Prior to Firefox 60, individual cookies could be removed without also removing the other site data at about:preferences#privacy. However, individual cookies could still be removed at chrome://browser/content/preferences/cookies.xul. Now in Firefox 61 beta, that chrome URL has been removed (even though it's still listed at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Chrome_URLs).

Mozilla must restore users' ability to remove individual cookies only. For an organization who tout themselves as being privacy and security conscious, it makes absolutely no sense to take away users' ability to manage individual cookies without having to install a separate extension.

During site testing and development, after a while, Firefox Inspector and Browser no longer updates css settings saved in my editor! Then when I switch browser, the fresh browser displays the page with the new settings. Why Is it so? And is there something I can do to ensure, the browser does not stop updating my pages with changed settings in my CSS?

Hi there, I am totally frustrated with FF. It used to work very beautifully in the last few years until recently I found that one update screwed my browsing experience. Right now , whether in safe mode or not, private browsing even with hardware acceleration disabled , it won't load pages . For example when I luckily arrived to open a page containing links , when I try to open those links on a new tab, the tab won't load the page at all, I have to keep opening tabs till at least one successfully opens , sometimes I have to try twice or three times to get it open on a new tab, I tried the same with a new window, same problem. I saw that there are others who had the same issue and probably still have this issue till now. I dare to say this is a bug that need to be fixed. I had disabled all add-ons ,no luck, even uninstalled FF and removed firefox profiles, no luck. However FF is working fine on my other PC, both are windows 7. I don't want to go back to Internet explorer, Chrome is fine but I liked FF.Please share your solution if you had this issue resolved. FF developers, please provide some fix. By the way, I tried the beta FF version 61 ,I have the same issue as well.

Why do you guys have two features for essentially the same purpose (saving URLs for visiting later), that don't talk to each other?

As far as I can tell, the only purpose of bookmarks is for typing the start of it into the awesome bar... and maybe edge cases like loading in the sidebar.

Aside from that, are there particular scenarios in which I should use Pocket, and others in which I should use bookmarks? How would I know which to use?

Are you thinking about merging the two eventually?

Double-post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50475736/firefox-developer-edition-doesnt-refresh

I'm working on a Wordpress-site (using https) and I use Firefox Developer Edition (61.0b7 (64-bit)) to see and test my changes. But whenever I make changes in the content or the display, these changes are not reflected in Firefox Developer Edition (FDE). I'm logged into the back-end in a a normal Firefox browser.

Things I've tried:

  • Normal refresh F5
  • Refresh by hitting ctrl+F5 and ctrl+shift+R
  • Options > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data
  • Options > Cookies and Site Data > Block cookies and site data (may cause websites to break)
  • Reinstall the browser

If I for instance change the logo and the CSS of the menu, these changes does not appear in the FDE-window. But if I navigate to a page on the site that I have not visited in that browser before, the changes are there.

How do I make FDE refresh whenever I ask? Thanks for any suggestions!

Randomly my add-on theme suddenly is truncated on the left.

If I disable and re-enable the theme, it comes back to full width.

This is a bug, right?

It happened with two completely unrelated themes in basically the same way.

Is it on Firefox or only Developer's Edition?

Is it going to be fixed?

Thanks much!!!

Running Firefox 61 (on Windows 10 Pro) on a PC (Intel i7, 16 GB memory, plenty of disk space). When trying to add comments to any story on Fox News (how ironic), the browser quickly slows and then shortly will not respond at all. This begins by the display of my recently typed text (or cursor repositioning via mouse clicks) becoming very slow to show on the screen and then within 5 to 7 minutes, the typed characters do not show at all and the browser becomes fully inoperable. This has been happening for several releases of Firefox, up to, and including 61, and at least two previous updates to Windows. Please help.

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro, MacOS 10.13.5 (17F77), with MOTU Traveler Mk3 audio interface. MOTU has several analogue and digital outputs. I normally use just the AES/EBU digital outputs, and the analogue outputs are not connected to anything. This is the system default and all audio-using applications that I use, including Chrome and Safari, respect this default and use the AES/EBU output, except Firefox. From MOTU's software mixer I see that whenever I play audio with Firefox, it goes to the first two analogue channels of the MOTU. I have carefully gone through all OS and MOTU settings that could pertain to this and set them to use AES/EBU. Firefox is version 61.0b12 developer edition.

Or is anyone else having this repetitive problem, likely due to updates? Anyway to stop it from happening?

My issue is that Firefox 61.0b14 is causing many blue screens; the Kernel Security Check Failure stopcode is common.

I went to do a Bugcheck on several minidump files, and they all keep pointing at Firefox; uploaded image is from my recent crash.

As a person who has to keep Firefox open, in order to stream to Facebook via OBS Studio, this is getting quite cumbersome.
