Mozilla's web site says this: Firefox 48.0 System Requirements for Mac Operating Systems • Mac OS X 10.9 • Mac OS X 10.10 • Mac OS X 10.11

But also says this:

The Firefox version 48 release in August 2016 will be the last Firefox version to receive new feature or security updates on OS X systems that are no longer supported by Apple: OS X 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8. Starting with the Firefox version 49 release in September 2016, Firefox is no longer supported on OS X systems below 10.9.

So is Firefox 48 supposed to work on my OS X 10.7 or not? (I ask this because of a web site that works with Safari but not with Firefox 48.) Should I regress to version 47? Should I regress to ESR 45? If so, what happened to 46 and 47?

I get a "Your connection is not secure" error when trying to log in to my modem's login page at the local address. I have a Cisco DPQ3925 and using Firefox 47.0, Mac OS 10.7.5

Here is the rest of the error text:

"The owner of 192.168.0.1 has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website."

I've just replaced the modem (same brand and model) because I was getting the same error.

I used to have two menu items in every bookmark folder for bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar. The one on top was "Bookmark this page" and the one on the bottom was/is "Open all in tabs" (or close enough). The top one is gone.... If that didn't make sense, the example below should help clear it up.

For example, let's say I have a bookmark drop-down on the bookmark toolbar called "My Team". In that bookmark, I have folders for each team member by name. Under each team member, I have several folders, on of which could be "Stats and Reviews". So I'm reading articles about whatever this team is part of, and I see a review of Fred.... So I open the My Team bookmark, go to Fred, open the "Stats and Reviews" sub-folder, and bookmark that web page with the review directly from there using the menu item. Quick and simple (as long as you don't have too many levels of sub-folders!). The attached image shows what I'm referring to.

Except for one thing: the option to do this is missing. How do I get it back? Is it now in an add-on, or a theme item, or...?

I'm using Firefox 45.0.1 on a Mac Mini running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.5).

Since I updated to 43.0.4 I cannot disable the search from the location / address bar. I've checked and unchecked the "Show search suggestions in location bar results" button several times, closed preferences, closed Firefox... I don't want to search from the address bar, as it makes navigating with the keyboard rather awkward.

I just upgraded to the most recent version of Firefox and am now unable to zoom in and out at all. Has this feature been disabled? How do I get it back? I'm using a Mac desktop, running OS X 10.7.5 (Lion, I believe). The Firefox version is 47.0. The zoom buttons still show up but do nothing when I click on them. I've also tried the key commands. Has anyone run into this yet? Any known fixes?

iMac OS-X 10.7.5. Firefox 46.0.1. A couple of weeks ago I started getting the spinning pinwheel when trying to load my home page, NASA-TV. Chrome & Safari load it. Something that may or may not be related; eBay pages load quickly when the computer is first turned on but slower the longer the computer has been running. I've followed the links from Mozilla Support and done a couple of things like update plugins and delete cookies, but obviously they didn't work.

Windows Vista. No, I can't change my OS. I didn't used to have this problem. Firefox downloaded a "security update" <-- it was not a spyware, virus, bug, glitch, flaw or related to any other program or operating system. I'm a systems analyst, I know it was Firefox's own security update. Here was the result:

Everything on the internet now had two problems: 1) Every site is now an "Attack Site" including google.com (not results, the main page) same for ebay.com, amazon.com, etc. 2) Everything now had an infinite number of "incorrect certificates"

I would like to disable delete and destroy these "security" features. I never use the machine to do anything that would ever pose a security threat. I would like to have zero security. I say this because I think it's highly unlikely that there is an actual "fix." I don't need "security" for anything. I would just like to sometimes upload files to the internet.

Right now, my machine has no internet. The "feature" that firefox downloaded blocks all sites on the internet on all browsers. And no, it doesn't block the internet. I can still ping servers. The internet is working fine. It's just "attack site" and "certificate" warnings make the internet inaccessible from any browser due to an update I'm 100% certain came from the Mozilla Firefox update I just received, because I'm never had a problem before on this machine, it happened instantly after the update.

Why suddenly are my FF bookmarks NOT working??? I totally rely upon all bookmarks, old & new to go to a particular site. Thank you!!I I have posed my question.

I want to forward an article to an email address - on Safari there is an icon that allows me to email the web page I/m looking at I don't see that anywhere on Firefox -

I have no idea what happened. I opened up Firefox to discover absolutely all my bookmarks including those from the toolbar are gone!! This is very upsetting to say the least. As far as I know nothing has been updated but even still I have never had this problem before after updating anyway I have years and years worth of bookmarks saved and really don't want to start all over again. Please, help. Tell me there is some way to restore them.

Running Firefox 44.0.2 on MacMini - OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) only extension running Pinterest PinIt button

Restarted Mac today and realized the Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar as displayed horizontally across the top, had resorted in some odd order.. appears to be alphabetical, from Library view. No amount of resorting "by Added" will stick.

I understand that Library view sorting is only temporary as viewed in Library pane, but >>>how did I lose my preferred order of "by Added" to start with??? <<<

Reading up, I backed up bookmarks as .html and .JSON and also copied and stored a version of the then-current places.sqlite- - shut down, removed places.sqlite from Library>Application Support>Firefox and restarted.

Same problem. Bookmarks Toolbar displays in alpha sort order. Read kz mozillazine corrupt localstore.rdf, learned that localstore.rdf has been replaced by xulstore.JSON since FF 34. Again closed FF, copied, removed and stored a copy of xulstore.JSON from Library>Application Support>Firefox and restarted. Same alpha display convention in Bookmarks Toolbar...

I should point out that though I have culled these and continue to file them, they number in the 2k range, so dragging to reorder is no option. Ok Laugh. I know. The only other thing I can add is that upon restarting FF after the 2nd Library change (removal of xulstor.JSON) i got an empty startup screen and a chrome warning- Unresponsive Script: Script: chrome://global/content/bindings/text.xml:70

big problem STILL with yahoo toolbar, ironically, solved it on my windows based computer, but i see now with ff44 it is not woring and no matter how many times i go to mozilla firefox addons and try to install, it pops up with verifying and then never can I get to hit the install button next to it as it just keeps on verifying ...on and on, and i am very frustrated, I need to make my yahoo toolbar work as i have many quick icons to do things, and i use it in my windows based but also need it in my macbook too. please tell me something new, already tried the about config turn from true to false ( as listed in other mozilla forums for fixing/in past, the yahoo toolbar) I will hope to hear from someone soon.

I have a Mac, and with firefox, I cannot get the yahoo toolbar to show up, it does show up on the mac in chrome, but not in my firefox, and I have looked in all forums, and my previous posts, were about my windows based computer, but that solution ( i found) did not or does not apply to the macbook pro ( old 2008) which does have yahoo toolbar in chrome, but its not here in firefox, and I have tried prior fixes as listed, but I get past the verifying when I change the about:config xpinstall to true, but then it sticks at claiming couldnot download due to connection failure, so this is something in the firefox settings, since I can see/use it in chrome on same old macbook. sometimes I need to use chrome browser other times, firefox, so i want it to work. i have the updated latest versions so it should not still be a problem but apparently is, in many forum questions, so firefox is aware but is just not dealing with it.

For example: Graphics don't display on this page (http://www.marylandsquare.com/womens-boots/) in Secure window but do in regular non-secure window. I have the same issue with other sites such as osh.com as well.

For added security, I surf the web utilizing a Non-Admin Level Mac User Account. Though I update all software, including Firefox, utilizing an Admin-level Mac User account, again, for added security, I surf using a Non-Admin-level user account. Recently, while surfing with my non-admin account, I've been receiving prompts from Firefox to update the current version. When I click on the "About Firefox" menu, the display shows my current version 44.0.1 (Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5), shows that "updates are available" and provides a link. Clicking the link redirects to a Mozilla web page informing me that my current version of Firefox is up-to-date. Clicking the "About Firefox" menu utilizing an Admin Level Account, however, the window shows my version as being current. Why, when using my non-admin-level account, does Firefox believe my version is not up-to-date -- sending prompts to update whenever I use it, when in fact, the version is up-to-date.

I have searched an item at an on-line retailer. Price shows on sale. I go to the store, no sale. Person at store suggests I have to clear cache to somehow prevent my browser from reloading an "old" page, which apparently happens a lot on smartphones, etc. to save on data usage.

How do I get most recent "version" of their page with that item on it or are they to blame??

Somehow I lost the tabs for my e-mail - "Primary" "Promotions" "Social" "Updates" and now everything is included on the same page without separation. What do I do to get it back to the way it was?
