First off I use No-script.

But I am encountering some sites, that is putting hijacking of the right mouse click menu in the primary script element of the site itself.

So to stop the hijacking, I have to have noscript block say "google.com" script, when going to the google.com page. But this renders the site itself as unusable.

Usually what the hijacking does, when right-clicking anywhere on the page, is sends you to advertising links.

I often times right click on pages to access controls to add "Block elements" to "Ublock" For the annoying advertising like "flash based" that ABP has been letting through. Non intrusive advertising my bottom.

This is beyond unacceptable behavior by sites. Why do webmasters not get it? forcing advertising or disruptive advertising only galvanizes the visitor to block ALL advertising, On every site. One bad apple ruins it for the rest so to speak.

So I am asking how to I stop sites from hijacking my mouse controls? When the hijack is embedded within the primary script the site needs to function? Where disabling that particular script is not an option in order to use the site.

I've read many other posts on this issue, don't seem to find a solution. So I have to ask. . I'm wanting a different default zoom level other than 100%. I understand Websites create their websites to generic 100%. I have UnTicked "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above",... but this still is not enough to "Have it my way". I have scoured "about:config" for ZOOM and changed many settings to (for say) 115% and this includes removing the 100% from the 3 lists of zoom levels... but oddly it still defaults to 100%. LASTLY: I am trying to do my best to keep ADD-ONS to a minimum, requiring the installation of yet another ADD-ON seems counterproductive. . It seems it be easier to have an eye transplant than getting a simple default zoom of my choice. .

I have recently started having the redirection issue with Amazon. I click on a product link on the Amazon website and now I get the message that this page is not properly redirecting. I try Chrome and it works fine. I have cleared my cache, insured that cookies are accepted and I have searched for solutions. I did find several others reporting this problem, but none of their solutions worked for me. The odd thing is that some links on Amazon still work properly. But others don't. Here is a link that is not working for me: https://www.amazon.com/ChickenFuel-OMRI-Listed-Organic-Compost-Fertilizer/dp/B0102PAT9O?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&redirect=true&ref_=s9_cartx_gw_g86_i3_r

Here is another link that works fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VOLHKHA/ref=br_asw_pdt-2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-4&pf_rd_r=57NDHMP0ADH9BCSMAPX8&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=4ccd27f1-4604-40d9-92c7-3318b57f8ba8&pf_rd_i=desktop

And, as I wrote above, all these links work in other browsers, i.e. Chrome. But I hate switching to Chrome so I can use Amazon. As far as I can tell, Amazon is the only website that has this issue. I browse a lot, so that seems strange to me.

I'm developing a web app. Currently, I'm using a self-signed certificate (getting it properly signed comes later).

When I have the web server set so that it only accepts TLS1.1 and TLS1.2, I'm getting a SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP error. And, of course, trying the 'use outdated security' link doesn't work, since the web server won't allow those connections.

If I temporarily allow insecure connections on the web server, Firefox will then allow me to accept the cert. After the cert is accepted, Firefox can then connect over only TLS1.1 and TLS1.2. So, most of the time, Firefox can find a common cypher for TLS1.1/1.2 connections.

(The web server is on an Ubuntu kernel, with OpenSSL1.0.1f.)

I currently use Firefox on Win XP sp3 and am preparing to install Win 7 which must be a clean install. I have a complete backup of the computer but I will need to reinstall all apps. I found the 'Backup Book marks to HTML' though I'm not sure it if also works for the toolbar websites. The password manager seems to only import from IE or Safari with no 'Export' Are there files/folders or a profile that I can simply copy from my backup to Win 7? I would prefer not to have to manually enter all my saved logins if possible.

Thanks

Hi

I've suddenly noticed that my fonts in FireFox are very blocky (no antialias). I'm sure this happened after a restart but not sure why.

I've checked the zoom factor of the page and I can confirm that this is at 100% / Reset

When I went to check my version it updated so this problem exists across 4.6 and 4.5.? (didn't catch the last number before it updated).

I've check windows (all fonts are fine)

I've check another browser (Chrome at the same page.. this is fine).

I'm posting this question/request for help as other posts I've found related do not quite match my issue.

Please find attached a screen shot of the issue (FireFox is to the left and Chrome to the right)

(Upload seems to be caught up, I'll reply to this msg if it doesn't show)

Many thanks J

I'm having a problem with the interface fonts on Firefox 46.0 on Linux (in this case, Kubuntu 16.04). They are far too small for my 24" 1920x1200 monitor.

Before I upgraded to version 46 I was using the Theme Font & Size Changer add-on by Baris Derin. Unfortunately, the latest release (45.4) no longer supports Linux (why, I don't know, but this is a problem). I attempted to install an older version of the add-on (43.4) but this doesn't seem to work. I can't find it anywhere in Firefox other than in my Add-ons Manager. I can't load up the configuration for it through the manager.

So, now I am stuck with tiny fonts, and it's hard to read.

I have read some references to setting the fonts in the userChrome.css file, but I can't seem to find a chrome folder on my machine. Does Firefox support this, still?

This has to be a common problem, and I hope there is a solution -- but I can't find one that works.

Hi, i have been trying for awhile to download a program that i trust, but the downloads window stays on "unknown time remaining". Is there a way i can get it to show me more info on how much more data or time it needs to go before it's finished?

I don't want to hold my breath indefinitely, if i should maybe close out and restart the whole process?

My internet connection is currently excellent, so it can't be that.

I also cleared my download history, and also changed my downloads to a different folder.

If possible, iwish to avoid having to reset the entire FF browser.

Help anyone?

Thanks!
