For the last few months Firefox has released a stable version and a matching ESR version for OS's that are no longer supported. Firefox stable version had a major monthly release and a minor update as needed. For the next release scheduled in July I see a stable version of 128.0 with two matching ESR versions. I'm trying to understand the difference between the two ESR versions. The two versions advertised as ESRs are 128.0 + 115.13.

Is there a way to replace the navigation icons on the context menu with their text-only counterparts?

I've tried the following code segments which provide less-than-optimal results.

This one which worked in FF 88, now removes the icons, but leaves 4 blank buttons in a row with no text...

#context-back image,
#context-forward image,
#context-reload image,
#context-stop image,
#context-bookmarkpage image {display: none !important;}}

This one completely removes the options, but I would like to keep them, and replace them with their text counterparts

#context-navigation,
#context-sep-navigation {
   display:none !important;
}

Please see attached images for the before and after of what I'm trying to achieve.

Might be nice to have the blank icon column to the left of these 4 items so they all line up with the items below, but I can live without that if it's not possible.

I would like to change the color of the two highlighted URLs in the address bar's drop down list to what they were in FF 88 - the one that is currently selected with the cursor keys, and the one the mouse pointer is over.

The first screenshot below is of the highlight colors in FF 115/125. You can see two different shades of gray, the darker gray being the URL selected with the cursor keys, the lighter gray being the one the mouse pointer is over.

The second image shows the colors from FF 88, the URL selected with cursor keys in blue, and a dark gray for the one the mouse pointer is over.

Any help in modifying these colors, and the radius of the selection is greatly appreciated!

I'd like to organize bookmarks alphabetically, with folders listed first, at the top of the list, followed by bookmarks not saved to folders. How do I do this? An example: Folder A Folder B Folder C Acme Co inc Beta Corp, C corp ...etc

All of a sudden the map function won't work with firefox on www.realestate.com

checked add on's , extensions and nothing there...

works on chrome...

is there any way (other than the one plugin I found that did not work for some reason) to adjust firefox' general brightness (or that of an individual tab) ?

Also changing my monitors brightness would not work for me as I am trying to test a website I develop (using firefox to visualize it) and it is rather just the large difference between my editor (which's brightness you can not adjust) and the browser that is very unpleasent when I switch back and forth (like when trying to fix a bug).

hello everyone; i have a strange issue with my yubikey and firefox on redhat linux 8. (i can't upgrade to red hat 9 and it's technically oracle linux)

its works fine for the first x hours (where x is usually between 1 and 3 hours) and then firefox will invariably stop recognizing the yubikey touch. yubikey works with any other application in that journalctl shows that systemd is aware of it's existence when i plug/unplug it and i get a string in my terminal and text editors whenever i touch they key both before and after it stops working with firefox.

i've tried these things but the behavior is still the same: - regenerating my ~/.mozilla configuration directory - toggling all *webauth* keys in about:config - switching from yum to flatpak firefox installation - switching from gnome to kde to xfce - switching from Wayland to X11

there are no error messages; journalctl doesn't show any either; and chrome doesn't seem to have this problem, but i don't trust chrome and, interestingly, chrome exhibits the same behavior when using xfce.

the only thing that works reliability is rebooting each time it happens and, as you can imagine, that's 100% intrusive and i lose all momentum in my productivity.

Firefox version: 115.10.0esr (64-bit)

OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.9 (Ootpa) Oracle Linux Server release 8.9 5.15.0-205.149.5.1.el8uek.x86_64

I have support licensing from both Oracle and Yubikey and i've asked them for help and they both point the finger at each other so i'm stuck with this; any help would be appreciated!

I'm running Firefox which I compiled with vaapi support because I was trying to use hardware acceleration for videos, so I think this bug may have something to do with that. Every time I open a pdf file my browser instantly crashes. When I use troubleshoot mode I have no such issue. I then tried with a fresh all-default user profile with no add-ons, nothing, and still I crash when loading a PDF. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hello, First post and could not find this surprisingly... I'm wondering what settings to use for windows 11 VPN section. i installed on my desktop but when i go to VPN settings in current win 11 it does not list a VPN. is this possible to use Mozilla VPN at OS level or is it only via ff browser?

Problem started Maybe around mid April. Have 5 computers: 2 running Windows 10, 2 running Windows 7 Professional, 1 running Linux

With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. Headlines and other tabs are not showing text properly - Not even a different language - Example of the way a headline or tab would read: Vj cv)u"k# with other parts of the website reading is ok. Especially in the application Vimeo.

I have rebooted computer and confirmed it is something to do with Firefox because when I go and use another platform like chrome it looks fine, no problems.

My Windows virus protection shows nothing but I keep getting notices int he lower right corner of my screen that say Mozilla Firefox ESR and tell me there is an infection. It tries to take me to a website to scan and then buy McAfee to fix it. If I make sure Firefox is shut down (forced through Task Manager) it seems to go away. It appears that only the Firefox browser may be infected.
