I just installed the new Firefox version (131.0.2) and the installation gave me a new desktop lnk (the old one is still on the desktop). The new link (to an .exe file in "C:...\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firefox\browser") starts the new version of Firefox in its newborn virgin state, i.e., EVERYTHING from my previous version is missing.

The old link (which points to an identical .exe file in a completely different directory "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser" with same date stamp as the .exe file mentioned above) when executed results in an error message: Platform version '131.0' is not compatible with

                                                                                              minVersion >= 131.0.2
                                                                                              maxVersion <= 131.0.2

NOTE: The files in each of these two directories appears to be identical. I really want my old profile back.

The article update 2 days ago indicates that there are three vertical dots to the right of the URL address filed that can be used to add a website to home screen...mine doesn't have the three dots...my browser is up to date

After your most recent update, a tab preview is now displayed when hovering the mouse over background tabs. I don't like it at all and want to delete/remove/stop it, but can't find any way to do it. Please help.

I am unable to use my bill pay with my bank using Firefox browser. However, I am able to use it logging on with Microsoft Edge. What has changed with Firefox recently? This has only become a problem as of today.

Hi, I am reporting that videos on Ebay do not play correctly when using Firefox. I am a business seller on ebay and have just spent £900 on a professional product video for our 1000s of listings. I have used Firefox as my browser for many years. However I have discovered that when viewing product videos on ebay on a laptop/desktop, the videos are significantly reduced in size for 3 or 4 seconds with part of a dialogue box showing and then suddenly increases in size (still not full size though). Very unprofessional looking, very glitchy, very ugly. It would discourage sales rather than encourage them. Please investigate and fix asap. I have noticed that automatic translate feature translates hidden form values as you can see in first image (value="Prawziva prawda").

In Chrome automatic translate does not translate hidden values, as you can see in second image (value="true").

Is this by design or is it some kind of bug?

question, if 128.3.1esr.exe is supposed to be good until mar25, why is it telling me i need win 10 when i try loading? i'm trying to stay as far away from windows as i possibly can, but unfortunately i had to reload win7 because the downloads i need for linux are being difficult with only 3 months of experience. i don't need your security, or what microsoft pretends is security. i have no intention of relying on windows, i just need to be able to download the programs to create bootable os's for my crypto miners, those are debian based. because from what i've learned so far, i just like linux better.

I followed your instructions but they did not work. Specifically, I clicked on "Exceptions" after "Ask to save passwords," next to which I had clicked the box. Under exceptions, I put the URL for my bank. I clicked on "Block" and "Save Changes." Nevertheless whenever I go to my bank's log in page, it still autofills my user ID and password. (Yesterday I accidentally clicked the box when signing in to my bank's web page "Save User ID." Even though it only referred to my User ID, it now autofills both that and my password.

Also, even though there is a (non-working) Exceptions page for Saved Passwords, there is no such page for Saved User IDs.

Btw, when I used another browser to sign in to my bank's website, it did not autofill, so it's not the bank's software that is autofilling.

For some reason the Firefox browser just keeps crashing over the last few days spontaneously and I'm looking for solutions on how to problem solve this. I'll open a few broswer tabs and anywhere from 1 to 60 mins later it'll just crash and ask me to restore. It probabaly does it 10-15x per hour now.

I cannot open the Mozilla download page. It seems not to download anything, as I m taken to the error page (see image).

I read a support thread on the issue but I could not understand, it seems like an issue that requires previous knowledge, and I think it should be easy for old, loyal users of Mozilla to have a simple solutions for access to Mozilla site, with... Mozilla browser!

It started to happen yesterday, so far I never had such difficulty.

Suddenly I can't see the New Tab option. My bookmarks are also disappear form the bookmarks bar. I can't bring it back from the bookmark option. What is the problem?

Just today my UI elements went missing. For example I cant see my bookmarks on the bookmark toolbar, new tab sign disappeared. Addons are not the issue, I have refreshed multiple times with no addons installed. The bookmarks are all there, except somethings messing with the firefox. Started in safe mode, but in vain. Checked the group policy in the registry but nothing out of the ordinary. I deleted the policy, did a fresh install and still the problem persists. Tried switching hw acceleration on/off as well.

Any help is appreciated, I never had any problems with firefox before.

Everytime I restart my PC and open firefox the window has reverted to some default configuration. The new tab button is gone, the forward and back buttons are on the right hand side (usually they are on the left), and the bookmarks window is gone. I can then "refresh firefox" to have it revert to the correct setup.

Is there a way to stop this from happening. I restart my PC often, it would be nice for firefox to not do this

After downloading and installing, I get Error Msg: Platform version 131.0 is not compatible - etc.
