When I load the website it loads a weather map of a week ago on an other map it is a few days old. I can't seem to get an updated map.

deleted the cash and deleted the cookies and still the same

I have Fixefox 16.0.2 Win7 x64 . but the same problem on Ubuntu I can't copy translate from right panel in google translator, but in other browers is fine. Ctrl-c,ctrl-v and context menu didn't help me.

Was using Firefox 14 with Flash v.11disabled all Real Player plug-ins, disabled protected mode for Flash and Youtube was working correctly. Then Firefox upgraded me to 16.0.2, and Youtube doesn't work. When I click on a Youtube video, it doesn't give me any error message, just a blank screen.

Downgraded to Flash v.10, still doesn't work. But Youtube works OK with IE and Chrome.

It's not under add-ons and it's not a program that I can uninstall. I have AdBlocker, which isn't helping. Random words are highlighted on my pages. It just started happening today. I thought people were trying to spam me. How annoying can they be?

could someone tell me how to set notepad++ as the default source code viewer in FF v16 please?

I've set view_source.editor.external to true and set notepad++ location in view_source.editor.path but the FF default one still opens page source.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have reinstalled the flash plugin numerous times and it fixes the issue for a short while then it comes back. I am not sure what else I can do to fix this. Its very annoying. I see there is something about cookies with this issues but not sure how to do that fix. I watch a lot of youtube videos and I am going to have to resort to using google chrome instead of FF.

I started my computer this morning and everything seemed normal, yet once I got on youtube, every video i tried to watch wouldn't play properly, even though yesterday things were fine, and I've never encountered this problem before.. I hadn't updated, installed or otherwise changed anything between the two days and everything else works just fine.. Whenever i start a video the sound chops up and skips/lags like it can't keep up.. It's hard to describe.. Kinda like if one listens to a CD with lots of scratches... I initially assumed that it was a Flash Player issue.. But after updating both Flash Player and Firefox to the latest versions the problem still persists.. I now assume it is a Firefox issue, as I have tried viewing the videos in other browsers, and they play just fine.. I have no idea what is causing it.. And I would appreciate any help or solutions you could give me.. I'm also not that big of a computer expert, so please forgive me for anything seemingly obvious I might have overlooked.. Since upgrading to Windows 8 Pro (with a downloaded upgrade, not a "clean" instal, so all my apps and settings were retained) I get the following error message when starting my customised version of Firefox with several pinned tabs, or when flash content loads in an uncustomised version in another user account, or when that version is closed if no flash content is loaded :-

(Title) - FlashPlayerPlugin_11_5_502_110.exe - Application Error

(Content) - "The instruction at 0x71a30000 referenced memory at 0x71a30000. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program"

This also happened with the 11.4.402 version prior to today's update.

I have tried running the browser with add-ons disabled, and uninstalled/re-installed Firefox, but the problem remained. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to fix it?

On firefox 16.0.2 on a macbook pro OS X 10.8.2. Smart Suggestor Ads appear on top of my google search results. I did not install the Smart Suggestor add-on & I can't find it anywhere on my computer. I suspect this is something else. How do I get rid of it? Thanks for any help.

Since upgrading from 15.0.1 to 16.01, i noticed the Awesome Bar looks larger and some things are highlighted. This is distracting to my eyes. Is there an add-on fix or rollback option?

First tab says congratulation Firefox is updated, I already know that, now it opens this tab each time I open my browser. Second tab is some sort of addon checker thingy.

Thought it might have happened with the upgrade to 16 from 15, down graded, happens there as well. So now back to 16 and still have the problem, except now I have this first tab opening as well.

Hi---started up and suddenly ---No Navigation buttons or customized buttons --no bookmarks toolbar --no box in which to enter a URL and change to another page --no menu commands --pretty much nothing, in fact, except the content of my home page. There's not even the series of commands for "about" or "help" NOTHING

Now, I discovered by accident that if I click on a link from my portal (netvibes) that happens to open in a new window, then all my old stuff appears.

But every time I open the first instance of the browser as a default--it's unuseable as it even lacks a place to put a url to change sites!

I've tried right-clicking along the strip as I saw in a FAQ; all I get are Windows commands (restore, minimize, close, and a nview command added long ago by my video card), but no options to CUSTOMIZE and or VIEW and restore toolbars, etc-

I tried f11 to make sure that I was not accidentally running full screen (although clearly I was not) and that test demonstrated I was not.

I hit f10---nothing happened.

When I right click elsewhere on the page (other than on a link from some feed on my portal), it gives me a host of commands from various extensions, like "open tab in new window" or "add to evernote" or "fireshot" but nothing that seems directly related to Firefox except I can see navigation commands like back/forward in the right click menu.

Clicking on the Firefox icon in the upper left just brings up the "close" "minimize" "restore" commands mentioned earlier from Windows.

Any advice?

FF 16.01, WinXPsp3

i've FF 16.0.2 on 2 PCs - one will not show images in certain sites (IMDb, justdial.com) but they will be shown in IE. FF in other PC will not play videos (youtube) but will show images. i have Win 7 HPx64. i tried downgrading flash player from 11.3 to 10 with no resolution. 'load images automatically' is checked in options-->content. i have VLC web plugin 2.0.2.0.

I have downloaded and installed various themes, when i am prompted to close and re-start firefox i do so, and the selected theme appears on re-start. however if i then close firefox of my own accord and then re-start, the theme disappears and is reverted back to "Default 16.0.2". Even if i go to the Add-ons Manager and select Appearance, the Default 16.0.2 theme is disabled and my required theme is enabled, but the default 16.0.2 is the only theme which works.

I have just upgraded to Firefox 17 and found that Norton 360 "Login Assistant" (formally named Identity Safe) no longer works. It does not fill in the username and password fields. It worked very well and did all the right things when I was using Firefox 16. There is probably a quick fix but in the meantime I have had to revert to version 16. Looking forward to the problem being resolved.

One would assume this would be an option when customizing the toolbars. When I was doing FF betas, i reported this and later suggested it.

I use 64-bit windows 7 os in Dell inspiron 15R laptop. My firefox browser was up-to-date until a couple of days before. Then soon it started crashing. No way I could sustain a window open for more than a few seconds. (If i reboot the system it may last for a few more minutes) At last as a last retort i uninstalled firefox and downloaded the latest version (Firefox Setup 25.0.1). But now when i tried to run the setup file, it says i can't run that in the version of widows i'm using. but, i have been using firefox in the same machine for years now! then from another link i downloaded Firefox Setup Stub 25.0.1. But running this file does not proceed at all! It shows 'downloading' for hours without progress. Now i could manage to install an old set-up file 16.0.2 but i could no way be upgraded. How can i upgrade to the latest version. I simply loved firefox more than any other browser and i've been using it for years. This is the first time i'm facing such a big headache. Please help me figure this out. (thanks in advance for the patient reading)

Hi I updated to the latest flash player 11.4.402.287 today, both the activex or plugin versions appear in the flash manager. However, I am unable to play flash videos in youtube, the bar at the top indicates "Install missing plugin" I have repeated the installation process, it does appear to complete successfully, but again when attempting to play youtube videos the "install missing plugin appears" and videos will not play.

I have also installed and re-installed the latest version of firefox today, thought that may help, seem to have the same problem. The flash player isn't listed in the plugin add on list. I'm not sure what else to do or what the problem could be.

I would appreciate any advice, please
