Have Win 7 Pro, using FF 78.0.2. Searches and page displays are normal until I changed Visited Links color. After doing so, search results and other pages show each item in separate boxes. I can't get rid of the boxes unless I do a Refresh of FF. Then I get normal page displays., but I lose change to visited link color (as expected). I tried using Visitedlinkenabler – by Ulf3000 but got the same results. Any ideas on how to change visited link color without getting the boxes? I tried the add-on

I have used Firefox for several years and have been very happy with it. However, in the last few/several weeks, I am finding that when I click on a link to go to another screen, it either takes forever or does not work at all.

What steps should I take to help with this problem? I am using Firefox 78.0.2 (64Bit).

I'm running Firefox 78.0.2 on a desktop system with Linux Mint 19.3 OS. I'm using Blackboard (online training hosting service) and, at one point, I clicked on a link "Share screen". The window in the attached image popped up. However, I decided I didn't want to actually share my screen. I found absolutely NO way to get rid of this pop-up UNLESS I actually selected "Allow" or "Don't Allow". I tried clicking somewhere else on the screen, clicking outside of Firefox to take the focus off of it, opening another program altogether, clicking on the various icons next to the address bar. Nothing worked. The only work-around I found was to select "Don't Allow", then manually click on the new icon, and "X" next to "Block screen sharing". Is this a bug? Or can I put in a feature request to put a "X" (close window) on this so that I can make it go away without having to jump through those hoops? Thanks.

Firefox has been experiencing repeated issues that cause it to fail to load certain websites or portions of sites, often related to video playback. YouTube videos would attempt to load, never start playing, and eventually all of Firefox will crash. The same is now happening with other websites such as Amazon that seem to crash the browser just trying to bring them up. Not all of the sites are specifically video sites like YouTube but they often have embedded players. YouTube will load fine until you actually try to click on a video, browsing the homepage doesn't cause this issue.

Restarting Firefox in safe mode did not alleviate the issue, and Firefox is up to date.

My Firefox Browser has just updated itself automatically to 78.0.2 (I use it with MacOs 10.14.16). Since then, I have been unable to access Wikipedia. Whether I enter an url or I try a search through the search bar with the Wikipedia module the result is the same: nothing happens at all. If the url bar is empty it remains empty, if there was another url before it comes back instead of the wikipedia url I typed. The same thing is occurring on both my MacBook Air and my iMac which run under a previous version of MacOs.

I got an automatic update from Opera that I did not ask for, so all of my logins were lost. After recovering them and signing in, when I closed Opera, all of my freaking logins were gone again. There is no way to stop this from happening, because Opera likes to make it difficult to stop auto-updates and to stop passwords/usernames from being wiped out when closing Opera. OK, fine. I'll go back to Firefox, then.

So when trying to login to my Yahoo mail account on Firefox there is a challenge page that sends a verification code to my Android phone. I clicked yes, but there is no place to put the verification from the challenge page. When I go back to the Yahoo mail login page, it goes back to the challenge page again, sending a verification to my Android again. This does not happen in Opera, but there is still the issue of being kicked out of all of my social media, email accounts every freaking time.

I have WORK to do and am not interested in being a coder. I am a writer. So how can I stop this from happening? I would like to go on with my freaking life!

Below is a screen-cap of the challenge screen. Do you see any way to get past it? NO! the only thing that is possible is to get to the goddamn Help screen. I don't want any Help. I want to log into my Yahoo mail. Again, this is not happening in Opera, but Opera keeps kicking me out of my logins.

Hey, my website "www.kosmetikstuebchen-nicole.de" is not correctly displaying in Firefox Browser. In Google Chrome, Opera and Safari there is no problem. You can see the problem on the screenshot. I still ask my provider "Host Europe" if they are able to explain, why during using the Firefox Browser the website is not correct. They just told me, that maybe there might be a problem with the accessability view, but they were not able to solve the problem! Is there anybody who can help me to solve that problem? Thanks a lot! Whenever I attempt to download anything from my Google drive I get this error in the attached image. Never had this issue before. Attempting to allow all cookies and manage exceptions doesn't work and also clearing caches and other cookies fails as well. The only way that works is by getting a shareable link and pasting it into an incognito tab and dragging the image onto the desktop. This doesn't work with other file types, only images.

Hi,

As the title suggests, Firefox is saving the wrong password for a login. Here's what I have done so far to fix the problem: 1. I just deleted all saved logins 2. Restarted Firefox 3. Re-entered the correct username and password

I keep getting "test" as the password instead of what should be the actual password as can be seen in the image. Note, I used a program to whiteout the username.

I don't why but today some sites are not available to access, it is not internet problem. I tested using other browsers: Opera and Chrome, it works perfectly fine on those browsers. The site examples are: Gmail, google login (it is hard for me to do login, often failed), Google.com (I can't get the redirection working). I tried to clear all cookies and caches, refresh, and disable all plugins but the issue still persists.

I'm using Firefox 78.0.2 and i keep getting notices to upgrade. But the last time I upgraded, Firefox changed the locations of my tabs from below the address bar to above the address bar and also changed the behavior of the address bar. It took me a couple of weeks to find the answers and get things back the way they were. I don't want to upgrade Firefox because I have no idea what it might change this time. Is there a way to keep Firefox from sending me upgrade notices when I don't want them?

Hi, so recently, with firefox on windows 10 I haven't been able to use the address bar to access the list of sites which should be there that I visit every day.

Usually I just click in an empty address bar, and instantly the list of sites would just pop down from there, with highest frequency of visited sites at the top, down to other, less frequently visited addresses.

I'm not talking about top sites, like I can access in a blank tab if I activate that option. That was always where I pinned sites that were important for me to visit, but weren't as high frequency as email or facebook, which I would have at the top of the list of addresses in the address bar.

I can't seem to find the answer, but how do I get that to work again? Currently I can access top sites, which is really not what I want, as that is usually on a new blank tab if I choose to have that option chosen for there. Or I have access to history though only if I start typing in the address bar, which again, is not what I want.

Click and pop, and the list appears is all I want please.

Hi! I'm using Firefox 78.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro 1909. In the process of telling Firefox to open PDF files with PDF X-Change Viewer, I noticed that one of the filetypes in the list is "Vectric". I don't know how to have Firefox tell me the extensions included in this filetype, but I assume they would be .crv, .crv3d, .3dclip, and others associated with Aspire, my Vectric software app. Files like this I would only ever want to save, but on trying to say so I discovered that "Save File" isn't one of the options in the dropdown menu. So my questions are: 1. Why is "Save File" not given as an option for the Vectric filetype? 2. How can I get "Save File" to apply to the Vectric filetype? 3. Why on earth is such an obscure filetype as "Vectric" specifically listed here, anyway?

I made a new profile and was able to re-create the same bug in safe mode just to be sure. Anytime I try to open a swf file, firefox will not open it but instead ask what I should do with the file, over and over again. I have properly installed flash in the $MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH directory that firefox looks for; if I go to the plugins section, it shows adobe flash. I also have the ability to play flash files on websites, just not locally. On the profile I'm using to reproduce the error, the http_https_only tag in about:config is set to 'false', so [[this|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1172126]] is irrelevant. I made sure that firefox is indeed what is set to open these types of files via the xdg specifications that firefox searches for when looking what to open a file with via xdg-mime (firefox uses xdg-open on the linux version to see what to open with): xdg-mime default firefox.desktop application/x-shockwave-flash In $HOME/.config/mimeapps.list, it is properly listed in the line applications/x-shockwave-flash=firefox.desktop Firefox does have a .desktop file setup in /usr/share/applications, and xdg-mime does recognize firefox as the app to open swf files. I am able to open other types of files locally such as videos. Going to about:preferences and setting firefox to open swf files makes an infinite loop of firefox opening new tabs that must be then terminated. I'm not sure if an update broke firefox, as I was previously able to open local swf files. Thanks.
