Hi I've got some top sites pinned to my homepage, but for some reason a decent amount of the icons won't appear even if I change the image url that they're linking to. Is there any way to fix this, I'm a very visual person so having icons makes it much easier to browse

I search for a folder, usually by topic. Perhaps I'm looking for Buicks and find several bookmarks. Now I want to find the folder that it's in to perhaps find more cars. The folder might be CARS, AUTO, VEHICLES or whatever.

How do I search for the FOLDER?

Looking for this solution, I find several answers, none work. The start at the end does not show the folder. There is no way I know of to search for a folder. Help?

I first noticed it when I plugged in my new screen for the first time. It's quite a bit larger than my old one, and I think Firefox doesn't really recognize it.

The specific steps I take to fix it temporarily (per session) are as follows:

Press alt to show the menu bar

Select View > Toolbars > Uncheck Bookmarks Toolbar

Same steps again except to check the Bookmarks Toolbar checkbox again. Then everything is normal.

Interestingly it is never the same amount of bookmarks that aren't shown, always differs by 2 or three before it cuts off and shows just empty space.

I refreshed Firefox today on Firefoxes recommendation and now all my bookmarks are gone. I added the bookmark toolbar to try re-add my bookmarks, but nothing sticks. There is a sentence on the bookmark line saying it would be easier for me if I put bookmarks on the line and a link to manage bookmarks. Nothing sticks to the bookmark toolbar and nothing happens when I click the link. Other than switching to a new browser, which I am now seriously considering, how can I fix this? It took me a long time to get many of the important bookmarks in the folder

By using refresh Firefox to "fix" problems with slowness, I have lost all of my bookmarks and God knows what else. And I can't access the files that were created, all I get is gibberish. Why didn't Firefox inform me that using refresh would fubar ("fouled" up beyond all recognition) my computer? I desperately need to undo the damage caused by using this (dis)service. And how do I contact Firefox to tell them how badly they have screwed me over?

I'm having an issue where I can't see all of my bookmarks or folders after syncing. I am missing a folder that held a lot of bookmarks. When I go to search for specific bookmarks I can find them but I can't see the folder that contains them. It appears as if the folder or folders themselves have been hidden somehow. I only noticied this after signing in to my mozilla account and syncing my bookmarks. It seems there are issues syncing desktop to mobile and mobile back to desktop.

Please help me find my missing bookmarks. Thank you :)

When I want to save a bookmark, I usually go through "choose". It seems to give me folders sometimes only open to the first level, sometimes to second and third levels. This behaviour seems random. I want to see only the top-level folders, it would make saving bookmarks quicker. How to achieve this?

I have the latest version of Firefox operating on Windows 10.

Why do you guys change the show all bookmark shortcut? In next update make it(ctrl+shift+b) the show all bookmark shortcut. At least provide some customization option. I am going to switch if no change comes from your end in the upcoming 2 month period.

I have tried loads of options, ie making a userChrome.css folder, but nothing works.

I have a new laptop with Firefox 84.0.2 installed, but every bookmark is grey. So difficult to look at. Would prefer the old yellow colour.

I want to understand how and why it happens and mostly how can I stop that to happen again. It's really frustrating that I have to keep my computer on 24/7 so I wouldn't lose anything on here...

Hello, I have a problem that keeps randomly occurring. Firefox will "pop", I'll get a message in a typeface that looks like it's 1995, saying that a secure connection can't be made. The firefox logo in my bottom toolbar changes to an very old version of the logo. Then when i reopen firefox, everything has gone, all history, bookmarks, favorites.. I'm running Mac 0s mojave 10.14.6 No folder with previous firefox info shows up on my desktop. It's just game over.

If I can't find a solution, it's time to look for another browser as this is now unworkable. Any help gratefully received. Thank you!

My Bookmarks folders somehow have been duplicated many times. Don't know how to fix it. I need to remove all but the original set of bookmarks but can only do one at a time. There are hundreds if not thousands if them. How can I get rid of all but one set? Thanks!

Attempting to find some HELP period is next to impossible using this setup as you have it set. Finally found what was said to be a "SOLUTION" and it did NOT work for my setup, NO HELP at all! I also posted a possible work around for the additional issues with that one problem with the "Other Bookmaks" as it will NOT allow me to DELETE that folder. On top of this issue, every now and then that "Other Bookmarks" duplicates itself and I have had eighteen or more copies of that folder, if any one of those extra copies is removed they are all removed including the one copy that cannot be removed is "STRIPPED" of any saved bookmarks within that folder.

I recommended that anyone with this issue to create a special bookmark folder to save any bookmarks within that "Other Bookmarks" folder before removing any of the copies and save your bookmarks from that "Other Bookmarks" folder. Now I cannot find my original posting to see if there are any updates. When doing what you call a search for FIREFOX only still comes up with over 2K entries and cannot take the time to review them all. This system is a NIGHTMARE to use to find anything. When I add a bookmark Firefox puts it in either "Other Bookmarks" or "Bookmarks Menu". Having to hunt in two places for new bookmarks is infuriating. How do I get the programmers to add an option in about:config to remove or disable "Other Bookmarks" so that new bookmarks are just added to "Bookmarks Menu" like they should in a normal world?

Somehow Other Bookmarks drop down menu was added to bookmarks toolbar - how can I remove it?

It was never there before. I arrange my Bookmarks Toolbar so that only the icons are in the toolbar. Somehow the Other BookMarks drop down menu has appeared on the right end of the bookmarks toolbar after the overflow double arrow. 

I tried everything to delete it but it remains there. It's taking a lot of space on the toolbar and I dislike it.

An "Other Bookmarks" labeled icon mysteriously appeared on my Bookmarks Toolbar. It sits just beyond/ to the right of the double overflow arrows. It's still in its normal place when I open the bookmarks, but that link sits there, taking up space. (It was never there before this evening.)

How do I remove it from that position? Can I simply delete the link? Or will that delete the entire Other Bookmarks folder/ the bookmarks within it?

How did it get there? How can I prevent its return? Please note my User Name when replying. Tech-speak is a foreign language which I have never studied.
