Calendar has 22 categories and an option to add Custom Categories. However, any custom categories I have added whilst editing an entry only seem to get saved in that entry, not in the list. If I need to use that category again I have to enter it again - every time! It seems logical to me that adding a category means it gets to stay in the list and I'd also expect that it would then be sorted apha-numerically.

Is it possible to edit the category list somewhere in FF?

It used to be that, when I minimize a window in Firefox, there would be a Firefox icon for each window in my dock (the row of icons at the bottom of my Mac screen). When I would open Firefox, all windows would show up there; when I'd quit Firefox, the icons for the windows would disappear (leaving only the main icon for the app in my dock).

I just got a new computer (Macbook Air M2, in case that makes any difference) and I can't figure out how to make this work like it used to. Now, when I minimize a window, it just retreats to the main Firefox icon in the dock, and if I want to click on it or any other minimized window again, I need to right click on the icon and select a window from the list there, which really gets in the way of my work flow. I can't figure out how to set it like it used to be. Help!

Bonus question: The other thing I've always wanted to do, that seems like it should be possible but I don't knwo if it is — to name a window. So like, I could have a window named "Travel info" and one named "Project X" etc, so it would show the name I gave the window, rather than whatever tab happens to be currently showing, and I could see at a glance what's in the window. If there's any way to do this I'd love to know.

Recently converted to Firefox.

I routinely receive images from one sender that has a banner that renders two to three times the screen width no matter the screen size.

This issue doesn't occur on the Gmail Mobile app only while viewing Gmail on Firefox (The issue is not resident in Chrome).

I installed firefox and am trying to open the Vegas World sign in app and it's doing nothing in the tab, it will not come up. I'm so confused and technically challenged

Cannot enter URL in the address book. When I hit return nothing happens. This happens even with no extensions installed, however, it works in a private window.

Any advice?

I'm trying to develop a mtls based login, currently on macos. I have a certificate chain with 3 certificates (CA->intermediate->leaf).

Firefox prompts to select a certificate, but only the leaf is sent to the server. However when I try it on Safari all 3 are sent.

It tried both non-trusted ca and trusted ca, but I can't get it to work.

Is it something in the certificate definition? Maybe a flag I need to toggle in FF?

Until recently, I was able to print and create PDF from Mozilla browser. I can only create a PDF if I select the printer option Microsoft to PDF. For the past few weeks or so every time I try to do so the following gibberish appears in a notebook. See below:

On the Firefox mobile app, when I look at the screen with open page thumbnails, they are blank. And when I tap one of them, I only get a blank page. iPhone SE 2nd gen., iOS 16.3.1

In about:config, I see two settings for controlling the minimum amount of time for DNS cache expiration: network.dnsCacheExpiration and network.dnsCacheExpirationGracePeriod. What is the difference between them? They are both set to 60 seconds by default.

Since past few years, I use Firefox for the peace of mind... But never get that.

Every now and then many sites are not supported properly.... And it severely gives now headache....

Please somebody help reach this message to original developers and not community... I'm fed up of this.

Many developers also fed up of Mozilla... and stay away from updating add-ons or extensions... I literally felt helpless many times...

For the past three days I've been unable to get Firefox to load quickly as it used to before the last update. The last time this happened the problem was conflict with my security software System Mechanic. That problem was taken care of. This time I tried rebooting the computer, turning off all my add-ons, safe mode...nothing worked.

I'm using Win 10 64 bit. Can you help?

On Mac OS 13.2.1, if I make a window full screen in one display (my Macbook screen for instance), all other Firefox windows have a grey-ed out yellow button for minimizing and I can't use the shortcut CMD+M as normal. This does not happen if I use full screen windows in multiple "desktops" on one display, but as soon as I split Firefox across two displays and full screen at least one window, all the others can no longer be minimized.

Unlike some older issues, I can still see the close, minimize, and maximize buttons but the middle minimize button is disabled as if every window were set to full screen mode.

I have used Firefox for many years, on a Windows 10 64 bit desktop with DuckDuckGo Search engine. Two websites I subscribe to will not let me use firefox to sign in using Firefox. However Microsoft Edge allows me to sign in. WHY do I have a problem using Firefox?

Do some of my settings need to be changed?

PS Also why is it so difficult finding the version # ? this used to be using the about option and I can't find that anymore.

I have two homes in different states. Both have Mac computers. I would like to have both Firefox and Thunderbird be the same on both with the same files and same bookmarks, passwords etc.

I now go into the Library and copy files to a thumb drive when I am at home, and bring the thumb to my cabin. My problem is that I do not know which specific files to copy and bring and replace.

Can someone please inform me which files to copy for a seamless transition between both machines?
