How do I get ride of the dreadful CONDUIT SEARCH which has colonised my Firefox search like computer Herpes? I have tried a few of the replies but nothing has helped - it appears nowhere on any program list and even the following didn't do the trick :-

Owner AnonymousUser 1 year ago Several tried to but no one seemed to understand the real problem. I COULD, because it was mine too. So it follows the only ultimate solution:

1. Open Firefox 2. On the address bar, type – about:config in the URL. Press Enter.
3. You will be warned about Warranty. Click on “I’ll be careful…”

4. On the Filter dialog box type – search.conduit 5. It will display all related entries. Right-click on Preferences Name and Reset. It worked for me, after trying a dozen of "fake" solutions. ;)

Other than serious chainsaw work, any ideas?

I have an Add-on that just showed uninvited and it has no remove button. It is called FBPhotoZoom, but I am not sure if it is the actual add-on. When I searched this, there was a FB Photo Zoom, that I installed and uninstalled with no problems, but this one remained.

The Add-on says FBPhotoZoom 1.3 By Install Daddy FB Photo Zoom, Small change - BIG difference

There is only an Enable/Disable button

I tried to uninstall the toolbar through Control Panel and changing browser settings and it worked temporarily a couple of times, but the toolbar keeps coming back. Now a window has opened up and can't be closed. it says:" browser settings change, an unknown change was detected on your browser search settings: keep current settings" or "I'm aware if this change and approve it". I have 2 accesses to firefox: one on the bottom toolbar and one on the screen. This window stops me from accessing firefox from the toolbar. It looks like very soon I won't have access to firefox anymore. I found a site that claims to remove it but provides ni identity: http://removal-tool.blogspot.com/2012/01/remove-funmoods-browser-extension.html is it safe to try it?

Hi all

I am running FF 10 and my mouse hover is not working, when I hover over a link/image the pop-up box that normally comes up with a description in it does not appear.

It only works in safe mode. I have tried restarting FF with all add-ons disabled but it didn't work, I have manually disabled all add-ons but it still doesn't work, it only works when I'm in safe mode.

All Extensions and Plugins are currently disabled but I still have this problem.

Any idea's how I can resolve this?

Thanks.

They are small pop-up windows. When I start entering in keywords to search, ever so often, these things pop-up and not just one. Many of them. Popping one upon another upon another upon another. I cannot enter anything new into the Google search box until I have closed all of these windows. And, commonly, numerous ones of them will pop up again when I enter in the next letter in my search.

This is what it says in the pop-up box:

Along the top it says in the light blue margin "Opening search"

Under the above and in a white box it says:

"You have chosen to open

[a Windows symbol] search

    which is a: application/json
    from: https//www.google.com

Then on the outline of an inner box, it reads "What should Firefox do with this file?" and it gives the following options:

    Open with ["Browse" button]
    DownThemAll!
Save File [This one is checked as the default]

Then a check-off box with the text next to it: "Do this automatically for files like this from now on.

Under that is an "OK" button that is gray and cannot be checked and a "Cancel" button that can be. I have never done either but used the "X" in the upper right corner of the box to close out this window.

Now I see I have limited options for "This happened" for frequency. It isn't every time Firefox is opened but it is FAR more frequent than "A few times a week". More like several times a day.

It seems that the latest Java Plugin for Firefox 10.0 that works is version U29. However Oracle pushes version 31 as the latest and 'greatest'. But it doesn't work in Firefox 10. Not really a problem except that your webpage that checks plugins for 'out-dated-ness' indicates that the U29 version is 'out of date'

Going through the Java Plugin update process from this point is a particularly nasty process (Oracle's fault, not Mozilla's) which doesn't do anything of value. It may even install the next version, which, as I said, doesn't work.

Can you fix your web page so that it doesn't indicate that the U29 version is out of date?

Thank you.
