Been too many times when I’ve meant to close a bunch of tabs but don’t wanna to close the session restore tab (it’s my only way of accessing the old session tabs) and I accidentally close that session tab as well, thus losing all those old tabs. Is there anyway you guys can make it harder (Maybe with a “are you sure” prompt) before allowing to close that tab?

Also, when I go into history and click “open in new tab” on a link (lets say I’ve scrolled all the way down to find it), one the link opens, the link gets sent to the top of the list in history, thus making me lose the context of where I found the link in history. This is terrible UI, I should be left off where I clicked on the link (with it’s surrounding context (i.e. date, etc)

Hey all - been trying to troubleshoot an issue with Firefox (multiple of the latest versions, but 77 currently) on Mac OSX Catalina, appreciate any help!

Issue: Certain websites intermittently display strange behavior, such as not loading interactive content (videos/gifs on reddit, for example, displaying as static images) and some sites not loading images at all (Twitter shows empty boxes where images would be) and a few other similar issues.

Steps I've tried: - Using a private window solves almost all the issues. But disabling all extensions and plugins in a normal window doesn't solve it. (I believe I understand private windows to use the RAM for caching but use the HDD under normal circumstances?) - Enabling/disabling VPN makes no difference, nor does what network I'm on, and other devices on this network have no similar issues - Other browsers on the same computer have no issues - Malware, anti-virus, etc all are active and scan has been run a few times. - Apple's hardware diagnostic turns up no issues, and this has happened now in FF over multiple of the latest versions (not sure when exactly it started) on two different Macbooks, though the new one is from an image of the old one (maybe that's something?) - Uninstalling/reinstalling FF does not make a difference

Where I'm at: The only thing that sort of worked (But it's now stopped working on certain sites, but continues to work for others) is moving FF's profile folder, uninstalling, and reinstalling. I was lead to believe FF would then create a new folder when this happened, but it just kicked up an error for me and wouldn't start. When I moved the old profile folder back and started up the freshly installed version with the old profile folder, the problems were all solved. Though as mentioned, they are starting to happen again on some of the sites. No errors or changes have been made that I can identify, plenty of space available on the HDD, etc.

I've become a big fan of FF over the years (over Chrome), and want to stay in a privacy-focused browser, but I haven't been able to find much that seems to help this specific situation online. Any help is appreciated!

Hi there,

Firefox has started crashing anytime I try to playback media with my Focusrite interface selected for playback. This issue has been ongoing for a few months. Any page like youtube, with video or media embedded causes a crash.

For reference, I'm using a Focusrite Red8pre on a Macbook Pro. The error does not occur when using the laptops speakers for playback.

Any help here would be appreciated.

I installed Duck Duck Go for Search Engine. And, I've repeatedly deleted Default Browser (which was Google NOT Yahoo). How I find where Yahoo is to COMPLETELY DELETE IT?

Hi, When I turned on my computer this morning, my bookmarks were not there. I've tried the steps laid out by Firefox, but no success. I tried another browser, Safari, which I seldom use, and Safari bookmarks were still there. I have many different bookmarks in Firefox so I'd rather not switch over to Safari unless absolutely necessary. Nothing else is missing, so I doubt if I've been hacked. I did check a bank account, which was fine. I'm not a high profile person, so I doubt if I've been targeted. And I see the pic of the lock closed in the URL bar constantly. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I'm on Mac OS 10.15.5 (Catalina) Firefox 78.0.1 (64bit) Thanks, JJ

[Firefox won't accept my master password] From Firefox Help I was told I could try another profile if I had one. Beside the Default Profile I have one in Root Directory and one in Local Directory. Instructions say to use one by clicking LAUNCH PROFILE IN NEW BROWSER. That command does not appear anywhere. ???? IF I could find that command, where could I find the command SET AS DEFAULT PROFILE?

Hi, whenevr i try to open a website specificaly www.fitnessntraining.com its open with half of its contant. if i try on chrome it does show properly but on Mozila some time its open after long time or some times its open but half of its contant. Also some time a message appears on top in a small bar (stop it) and also with option (wait).

I can't access my Schwab.com website. I can access the website with Chrome and Safari.

Other sites continue to work fine with Firefox.

I am using Firefox 78.0.1 64bit version, and suddenly I can not launch Microsoft Teams app by specifying its Meeting URL directly, like "https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_NzVjYTUxYjQtODE1Mi00.......%22%7d". I can launch it yesterday but this morning I can not. I would like to know how I can solve this problem.

Hi, my firefox started to crash regularly for a few months. I have seen it crash while on idle, while changing tabs, while opening ne tabs... i.e. no repetable pattern. Morever, I couldn't figure out the reason since all the crash reports turned different reasons for each crush. It has now become hourly crashes which really started to affect my workflow. Could you please help?

I have set various custom shortcuts for all apps on my mac in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts. These are:

• Ctrl + Opt + Left Arrow - Move Window to Left Side of Screen
• Ctrl + Opt + Right Arrow - Move Window to Right Side of Screen
• Ctrl + Opt + Up Arrow - Zoom
• Ctrl + Opt + Down - Move to Built-in Retina Display

These shortcuts work for all other applications on my mac (Catalina 10.15.4), but not with Firefox (version 76.0.1). On the Maximise window where these options reside via mouse, the shortcuts do show up, and pressing the options with a mouse does work, but the shortcuts do not.

Everytime I startup Firefox, my selected search engine is 'replaced' by something called Toticheck. I have tried and tried to stop this but without success. I've tried all the suggestions I've found on Youtube but nothing works. Can anyone help?
