You will tell me why Mozilla Firefox, a browser that claim to protect our privacy, is PERMANENTLY connected to Amazon servers.
Even If I try to block the connections with a Firewall, it's useless, because the next time I start it, it still connects to Amazon using diffferent IP address, even if the starting page is totally blank.
It is not about keeping firefox up-to-date, because when I manually start the search for an update, Firefox establish a new connection: Mozilla REALLY want my browser to SEND datas to Amazon, which is one of the worst company when we talk about collecting personnal informations, just like Google, which Firefox also use, but it's less dramatic since I can decide to not use that feature.
So, like I wrote, I try to block Amazon IP addresses: The result is that I can't access extensions store, but that's still not the use of these servers, since even If It's blocked, Amazon still appears in Established connections, and it's not about Search: Indeed, Amazon appears in a list of engines we can use ( if we want it ), but it's un-checked, and I use a different search engine, so what's left now, since there's apparently no reason at all for these connections to happen.
Here's my theory: Mozilla need money to survive, so it sell informations about its users to Amazon, and that's why it's so important to keep these connections alive.
The fact that we're forced to connect to Amazon servers shows that it's not necessary and that whatever the reason you ive me (update, protection...), it's probably (obviously) not the truth.
Waiting for a real answer !

Where is the button in Firefox TabSessionManager that says "restore most recent uncorrupted session file?"
Last my last Session and can't find it to recover it?
Should this be automated by this version?
Why do you not put directions on how to get to the screens and pages you refer to?

Latest firefox update 104 x64 crashed every time bluestack piex64 (android emulator) launches. Afterwards running firefox again will keep running with no problems issues. Its only on launch of bluestacks that the issue happen and have replicated in different machines. I presume latest update uses some kind of internal android adb instance running? and it conflicts with the one that bluestacks emulates?

Hello,
For two firefox updates, I've been having an issue where after about an hour or two of using firefox (it varies), video players on most websites will stop working. Almost every website except for Youtube's videoplayer stops working after an hour, all at once. Restarting firefox fixes it, but it's very annoying to restart firefox every couple of hours, and seems like a problem.
The following things didn't fix it: clearing my cache, disabling my addons one by one, turning off hardware acceleration, trying to watch the video in a private window, or reinstalling firefox. I don't know what's left to try. It has nothing to do with my audio devices.
Please advise, thank you!

Under Firefox "Help" menu I saw that there is a link for "Share ideas and feedback". I posted today an idea to Mozilla Connect "Ideas' section to improve Firefox, but it seems to be deleted. My account page shows I posted "1 post", but no post is visible. Is it possible that my post is deleted by admins for some reason? In that case, shouldn't I receive a message for why it is deleted? Title: “Active tab” marker design needs to be changed to make it more functional
Post content: Firefox is my favorite browser. I use several other browsers during my work, as well and the older design of Firefox tab markers (indicating which tab I am on) was much better. Before Firefox ver. 89, the active tab design was more functional as it was immediately clear which tab is the “active tab”. I prepared a visual comparison of how different browsers indicate the active tab. (attached image). Also inserted how it was before Firefox Ver 89. I hope the designers will take this into consideration in the future releases.

This is a recent change -- the desktop browser didn't do this until a few weeks ago. It now plays slideshows automatically. This feature is called Auto-Rotation, but it has nothing to do with rotating the display on a phone or tablet (although that feature has the same name). This feature automatically rotates among the slides in a slideshow. It's incredibly annoying, especially since I typically forget its on (or don't realize I'm looking at a slideshow) and it changes to the 2nd slide just as I have begun reading the 1st. I then have to turn Auto-Rotation off and go back to the 1st slide to continue. When I remember, I have to hurry to turn Auto-Rotation off before it moves to the 2nd slide. Is there any way to turn this off? I can't find one by looking through Settings, and there's nothing on this subject in Help, that I can find. For what it's worth, whoever thought this was a good idea was wrong, but if there's a way to change so it's not the default, I'll be content.

"OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc." plugin will sit in the "will be installed shortly" status forever if you have HTTPS-Only mode enabled. I have been pulling my hair out for the last few days trying to figure out why I couldn't play YouTube or many other sites videos.
Turns out the site that the library is downloaded from has a bad certificate installed: https://ciscobinary.openh264.org/libopenh264-2.3.0-linux64.6.so.bz2
``` Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for ciscobinary.openh264.org. Is there any way to clear the list of previously used locations in the "Add to Bookmarks" applet? Mine have been "frozen" for 4-5 YEARS. In the attached screencap, the entire bottom half of the list is useless - I haven't used "Food Idiots", "Downloads", "MP3" and "Stuff" folders in years.
It's annoying because I use bookmarks almost exclusively for saving sessions (Select All Tabs > Bookmark Tabs), but every time I have to manually select the "Sessions" folder. In fact, when I took the attached screencap I'd just finished saving 11 windows to the Sessions folder... and had to manually select them every time!
Thanks!
The issues I am facing with outlook mail seems to have occurred within the last 3 months. I have used outlook in Chrome and there is no issue. I have gone to the Microsoft site and there are several complaints that Outlook is not usable with Firefox. On my company machine, I limit my personal email to Firefox.
Other web pages seem to be fine, just outlook mail. I use Firefox for most of my testing & personal and Chrome for corporate browsing.
The issues start occurring after about 5 min, within the last month. I am a MacOS user and I have v.104. The issues face range from not limited emails listed, missing icons, javaScript drop-downs not working, not being able to delete emails, not being able to restore emails.
When I refresh the page, more recently Outlook crashes. My cache for Outlook is around 13-14Mb. When I clear the cache, things are fine for about 5-10 min. When the page refresh fails, I get the following consistent error message:- UTC Date: 2022-08-30T18:49:33.551Z Client Id: 1069883F64C04966AFA704CEF4EF3E78 Session Id: a338a732-ad52-4dee-a388-43aac7dac2b8 Client Version: 20220819006.08 BootResult: cdnError Failed resource: https://res-geo.cdn.office.net/owamail/20220819006.08/scripts/../resources/locale/en-gb/owa.MailListItemThreeColumnView.json err: Error: Failed to load localized strings esrc: InitLoc et: ClientError estack: c@https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/?bO=2&sessionId=a338a732-ad52-xxxx-a388-43aac7dac2b8:341:116883 a/a<@https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/?bO=2&sessionId=a338a732-ad52-xxx-a388-43aac7dac2b8:341:116563
Trying to open any link from a pdf opens a page with the url resource://pdf.js/web/ instead of opening the link. The attached image shows what the page that opens looks like. This does not happen on Edge, so it is a Firefox issue.
I have updated to the newest Firefox version and the issue remained the same. I tried clicking on "viewer.html" and it brought me to an empty pdf page that just loads forever and cannot be downloaded.
Please help. I do not want to use Edge or go back to Chrome, but I will if this can't be resolved.
I changed the screen shortcut icon for https://mappingsupport.com.
Then in the profiles folder, I renamed the file favicon.sqlite, closed Firefox and restarted my PC. But when I saved the mappingsupport shortcut to my screen, I still see the old shortcut image.
I also tried going to Privacy and Security where I deleted 'Cached web content'.
How do I tell Firefox to get rid of that old shortcut image and use the new shortcut image instead?
Chrome on my PC saved the new shortcut icon to my screen. My iPad also saved the new shortcut icon to the screen.
I have recently bought a new laptop and installed Firefox, which I have been using for a long time. After signing into my Firefox account, everything synced over to my new Firefox account, apart from the colorways theme that I chose with the Firefox 94 update - mine is "Foto - Soft". Is there any way that I can get this theme on my newly installed version of Firefox? Thanks.
