Essentially the same question as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1321794
Is there any way to disable or change these search keywords? All I appear to be able to do in the search bar settings is disable the auto recommend feature, not the actual hotkeys themselves, and I find them incredibly inconvenient/annoying.
If not, why not?

Is there a way to remove recent bookmarks from the "hamburger menu" (says "Open Application Menu" on hovering)? The bookmarks there seem to only show the most recent bookmarks added and there's no way to organize those or delete them without also deleting the bookmarks from the main bookmarks menu, which can be organized. There should be a way to not show bookmarks that are private bookmarks just because they've recently been added. I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere in support -- though I might not have been searching the right terms. Any and all help would be much appreciated. (Also, apologies if I put this in the wrong category. Wasn't sure what to use.) Thanks!

I would like to set Firefox homepage with a background image. I don't seem to be able to find one anywhere. I am a novice at computer related issues, and require step by step basic help. Surely there must be a way to change the background image, I managed to do it in Chrome but Firefox illudes me. Thanks for any help in advance.

So far I've had some problems, and I'd be thankful for any help I could get.
Firstly, when zoomed in using application menu, the scroll does not adjust the amount scrolled. For example, let's say the standard lines scrolled when i scroll with my mouse is 4. It's still 4 when zoomed in, as if I was still at 100%. This makes it scroll further down than needed, and to a person who likes to read, bothering. I presume there is an solution to this, as this doesn't happen on chrome for me. I tried checking out about:config and change mousewheel.default.delta_multiplier_y from 100 to somewhat lower.
This made all scrolling way too slow, even if only slightly lowered. And the amount scrolled normally isn't the problem, the problem is the amount scrolled does not adjust when zoomed in, still scrolling as if I was on 100% zoom instead of 250% zoom.
Second question, is there a way to change the default zoom percentages. Instead of 100-110-120-150 ect... to 100-120-150-175-200-225-250 and so on.
Thirdly does firefox automatically have tabs sleep when not in use to save ram. If not, where would I activate it?
Thank you for any answers, it's very appreciated.
Please remember my chosen download folder.
Unlike other buttons, extensions (add-on manager) button can not be removed from a toolbar while I customize it. Is there any way to remove it?
I personally don't need it in quick access. Please let me hide it, because it takes extra space on toolbar.

The latest update added persistent "More Tools" and "Extensions" icons on the top right of Firefox. Usually, by clicking "Customize Toolbar" I could remove any annoying icon that I don't want to persistently see, but it would seem that Firefox DISABLED the ability to remove these annoying icons. Please let us continue to customize our own toolbars and allow us to remove unwanted icons.

I am often switching office and change my system default printer always first when I am in a new place. I learned from the community here that the right thing to do for having Firefox/Thunderbird follow this choice is set print_printer to 'default'. The problem is that this does only work for a while. As soon as I use the selection dropdown in the printing dialog (e.g. to exceptionally select the PDF printer) it will overwrite 'default' by that printer. The consequence is that from that time on I have to manually select the printer or got to the config editor again to set 'default'. Is there any simple solution I overlooked?
If not can you tell me how I can make a feature request? A simple solution would be to include something like 'System Default' in the dropdown list in the printing dialog. Although for my taste, it would be better to have the selection in the printer dialog only temporary and return to the previous printer selection for the next printing.
After the latest Microsoft Windows 10 update, the first letter of each word is now bolded. None of the Font settings in Display makes any difference.

As you can see in the attached image of my old Overflow Menu, I had it customized with many buttons/extensions I often accessed throughout each day.
With the advent of FF ver 109, this functional flexibility has been completely lost. Now, there's no way to choose what buttons and to sort them in the Overflow Menu. In my view, an egregious loss of convenience and efficiency.
Please, bring back the full functionality of the previous Overflow Menu!!!

I recently updated to v109. So far, so good. But...
this is on a laptop (being replaced in the next few days) with a rogue keyboard -- some keys barely work, others occasionally go wild. And after a recent session (several days and two reboots after installing 109) in which the keyboard did the latter in the Address Bar, the Status Bar at the bottom has disappeared. And I can't get it back; there's no apparent menu item or setting.
I'd really rather just port this profile to the new machine, but can't if there's no way to reverse this...
Menu item that's buried? Setting? About:config entry?

Hi,
I recently developed a Firefox browser extension using Manifest V3, it's to show coupons & offers on 1000s of online shopping website.
To function properly, the extension needs to have permission for 'Access your data for all websites' ( <all_urls> permission)
During installation, permission prompt does show up, but it doesn't ask permission for 'Access your data for all websites' but ask for other permission.
I have specified this permission in the permissions key in my manifest file. However, when I try to install the extension, It asks for other permission, but not <all_urls> permission: Screenshot at https://i.imgur.com/UiG5Dve.png
After installation, it start working properly only if user has manually granted permission from extension settings https://i.imgur.com/4QWOLOC.png Most users would not know this and may uninstall the extension if permission is not granted prior.
Please suggest the fix.
Here is how my Manifest V3 permission code look like https://i.imgur.com/JmMM3l2.png
I am using Firefox latest version and I have checked with/without any other extensions or add-ons that may be impacting the installation process.
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance in resolving this issue. I believe the permission prompt is crucial for my extension to function properly and I would like to get it working as soon as possible.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
Krishna

After having to refresh Firefox, all extensions are missing from my toolbar. They're still installed and function but some require tweaking options on a per page basis and it's a hassle to have to work through multiple menus when they should just be a click away. From other answers, it seems like the extenstions should be in the customise toolbar page but only the standard options are there. I've tried disabling and enabling them, as well as removing and adding them again already with no results.
How do I either get them back to the toolbar or the customise page so I can add them myself?

My download library window used to display files well over a year old, everything I have saved since the last time I deleted all browser history. "Show all history" does not work. Is there a way to restore that list?

Hi
Running Firefox 71.0 (64 bit)
Well seems Firefox has been messing this up again.
Anyone have the new work around solution to get my tabs back on the bottom again. They were fine this morning then shut down and went out to lunch and when I came back they were back on the top again after months of being where I wanted them below my bookmark bar.
Thoughts on this?
Thanks Dave
