Hello

I've deleted my cookies and other data by mistake. I had a gmail account logged in(meaning when i open gmail, browser doesn't ask password etc.) now after i delete this data, i can't access to my gmail(forgot password and it wasn't connected to any kind of recovery yet. New gmail).

I somehow managed to get my previous firefox data using shadow explorer. when i follow 'Recovering important data from an old profile' guide, it doesn't work. Ex: my old cookies.sqlite file is 1.5MB. when i copy it to new profile i see it is copied. But whenever i open firefox i see cookies.sqlite new size is 96kb and i don't see any old data.

I tried almost everything on this link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile I copied whole folders(both roaming and local). I copied only important files such as login.json or cookies.sqlite etc. Nothing works.

What am i missing here?

I'm on Windows 10 Firefox 87.0 (64 bit). I have two firefox profile. The two prifile sync to my firefox account and have the same addons enabled.

I'm investigating for a cooky of one well defined site

Why I have different cookies for this site depending of the firefox profile active ? ( Of course firefox option cooKies are identical ) ( Of course if I check the cookies.sqlite of the two profile they are different for the same site )

Where I can check to discover this different behaviour ?

Hello,

I got wondering about how I can save cookies from certain websites that I frequent like my e-mail for instance so I wouldn't have to type in my information again and again after clearing the cookies data in Firefox from time to time so it won't slow down or something. I tried putting in the full website address in the Manage Exceptions under Privacy & Security but still see the cookie(s) from that website on the list. Hope I'm making some sense here and that one of you might know something as in how I can get around this. Thank you in advance if you reply to this post.

Directed at the goomers who write the software

So, having been with Firefox since the end of Netscape Navigator... I have had one major irritation that is as follows:

Why is it not possible to simply save a cookie somewhere in a little piggy vault, and forgoing any other setting, and will save that cookie (specifically my banking cookies).

And be able to clear other data when closing the browser without losing said cookie(s)

no need for response, I am not interested in reading another, well, check a, but not b, or if you use r, then uncheck x.... I am not out to recreate a bomb, just wanted to simply get into my bank

Hello,

I have a problem with login on a few selected sites. On some sites I cannot login at all, on other sites I can log in, but as soon as I don't interact with the website for a few seconds the login is lost and the next click on any link shows me a "not logged in"-state.

For example on my companies Outlook Web Access site, when I enter my account info and click on "Sign In", it briefly shows a loading screen and then takes me back to the login site. On another webiste I can log in and use the website without problems, but not clicking anything for more than ~5 seconds leads to the login being lost. The strange thing is: in incognito mode everything works fine on both sites!?

Firefox is 87.0, I have already deleted all cookies and stored data.

I may have to stop using Firefox if I can't resolve this problem

After a few weeks certain Ebay pages start to not display correctly - writing goes small, moves to the left, big black arrows appear, other pages are alright

I know if I clear 'all cookies' it will solve the problem - but then I have to reload passwords etc on all the sites I visit

I've tried

  • switching of tracking protection on the ebay page
  • selecting and deleteing all Ebay cookies under 'managed data'

but neither solve the problem

The only solution I know to work is to clear all cookies - but I really can't be doing this every couple of weeks

What is available to the visited site in Private Browsing in a new window? Private browsing does not save cookies or history, but does it make previously saved cookies and history from un-private browsing available?

I ask because there is advice in a couple of YouTube videos about how to search for keywords to use in your new videos. This advice is that when hunting for potential popular search keywords, using a new private window to do the search will cause YouTube to do an "unbiased" search. That is, it will not be able to look at your YouTube history to determine viewing preferences when it presents you with recommended (auto complete) searches.

(Oops. I just realized I am doing this in a private window. I hope that doesn't matter.)

Thanks, Tom

Hello everyone. Like the title says I am seeing a lot of these type cookies being left over in Ccleaner after I close Firefox. (Please see attached image.) I have had as many as over 300 of these type cookies in Ccleaner so apparently Firefox is not clearing out these types of cookies when I close my browser like it is suppose to do with cookies etc. etc. Could someone shed some light on this whether this is now normal to see these type cookies for websites that I visit and why Firefox does not remove them when I close the browser and if not what can I do to remedy this. I have read that Firefox has enhanced its tracking prevention and was wondering if this could be the result.

I use soundcloud often, and have recently had the issue of the website not being able to load after i launch it the first time. Autofill passwords works fine, it loads with no issue, but then when i try to load it again it's unable to. if i delete the website's cookies i'm able to load into it again, otherwise it just won't work. I've completely cleared out my cache and that helped for a little while but the issue still persists. Is there any known instances of this/ any plugins i can use to always remove the cookies of a specific website, as that may be a viable workaround.

Have upgraded to Firefox 88.0 on Mac. Have also recently cleared history, but have reinstated the web sites where I want my cookies retained.

In the past, I could quit Firefox and when I next boot it, my daily sites like Yahoo and Ebay do not require password log-in since I have "exempted" them from being cleared on the previous Firefox quit.

I do use "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" - but this is where the exceptions should come into play.

Until just recently this all worked fine. Now it does not and am required to re-log in after a fresh boot.

Any suggestions? Thanks. - jr

Can someone please tell me why Firefox has remove Page Info on the right click?

Sense Firefox doesn't have a setting to set all cookies to "Allow for Session", I have been doing it by my self on every page I see. I right click, select Page info, go to permissions then change "Set Cookie" from default, which is "Allow" to "Allow for Session".

I read their update page before I updated, and no where on the page do they mention removing page info and for what reason.

Does anybody have an idea why?
