Hello, I have a problem with Firefox crashing about 2-3 times every day. I have a feeling it is mostly while watching videos or photos but non only - happens also for sites like fb or e-mail. I updated Windows, I checked the viruses, I checked the RAM and all the hardware (RAM has been changed lately and it shows one error, but Firefox had been crashing already before the change), I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and all add-ons and plugins, practically I did everything I could. Finally I tried the Firefox safe mode, and it crashes anyway. The latest Report ID is: bp-a3c68828-7ed6-4949-984f-e23942140212

For a while, I have had the problem above. I can save images just fine if I don't use the "view image" function first, with the images going to the intended folders. Just to clarify, unlike some of similar problems I have seen described here, I am perfectly happy with Firefox remembering where I wish my pictures to go, on a site to site, or model to model (within the same site) basis. The problem lies in that if I use the "view image" function, either in a new tab, or in the existing one, Firefox will often prompt me to save in a random folder where I have previously saved a picture. It will even suggest folders that I have not accessed for days. Example:

I save image A to folder A, by right clicking the image and selecting "save image as".

I then (immediately after this), right click image A again, select "view image", then right click the resulting picture, and select "save image as". Now there is a fine chance that it want me to save the image to some other (previously used) image folder, even if I have not used the folder for a while, and even though I have just saved the same image to folder A.

This problem persists with multiple image file types, on multiple sites (I just tried it with someones avatar in this forum, and it wanted me to put it with my holiday pictures from 3 weeks ago).

I appreciate any assistance you can give - jinxie

FYI; If I "one-click" a file (like an mp4) to download it, it goes to my main / default download folder as normal.

I can access Gmail on any other browser, but not Firefox. I have looked at other suggestions, and nothing works.

I have cleared Cache, History, etc. In fact, I have it that Firefox automatically clear cache and history when I close the browser. I also removed any cookies pertaining to Google or Accounts.Google, and I even tried disabling a few plug-ins and extensions that I use, yet it still won't load.

The error I get on the page is:

"The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

Hello I keep getting a Warning message saying: _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: Unresponsive script

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: http://s.ytimg.com/yts/jsbin/www-pageframe-vfl2mrQyf.js:68 _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Now I have tried setting the script max run time for a longer duration. I have checked to see if it was any Add-ons and it isn't. I have updated the driver for my graphics card on my Surface Pro 2 and that didn't solve the problem. I have downloaded Yesscript and that didn't do anything but break youtube leaving me to uninstall firefox and reinstall it again. I have tried using the Beta firefox to see if it was and that hasn't worked either. I have done everything in all the articles that you can find which talk about fixing the unresponsive script issue in firefox and NOTHING HAS WORKED! I would have switched back to chrome but seeing as it looks and performs terribly on the surface pro 2 because Google could care less about updating it for the tablet/PC because its from Microsoft, I guess I'm stuck with this or just braving the cold of using Internet Explorer without Add-ons. I believe that Flash Player is the main culprit for this issue but I don't know how to fix it.

Please if you have had this issue and have a fix for it PLEASE reply because you are my last hope. I am currently running the beta version of firefox (YES I HAVE TRIED ALL THE STEPS WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF FIREFOX SO DO NOT SUGGEST THAT), Also I am not a coder or anything of the sort, just a troubled, a little above average computer knowledge guy who is wishing chrome worked on the Surface Pro 2.

I have an account on a secure website for some investment accounts. When I get to my summary account page, and click on one of my accounts, there are three, the page for that account opens. On that page are several tabs and options for information, things like current amount, my investments, all investments account activity history. When I go into any of the accounts and select any of the tabs or options nothing happens. I can go back to the home page and select another account but the same thing happens. I contacted the company and they checked their end and said it's fine. I have used Firefox to access my information and download data for several years, but now it doesn't want to work. If I use Internet Explorer the tabs and options work fine.

Problems with 27.0 Bookmarks dissapear Not able to use back browser button

I'm 1000% positive it's 27.0. Everytime that orange Firefox button in the top left of my screen shows up the bookmarks dissapear and the back browser button doesn't work. I immediately check what version of firefox I have and yup it's 27.0. Very frustrating..

I am using Firefox 27.0.1. I can access the New York Times home page, but not load a page with a particular article. I cannot load the Guardian home page, but can load other webpages on the Guardian website. I do that by googling "Guardian" and clicking on, for instance, "Sport". If I click on "News" (the home page), I get the message: "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." This happens with many websites and there is no change over time: I can always load some pages and I can never load other pages. With some websites, I have no problems at all.

Crushing Slowness With Graphic-intensive Websites

I've done about everything I've can for this browser. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Firefox and all of its updates. I've experimented with turning plug-ins off and on to see if any were compromising my system. I've removed some plug-ins, entirely, and reinstalled others to make sure they weren't corrupted. I've ran multiple malware and anti-virus programs to clean-up my computer, which resulted in zero virus and a cleaning-up of old malware. But, when I got to sites like Wonkette.com or MLive.com, just as examples, it takes literal minutes for them to load totally crippling my system for minutes at a time. This is some times accompanied by multiple script errors that only add to the crippling wait times. I've turned by Windows Firewall on and off to see if that was slowing the browser down, but to no avail.

It seems that this has to do with how Firefox renders graphic-intensive pages. It seems like a Java or JavaScript problem, though, I've not been able to figure out which one. I have QuickJava, but only turning off JavaScript seems to help, and that's not really a solution, as you often need JS to do things like collapse and expand threads in certain forums and to load video players and certain pictures and graphics. It's way too time consuming.

Is there anything in my browser options that may help with this? Something I've checked that should be unchecked or vice versa? Is my older version of Windows a problem? It's not as if I don't have enough memory to run Firefox, but every time I do a Firefox Health Report, I always get the message that my "browser seems to be running slower than usual." ALWAYS. I've posted troubleshooting information below. Let me know if you guys think it's any of the specific plug-ins/add-ons I'm running (I rarely have any of them on besides Java and then Status Bar 4evar).

What is it with Java and JavaScript that Firefox can't seem to reconcile with?

When I first click on Firefox my monitor shows an all black window for a home page. A small rotating circle shows up on the black window; the indicator that a web site is loading. After a few seconds the circle goes away and for a flash the screen shows the url itself of my established home page, with a bit of an outline of that opening. Just as quickly, that disappears and the window goes black again. I can close it by right clicking on the Firefox logo and selecting "close all windows," and I can minimize it by using the windows key and the letter M. I feel that the correct screen is underneath the black window, but to which I have no access.

Before all this happened the search engine Ask had made itself the home page for Firefox without my consciously asking for that. By going to the control panel and the Internet entry, I removed what had become the url (of Ask's supplied home page) in the choice for home page, with my usual one (www.excite.com). That's when the above trouble started and remains.

Obviously, I am writing this contact to the Internet and a different machine. On the computer with the problem I couldn't see what I am doing. I could have also used Windows Explorer on the troubled machine; it has not been affected with the same problem.

I already cleared the cache and logged off my account. What else can I do? Thanks.

This message seems to be associated with scrolling - i.e. it only happens when I scroll the view. Every time I scroll, a good page or two of these messages are generated.

Is this relevant, and how can it be fixed? My syslog is growing abnormally large due to this.
