Since a release of Firefox this year that caused a problem with Add-ons working, I have not been able to get Add-ons to work properly with the most recent versions of Firefox. There ar two problem areas. 1. Can't download Plug-ins. 2. When right clicking on plugin on the tool bar, the dropdown settings window does not stay open.
My solution has been to use version 63.0.3 and run the "Add-on fix for Firefox versions 61-65." This works fine, but I'm not able to load newer versions and get them to work.
I have, multiple times:
1. Uninstalled all Firefox versions x64 and x32 bit, uninstalled "Mozilla Maintenance Service" and deleted all "Mozilla Firefox" named folders. 2. Deleted all [username]Appdata/ Local, Local low, and Roaming "Mozilla" folders as well as the "ProgramData/Mozilla folder. 3. Cleaned out the "Windows/Prefetch folder. 4. Added a new user to see if that account was affected as well. It was!
None of this has worked, and I have wondered if some certificate is hanging around that should be removed?
Thanks, Jim
