Seriously Mozilla.

First with ramming AI everywhere in Firefox, now a browser VPN, why?

I do not want a VPN the web browser that I didn't ask for or other features you think people need without asking.

Corporate and business users would not have a bar of this either.

Enough!

Remove this from Firefox please in the next release.

In the meantime, tell users how to disable this VPN via the Settings and "about:config" so this never gets turned on.

I'm getting announcements of a virus threat that purports to come from Mozilla Firefox. Usually one or all three of the attached small windows that say: 1. "Viruses Found. Antivirus notification. via https+++d512ucanaffc739fe48g.cgm-defender.pro" With a Dismiss button. 2. Attention! Click here to secure your data!. via https+++d512ucanaffc739fe48g.cgm-defender.pro" With a Dismiss button. 3. "System Warning!. Click here to remove them! via https+++d512ucanaffc739fe48g.cgm-defender.pro" With a Dismiss button. I have run full scans and offline scans with MS Defender, but these warnings still appear. Is this legit? I suspect these are a virus of some sort. Either way, how do I deal with this?

I have 2 browsers on my computer, Firefox and Edge. Only on Firefox I have gosearch , I have tried many ways to remove this malware from Firefox, do you have any ideas how to remove from my computer? Win 11 64 bit

I am currently getting unwanted popups purporting to be from firefox about virus protection. I know they are fake because they report my McAfee license has expired, and it hasn't. I have McAfee scanning for viruses right now. They are generated over again when I close them; so I can't get rid of them.

I can't delete the malware "Startfenster. I tried to find help with "Google"-Search. Without any success! This malware exists for me in "Firefox" only. Other browsers are not affected. Perhaps anyone can help me... Thank's!

Since last week I am unable to properly use some websites that are failing due to CORS requests, but they were working before. Some examples are es.webuy.com or a local Jellyfin instance. After trying to enable/disable some settings that I thought could be related to the problem, like security levels, I ended up creating a new profile. In this new profile everything works, but as soon as I synchronize my Mozilla account, then these websites start failing again with CORS requests errors.

Any idea about what setting might it be the one causing problems? Or any idea about how can I debug/troubleshoot it myself?

Kaspersky just found this hidden in the Firefox cache folder and the funny part is that I don't even use Firefox that much. I didn't visit any sites on this particular Firefox except Facebook. So, what sort of malware is this? A Trojan stealer or a dropper of some sort? I am running a Full Scan for now and I have uninstalled all the browsers incl Firefox, Chrome. Since this is a Trojan, can this be Dangerous? I scanned it in virustotal and 33 engines were saying malware.

I tried to open to a site WWW.RAFY-A.com this morning and got an alert it was not available, but, I am now unable to dismiss or close the following ATTENTION! messages. I did click on the "click here to secure your data! on the top two now it shows a yellow triangle which I'm still unable to close or dismiss. Could someone please explain how to get rid of these. I ran Dell Support Assist but I do not have a virus option. I have not rebooted yet as I wanted to clear this up first and then reboot. Thank you. Irene

In settings, it says Your browser is being managed by your organization. I clicked it and it led me to the policies page. In there it says Policy Name- Certificates, Policy value- ImportEnterpriseRoots and then true. I neither work in an organisation, nor I have any antivirus in my computer. Why is this happening?

The title. I want to be able to browse while trusting a specific CA certificate, but have the option to browse without it as well. If there is no way to do it, is there a way to toggle whether Firefox trusts a CA without needing to reinstall it every time?

Hello I have an application that shows forms where the input fields are inserted on table columns. When the column contains two fields sometimes the second field is showed not in the same line.

It must be said that the second field is added after the creation of the form.

Whit Chrome and Edge the form is showed correctly. At thislink the behavior can be seen. Thanks

I use Firefox specifically because I appreciate(d) the flexibility and the privacy. Default AI makes it significantly more difficult to customize the browser to my preferences (ie, zero AI anywhere) and threatens the privacy that Firefox is known and recognized for. This is an absolutely incomprehensible decisions; it is no longer a "trustworthy" browser if it incorporates AI. Why ruin a good thing??

I know some underpayed tech or a volunteer who's not getting paid at all is going to read this and not the CEO but my hope is I'm not only one complaining and that if enough people complain your new CEO will realize that the reason most people who use Firefox do is because it's the browser that respects their privacy and security the most. Adding "AI" slop into it will only contribute to bloat and privacy loss, and a lot of people will likely move on to another browser thats faster, more reliable, and less insecure. Don't try to compete with Chrome by becoming Chrome please.

I hope this goes somewhere, like a representative email or something. But I use firefox because it's user and cpu friendly, and it isn't spying on me like Google. I can disable so many analytics and have privacy extensions. Re: your new CEO's intro article, I find it infringing upon my privacy to force AI features on my browser like this. Your primary userbase does not want this.

Regarding the new built in Firefox VPN. If I have Tabs open and Enable the VPN on a New Tab, does it then affect all previously opened Tabs, only the New Tab, only the New Tab and Tabs opened after that initial New Tab, or ? Also, is there a Meter Display or similar so I know how much of the 50GB VPN allotment has been used or is remaining ? Thank you, very kindly ...-- J V
