I really like Firefox, and have been using it for many years. I even used Netscape navigator back in the bad old days! But there are two things that really annoy me:

- I can't seem to be able to place bookmarks into folders on the desktop (like I can with Vivaldi). For example: I visit a lot of news sites, so I'd like to have a folder called "News", and put them all it there instead of having my news site bookmarks all over the desktop. I just find it a cleaner way to organise my desktop.

- I can't seem to customize my search, apart from selecting between the default search engines. I'd like to be able to search "google.co.za" instead of "google.com", but there doesn't seem to be a way of changing that (again, like I can with Vivaldi).

If I could sort these issues out, Firefox would be my main browser, and I'd scrap Vivaldi as I find that it's getting too "heavy". (Of course, maybe these features contribute to that!)

When I check Firefox for add ons (Manage your extensions), I see the two that I installed. When I use "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" "Application Basics": Multiprocess Windows "Remote Processes" , I see in addition: Amazon.co.uk Amazon.com DuckDuckGo eBay Wikipedia

How do I eliminate these?

For the last couple of months I have been getting frequent (not always) hangs on exiting Firefox. Sometimes get the windows message of not enough threads. Sometimes goes to "Firefox is not responding". Always have to reboot to clear.

When I clicked troubleshooting mode FF unexpectedly closed my Private browsing session and all the tabs. How do I reopen them?

I did not expect FF to close on me like that. I thought that as I was in a private browsing session FF would have warned me that it was about to close had it been necessary.

I'm guessing that my open tabs have been lost permanently because you didn't warn me and that all that time I spent is now wasted.

Life is really simple except that other people make it problematic.

My main page in eBay is only loaded when using Firefox trouble shoot mode. In regular mode the page hangs, only the headers are loaded, no detail lines.

Please enable whatever that functionality elsewhere.

Om Macos 12.7.3 Monterey using FF 115.7.0esr (64-bit). Been using FF since God knows when. All well. But a couple of months ago windows or tabs are crashing. When I'm hitting a link and either holding Cmnd or right click "open in new tab" in order to get the linked page in new tab, the tab/window I'm using shuts down. Poof.

I am having problems with your Firefox web browser a lot of websites seem to keep crashing and refuse to load and sometimes i am getting errors like this:

I have checked all settings everything is correct and my web browser is up to date!

I am particularly having this problem on my windows 7 laptop it is a 64bit version.

Any help would on this would be highly appreciated!

On homesnap web site I get a pop-up window for homes.com. I can't get back to homesnap & I can't get rid of the window to redirect to homes.com. What can I do? Thanks
