So long story short...... I deleted my firefox history and cookies, and had the box checked off 'do not remember history' etc. I then restarted my computer and I have CCleaner which runs at start up.

To my dismay I realized I cannot find some of the sites I visited in the past 24 hours through search again and I need to find those sites. My history is empty, and I have no system restore point showing for the past 24 hours in windows 8. Now I've looked in the app data - roaming - folder and found the SQlite file, I installed the reader and the only history that has is from last week and nothing from the past 24 hours. I am confused at this point. I even installed Recuva and do not know which files I am looking for that CCleaner may have picked up. With Recuva, it is only finding the SQLite file from last week.

How can I recover my browsing history for firefox from the past 24 hours given the above scenario? There is no reason I shouldn't be able to since I found data from last week (and CCleaner runs daily on startup).

Thank you

I would like to keep the google search as it is, in terms of using it as the search engine. I do not wish to change that. I would like to reset or clear the search results from the searchbar however on the startup page at about:home. Is that possible and how could I do this? Is it somethings I need to reset in the about.config file? I have already reset the mstone, setting and the results are still there. Thank you so much, for helping me with this issue.

Hi All,

I am working UI Automation. We are using javascript injection for automation. One of the features we need is to ability set / unset cookies.

I am able to set cookie using javascript, but I can't delete / unset a cookie. I am using below script to unset cookie.

document.cookie = 'cookie_name=; path=/; domain=.mycompany.com; expires=Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 GMT';

If I try to alert document.cookie, it shows empty string. However, I can still see the cookie in browser after the javascript execution is complete.

Can someone suggest what I might be doing wrong?

P.S. I am on FF v17.0.3 esr on RHEL 5.

Thanks, Shiv

Firefox 17 is not retaining cookie setting for websites. Besides removing all existing exceptions I had, it will no longer retain exceptions for cookies. I have the basic cookie setting as unchecked for accepting cookies (that is the default is not to accept cookies), but when I add an exception, it does not retain it when I close my browser. This is very serious stuff. I will have to move from my beloved Firefox to something that *does* work. I can't believe you haven't been flooded with complaints. Or maybe you have.

I have been through many threads of similar questions and tried all of the suggestions that worked for everyone else. Google is still not allowing me to access Gmail because "cookies are disabled", even though they're definitely not. I have looked into exceptions, I have removed Google from the cookies list, I have done everything recommended.

I cannot access my email and will soon switch browsers if this is not resolved.
