefox. The issue has been 'answered' by advanced users to tell people to 'inspect' which font is the issue then check local systems font book for corrupted/duplicate fonts: however this is not a satisfactory response. Context: see screen shot attached for what the jibberish looks like, and a point in the 'inspect' view that I believe (guessing) is involved. System: Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit), MacOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) on Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2020, 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5). This same websites do not have any issue on the same computer viewed on Chrome or Safari. Nor is there any problem on my iPhone on the iOS firefox browser.

Firstly this is not a user-friendly solution for most people, I'm afraid. Opening the inspect viewer is mindboggling for anyone who doesn't code and even for people who do some programming but not for websites (like me), it isn't exactly self-explanatory. I think I've managing to find examples that indicate 'Roboto' seems to be consistently involved in the display issue. Secondly, the step for 'fixing' the font that is the culprit - my local system indicates that all fonts are valid and there are no duplicates. I haven't installed manually Roboto as I'm uncertain where to 'safely' get the font from and my computer is owned and managed by my workplace - with overly strict administration/security rules so if I f-up a download of something dodgy my IT service will blacklist me and revoke my admin access... ** which would mean I'd be unable to do my job!**. I wondered if perhaps there is some security setting due to that, which stops website from loading the fonts they choose? From previous 'solutions' it said that having Firefox preference set to "allow websites to choose their own fonts..." should mean the websites can load as needed. If indeed I must manually download fonts for each and every instance that Firefox fails to display text legibly that is equivalent to Firefox being unusable. I'm clearly frustrated and it's because I love FIrefox and the ethos behind it all so leaving for Chrome would be very sad indeed! Help and a solution for normal users would be so very much appreciated. Also where can I properly lodge this issue with peeps who fix things? There are issues of this kind going back years and for both Windows and Mac Systems so it's not a one-off problem but a recurring one! I contacted Apple and they couldn't fix Firefox not working on my MacBook Pro (error: page can’t be displayed, server error). This started after I upgraded to iOS Sequoia 15.0. I disabled my VPN and also reinstalled the Firefox app and it is still not working. Apple says Mozilla may need to release a new update. Please advise what you or I can do to fix the issue. Note: I can access the Firefox page using Safari and Edge so it’s not an internet connection issue.

All of a sudden I am not able to download files on my MacbookPro in Firefox. I am using Version 126 on Mac OS 12.7.5 Monterey.

Downloads are working if I use Safari, but I do not use it. I just used it for testing purposes. Is anybody else having this problem? I've already "refreshed" Firefox per their suggestion.

There are reports of conflicts between Firefox performance and Sequoia, how to resolve it? I would like to update from my current MacOS and I‘m not willing to give up Firefox as my primary browser. Could I get advice when it‘s save to update? Best regards RB

In some pages, redaer view shows the wrong text -- it looks like it picks up text from a hyperlink. An example is this page:

where Reader View shows the text from:

    https://www.britannica.com/art/clarinet

(which is linked inside).

I am using Firefox 134.0 on MacOS (Sequoia 15.2)
