Hi there. I'm running 64-bit, Firefox 3.6.16, Linux 2.6.35, Fedora 14, and KDE. I have a custom dark theme in KDE. I setup a custom userContent.css:

[~/.mozilla/firefox/...efault/chrome]$ cat userContent.css textarea, input, select {

       color: #000000 !important;
       background-color: #ffffff !important;

}

This works on some sites, but on other sites, e.g. amazon.com search box and other important sites, I still see dark input boxes with dark text. When I look at the input box in Firebug:

userContent.css textarea, input, select {

   background-color: #FFFFFF !important;
   color: #000000 !important;

}

I'm guessing this is because of my KDE theme. However, I have "Use system colors" unchecked in my Colors preferences. Is there some about:config I have to change?

I recently downloaded iMesh to get a few MP3 downloads. At first I was unable to uninstall the software--it told me it was in memory or in use and could not be removed. But it uninstalled today. It's off my computer, but it has hijacked my browser. When I click on a new tab, I get iMesh as a search engine. I want them off my computer! How can I revert my tabs to Firefox or Google? I went thru the steps to ensure that Firefox is my default browser.

Today, I was on Tumblr, when something popped up. It disappeared before I was able to read it. Suddenly, the page refreshed. Not one picture loaded. I am only able to read the text. None of the pictures on the website are showing up. I tried everything. Restarting the computer, opening a new Firefox window, and everything else I could think of. Tumblr is running fine, on IE. All of a sudden, when I put a subject in the Yahoo search engine, and I get all the "hits" listed, I can no longer just click on them and they go to the web site. NOW each time I get a box titled "Opening" that say "You have chosen to open" and then says things like "which is a: application/octet-stream' and "from: http//search.yahoo.com". Then "What should firefox do with that file?" and I can choose "Open with [Browse]" or "Save File" with an "OK" and "Cancel" button. When I try "Open with" and use Browse I get lots of choices but none of them will work. What changed? Do I have malware in my computer? I am ready to just give up on FireFox and move to Chrome, which works just fine. Any help out there????

When downloading Firefox 4.0, DigitalPersona Personal 4.11.3805 with DigitalPersona Extension 5.0.0.3790 (from Mozilla Firefox Add-Ons) is incompatible. Fingerprint swipes only open the DPP application's Home Page. I had to uninstall FF 4 and re-install FF 3.6.16 in order to utilize fingerprint logon recognition.

DigitalPersona will no longer support DigitalPersona Personal as is evidenced by the following email I received from PersonalSupport@digitalpersona.com:

"Thank you for contacting DigitalPersona. We are extremely sorry to inform you there will be no update releases for DigitalPersona Personal in the future. We are also sorry to inform you there will be no updates for Firefox 4 nor Internet Explorer 9. You certainly can try to use either one, if they work for you great!. If they do not work, you will have to decide to either keep DPPersonal and forgo Firefox 4 or IE 9, or vice versa. DigitalPersona, regretfully, is leaving the consumer market and is focusing on numerous business and legal applications. In fact, again sorry to inform you, DigitalPersona Personal will not be supported after Mid-April of this year."

Hardware/Software:

Computer: HP DigitalPersonal Personal: 4.11.3805 OS: Windows 7 64bit Browser: Firefox 4 Fingerprint Reader Sensor: Validity Driver: 2.0.0.1

Will there be an update to this extension, or are there other software options to make the Validity Sensors, Inc. fingerprint reader compatible with FF4?
