Hello there. We are developing website to configure our device. Webserver apache2 is configured to use Basic Authetication. So here is my issue. I have about 500 tabs open on my Firefox browser. Whenever I need to restart my computer, I close my session, restart, reopen Firefox and it loads my entire session no problem. The neat thing about this is that when I do this, the tab title (along with the website icon) is preserved but the actual page only reloads when I switch to that tab. For example, imagine I have a YouTube video titled "Programming in Python", the tab would say "Programming in Python - YouTube" with the YouTube logo to the left of the title. There is definitely some kind of cache magic going on because say if that video was taken down on YouTube, the title would still be preserved until I switch to that tab. In my latest reloaded session, I noticed that tabs #250-500 failed to load the tab title and instead show the website URL with the icon I attached below. Is there any way to reload these tab titles without actually refreshing the page manually one by one (kinda like how Firefox does it on startup)? This is kinda how I navigate and it isn't helpful seeing just a URL.

Now, to close all tabs or tabs on the right, you need to do 2 clicks and use the drop-down menu, which is very inconvenient. All this appeared in a recent Firefox update. I ask you to return everything back. Google Chrome made the same change recently and it was met very negatively.

According to he description of “pinned tabs” (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pinned-tabs-keep-favorite-websites-open):

“Pinned Tabs are small, can't be closed accidentally and open automatically when you start Firefox.”

Unfortunately, this is no true. Often, I find that my pinned tabs end up moved to another window. I cannot say why it happens, but it certainly does, and often. I suspect it is related to dragging the mouse when I am trying to click. I am disabled, and sometimes my attempt to click results in some dragging. If you drag a pinned tab off the left edge of the window, it moves the pinned tab to a new window and unpins the tab. At this point, it is quite easy to accidentally close the tab, and the tab will no longer be automatically opened when Firefox is started.

It should not be so easy to drag a pinned tab to a new window. This behavior should be changed.

Today my PC switched off after an accidental power disconnection. Previously if such an event would happen, upon restart Firefox would ask if I want to restore previous session after "a crash" (also showing a sad bear icon) and i would restore my previous session successfully. Alternatively, I would manually press the "restore previous browsing session" button in the menu (if not prompted automatically to do so upon starting Firefox). However, today, after the disconnection, when I tried starting Firefox, it first ran some update before opening up and didn't give me the window asking if I want to restore previous browsing session. The button for restoring previous browsing session manually in the menu was also greyed out. Somehow the option/preference to restore previous session seems to have been unselected (but not by me!)... I have already tried working with some solutions I found through Google searches about this problem and posted on this forum (including working with previous.js - a file which I can not find) but I haven't been successful though I am not sure if I was getting everything stated right. In the sessionstore-backup folder I could only find recovery.js and recovery.bak files only, nothing else, despite folder settings being set to show hidden files. I must note though that my browsing history is still there, and again, having already opened my Firefox once, I have not closed it again so it's still running on the first instance (currently on the latest version of Firefox) after the crash/restart/update/failed-restore-of-previous-browsing-session...I hope that's hopeful :(

Please help, I had critical stuff I was working on through multiple tabs over the past "few months" and it would be a nightmare to try and comb through the history to restore it piece by piece considering that it shows even the stuff I had closed and was no longer working with...restoring the session would greatly help  :(

The latest update placed Close Tabs to the Right and Close Other Tabs in a submenu. To me this is a confusing change as I now need more clicks to achieve the same thing.

Also I feel that the context menus are too crowded in Firefox. I suggest a padding between the items.

Middle-click to open in new tab is wildly inconsistent, even on the same link on the same site in the same session. I'd say it works about 10% of the time after the recent 78.0.1 update. I verified my mouse's middle-click operation at https://www.onlinemictest.com/mouse-test/, so I know the middle-clicks are registering and the problem is with Firefox.

When I create a tab by clicking on a link, normally the tab will open to that link after a small delay. But some tabs just sit there, seemingly dead to the world. I've tried refreshing by hitting enter, or when possible (which it usually isn't) the refresh button on the taskbar, but nothing happens.

If I create a new tab, and cut and paste the link from the old one to the new one, usually the new one will open right away (after the usual delay). Meanwhile, the old one just sits there.

This has happened before (in much earlier versions of Firefox) in a small percentage of cases, but it is now happening with some frequency. I am currently using version 78.0.1 (64-bit).

Firefox 78.0.2. In the address bar, when it is opened, there are addresses in the list of suggested addresses that I need to delete. Previously, I could just hover over a tab, press the delete key, and the corresponding address will be deleted. But since some time everything has changed and now nothing can be done there. I looked at the Firefox FAQ and found that you need to delete such addresses using shift+delete, but this also does not work. I've been trying to do this all day, but I can't do it. How do I do this? Why do such simple things cause such difficulties now? It used to be a very convenient browser.

On start up, a tab opens to an advertising tab of Simple spider solitaire advertising this game that I already have as a download to my pc for a very long time. This is very annoying since I already have many tabs open to work in to reminding me of my project. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now. Why am I having a game advertising itself and it is the tab that I see immediately. I would like that adverting to stop. I love having the tabs I need available on start up but not ads.

This is the tab that opens to this address automatically: https://pages.pubfinity.com/randomsaladgames/spider/welcome.

Is there an easy solution? I am not too savy with pc stuff. Or is this an issue you need to know about? Thank you for your time, Unhappycamper
