I have run Malwarebytes, a full virus scan of my whole PC, Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and I can't figure out why. I have sent the same question to You Tube to see if they have any ideas. Any help would be great

I'm visually impaired and had originally used a CSS code to fix this problem, but that was a couple of years ago. I just upgraded to 131.0.3 (64 bit) and evidently, that wiped out all my CSS changes. I tried to use the about:config code to change it, but it no longer works. I managed to increase the icon size a little by changing the density to normal, then back to compact. Even on normal, it was all too small.

I don't want to use another profile, because every time I do, I lose so much that it takes me hours to reinstall it all.

Is there an easier way to do this? I've tried a couple of things suggested online, but they were old settings suggestions, and they no longer work either.

ALSO, I now have to use F11 full screen to be able to perform anything on the toolbars. Before this update, I could just move my cursor up to bring the toolbars down, and use the back arrow or refresh easily. Now, the toolbars immediately go back up and I have to use F11 to do anything. How do I fix this?

There are 4 toolbars at the top of the Firefox screen. The default order from top to bottom seems to be:

 Menu bar
 Tabs bar
 Navigation bar
 Bookmarks bar   (which Firefox apparently calls "PersonalToolbar")

I would like to move the Bookmarks bar above the Tabs bar so the order is;

 Menu bar
 Bookmarks bar
 Tabs bar
 Navigation bar

I tried to use ChatGPT to accomplish this. After well over 6 iterations, I gave up (ChatGPT was still going strong - hallucinating?). The only code in userChrome.css that accomplished this is shown below. Unfortunately it leaves the order as:

 Bookmarks
 Navigation
 Menu
 Tabs

How to change home page and new tab to desired URL or any extension of Firefox desktop in 2025?

I am unable to find any way to change how my new tab should look when I click + sign or new tab is opened up on browser opening or re-opening unlike Chrome.

I hate the change of position of typing from the search bar on the current new tab to the URL bar (unseen or unheard in Chrome) that Firefox implemented without considering users who would detest it.

I can't play videos on any platform. it just gets stuck buffering. Steps I've already tried: -uninstall extensions -clear cache -restart browser -restart computer -uninstall & reinstall firefox current ver. -uninstall & reinstall previous ver.

Thanks to a Microsoft update my PC had to have Windows reinstalled causing me to lose all my apps. I have reinstalled Firefox on the PC but of course, all my bookmarks and passwords are missing. I had set up syncing between my PC and my Android mobile devices (phone and tablet). Can I restore or sync from the mobile device back to the PC? I have searched and found nothing. Even when signed into Firefox on the phone, it does not bring up "Sync" when I go to settings. I truly appreciate your help.

My system memory is reading at 57% right now in task manager, that the vast majority of that is being used by Firefox.

Why?

Normally, this would be called a flaw in the program, not the user, as all I have done in regards to settings is "keep tabs previous open when re-opening Firefox" and "Do not automatically update" because Firefox took it upon itself to not re-open my previous tabs on the last update.

Why is this program eating up all of that memory? I have "Firefox (15)" in Task manager under "Apps" and then 13 more instances of Firefox in "Backround Processes"

I publish two mediawiki sites. http://wikidelphia.org and http://othernetworks.org

Both show up just fine for other people and for me when I access them with other browsers.

My problem occurs when I use Firefox to work on OtherNetworks. I'm going to try attaching screen shots of the Main Page. The first is from a normal view of my main page taken with another browser. In this shot the graphic is on the right

The second one is the same page taken with Firefox as the browser. I can't even figure out how to describe what is wrong with that second display.

I'm wishing for someone to figure out what is going on here and tell me how to restore FireFox so I can use it to work on my website. Is there some setting in Firefox or in the OtherNetworks site that is causing the awkward layout when using Firefox. I'm rather dependent on the bookmarks in Firefox.

Is there any Add-on that will shoot a scrolling screenshot (full page screenshot)?

For reference, there's an excellent extension on Chrome/Brave called "Go full screen" which has simple but perfect functionality, one-click automation, saves as either .pdf or .png format to your downloads folder.

On certain websites, I see that the background color of the new tab page replaces the default background color making the content unreadable, example:

Here's what I see (see the firsrt attached screenshot). Now, if I open the same URL in Private browsing, the background color changes too (see the second screeenshot). In the 3rd screenshot I'm adding the reference rendering, that's how I expect this website to render (Edge).

In the screenshot 1 and 2, the background color is exactly the same as the one used by the new tab page when I open a new tab.

Questions: 1) Why is that? 2) Can I change that?

I can not reach Tractorsuppy.com from my firefox browser. I have used it with no issues for over a year. I am able to reach it if I use google browser. I get a message 502 Bad Gateway. Please help!

I keep the browser open and at some time my C drive has limited disk space.(~100mb) Then extensions stop working and after a browser restart, all extension data are lost. In my opinion current extension data shouldn't be lost even if disk space is limited.

Certain websites I visit will fail to display custom fonts, unless I clear cookies, where it works fine until I refresh the page, either by signing back in, or reloading. the screenshots I have are of https://developer.android.com/studio/install this is one of the sites that gives me the issue. I have tried disabling all of my extensions, and it still doesn't fix the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

How to search for installed (both enabled and disabled) addons extensions in Firefox browser like chrome does via "chrome://extensions/" in 2025?

It is quite surprising that in 2024-25, firefox still doesnt have any option to search for installed addons via "about:addons". You can only search for addon site, not for those installed on your device and profile and browser.

Is firefox team really updating their browser for 2025 when compared to chrome?

Is there a way to back up the tabs I have open? I tried a tab manager, I've forgotten it's name, a few years ago and it worked for a while then the folders I had started to come up empty. I e-mailed the owner but got no response and no help getting the lost tabs back. I am looking at Tree Style Tab but any other suggestions are welcome.
