I cannot open subsidiary pages in my CIBC account after spending ten minutes to get into the account page because there are so many levels of protection. Once I am in I should be able to go from page to page easily.

For the love of God. Effective yesterday, why can I no longer open a new tab in Firefox browser on a Windows laptop? Is this a bug or was it an intentional update to delete the visible 'open a new browser' plus (+) icon, and make it elusive, frustrating, and impossible to open a new tab? I found a workaround (right click and select the new "New Tab to Right" option from the list of drop down options), but this circumvention is mindboggling and inefficient at best. Please help. One of the things I have loved about the Mozilla organization for the last nearly 20 years of using Firefox has been the organization's dedication to make internet browsing simple and safe for users. Replacing the 1 step 'open a new browser' plus (+) icon with a 3 step right click move is the opposite of simple. Please troubleshoot.

With the latest updates (FF Dev Ed 131.0b9 and FF release 130.0.1) for iMac (OS 14.7), my browser has become jerky when using the directiion keys and even the delete when I hold the key down. If I just keep pressing it quickly, it seems OK. I can't see any setting that changes this and I don't have it with Safari. What is going on?

For some reason fire fox will not download for me to install on my iMac. I have been trying multiple ways to get it to down load. It simply stops midstream and will not finish so that I can install on my iMac. IOS is Monteray.

How do I turn off the caption box. I can't find it anywhere in my controls. Also scrolling has been affected and works poorly. Is this a virus? I never changed any settings to enable this intrusion.

Hi! I'm developing a web extension. I managed to install it via about:debugging "temporary extensions", and I can see the extension icon under the "puzzle button" in the toolbar.

I now want to pin it to the toolbar, it will save me a click when I'm trying to test things live.

When I click the puzzle button, there is no "pin to toolbar" option for the temporary extension, although I can see it for the extensions installed from the marketplace.

Is there a way to allow pinning for the extensions installed for debugging? Maybe an option in "about:config"?

I am signing into my Mozilla account on a new computer with a clean Firefox install. I'm able to get into my account using an authorization code to my email, but Firefox Sync isn't working so no bookmarks/passwords/history/etc. I have a persistent "account disconnected" with a yellow triangle icon. Upon clicking through, I see "Please sign in to reconnect [my email address]" with a sign in button. Signing in does nothing. What's really strange is that my other Mozilla account works fine, which leads me to believe this is an account issue—except that I've synced this account across several devices already.

Piszę z sugestią, aby przy następnych aktualizacjach wprowadzili Państwo możliwość blokowania fraz w wyszukiwarkach, zwłaszcza tych kierujących do stron dla dorosłych. Chodzi mi o to, aby wpisując słowo np. "sex" w Google, czy na innych portalach z wyszukiwarką, takich jak YouTube, Facebook itp., Firefox od razu blokował stronę, wykrywając słowo wpisane na listę do natychmiastowego blokowania. Kontrole rodzicielskie i dodatki skupiają się głównie na blokowaniu całych stron www, co sprawia, że niektóre strony obchodzą te blokady, tworząc różne wersje nazewnictwa (co sprawie, że programy są skuteczne w max. 80%). Na przykład, strona xxx może mieć kilka wersji nazwy, jak xhamster. W efekcie programy lub dodatki blokują główną stronę, ale wersje z alternatywnymi nazwami już nie.

Stąd moja propozycja, aby była możliwość wpisania listy blokowanych fraz. Gdy dana osoba wpisze zablokowane słowo np. wspomnianą frazę "sex" w wyszukiwarce, przeglądarka powinna odmówić jakiejkolwiek operacji. Proszę o rozważenie tej ważnej z punktu widzenia bezpieczeństwa propozycji. Jeśli mają Państwo możliwość zaproponowania blokowania fraz już teraz, proszę o instrukcje. Będę wdzięczny za pomoc. I would like to be able to see a history list of ALL pages AS VISITED. For example, I will go to search engine and enter say "mozilla". I will click on an item that comes up, then back to the search. Click on another item in the search page, then back to the search, etc, etc. However the "history" in firefox does not list the visits back to the search engine, why not?? How can I get a complete history list of sites as visited? I need this so I can get back to the search where I was last when I visit one of those annoying sites such as "https://inacal.isolutions.iso.org/obp/ui#!iso:std:iso:8124:-1:ed-5:v1:en" which somehow blocks the back button. Actually that is another question, how can we stop sites from disabling the back button?

Hello and thank you for being here. I have been a Firefox user for many years. It is my preferred browser. I also use YouTube a lot. Recently, when I go to YouTube home page I get video suggestions but no search bar to search for vids. If I click on one of the videos and bring one up then the YouTube search bar appears above that video. However, this is a deal breaker for me. I am not willing to take that extra step every time I want to search for a particular video. If I open up YouTube in the Chrome browser I get the search bar which is great but pisses me off as I feel that Google has forced me to use their browser. I pay for YouTube Premium and I will cancel it if I cannot resolve the problem of the missing search bar in Firefox. I have added no extensions since well before this problem has occurred and I have searched the web for a solution to no avail. If anyone has a suggestion for how to resolve this It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was trying to fix a printing problem I was having and stupidly re-set Firefox. I lost all of my bookmarks, settings, etc. I un-installed it because the look was so different I thought maybe I could get back what I had lost if I re-installed. Well, that didn't work. Now I have nothing - no bookmarks (which are extremly important), no nothing. Please help!

I want to make Mozilla stop the black pop ups giving me a bunch of information I don't need on my desktop. If I have to go to another browser I will but I like Firefox but I don't like the pop ups.

For the past 2 weeks Firefox has been repeatedly crashing soon after going on to certain sites or trying to apply my 2FA authenticator add-on.

Suddenly there's a screen shudder and a new window opens, inviting me to submit a crash report. See attached image.

I do not believe that this is down to Ubuntu 24.04 upgrade done at end of August.

But it's enough for me to largely go over to Chromium and Firefox Dev Ed.

If Mozilla don't act on this crashing I can see its market being lost fairly fast.

I was setting up a new (desktop) device with sync, and was shocked to realize, that some items are missing from the passwords and settings. It seams like we are in a state of some months in the past. I have checked the about:sync-log and I see a lot of lines like this "WARN DATA LOSS: Both local and remote changes to record".

How is this possible? Can I do something to restore my latest data?

When I use the back button on my mouse or if I scroll using the wheel, it will randomly hit right click, opening that menu when i have not touched the right mouse button. I have tried other browsers and games.. it is not my mouse. This only began happening in the last 24 hours.

When I try to login to some of my web accounts Firefox presents several user IDs for that site and some of them are the result of past typos. What do I need to do to delete those erroneous IDs?

Hello, I've gone through numerous posts on recovering browsing history and tabs in Firefox, but nothing has worked so far. I had two Firefox windows open with over 80 tabs (I know, not ideal!), but I manage several businesses and had important data in those tabs that I really can't afford to lose.

I’m looking for a Firefox expert who can help me recover my old tabs and browsing history, but I haven’t been able to find any paid experts. I’m using a Mac, and unfortunately, my Time Machine wasn’t backed up, so that's not an option.

I’ve already checked under the profiles and tried everything I could find, but is there a way to recover corrupted or deleted files? For context, Firefox stopped working properly (I think I messed it up while trying to fix it)—it would open but remain unresponsive—so I had to reinstall a fresh version. Is there any hope of recovering my history, and where can I find an expert to assist with this?
