Firefox update today 1-14-26 says Restore FF with a backup file" Instructions say go to Settings/Sync/Backup/Manage Backup. My Sync has no Backup option, only shows: Sync Manage account Device Name Syncing: ON You are syncing these items across all your connected devices: Bookmarks Open tabs Add-ons Settings Connect another device . How to proceed?

(I don't recall setting Syncing to "On" before; it also showed me as automatically logged in to my account.) Assistance appreciated! Thanks!

I am unable to follow instructions for activating Backup in Firefox. I don't even have a Manage Backup button. What I have in its place is:

With the update I lost everything, bookmarks, passwords, extensions, and themes that extensions gave me.... LIKE WTF did you do? I need to get all my stuff back as it was, just on the extension that let's you create a theme, took me an entire day and maybe more to be done, and by day I mean more than 24 hours, now I don't even got my history, bookmarks, NOTHING!!!! I need my stuff as it was, I will be waiting for a response, a proper response on how to get all back, if not please let me know so I could move to another browser like Brave... I spend a considerable amount of time in Mozilla and all the features, all gone, and because of this I didn't switch to Brave

Exactly what it says on the tin. help?? it still has autofill for my emails and stuff, i didnt do anything weird my computer just went dead while firefox was running. please send help i left all my stuff on google and i dont wanna have to work to get them back.

I only have one profile, the default one , I clicked something ; Firefox closed and when I opened it again I had to create a profile again , and everything I had, bookmarks history, was lost . How can I recover it , or go back to the first default profile, why is it even possible to exit firefox in any way and not be able to go back where you were.

please help, i did the FF security update and lost everything! i have no passwords or bookmarks please send me a link or something to recover to last weeks version of FF this is driving me crazy.

Once again I have experienced that my Bookmarks disappeared. Some months ago, I had a HTML backup made, for easy Import. Now I started out by shutting down Firefox, followed by a restart. That worked last time (without import) This time it did no change. I shut down Firefox, and restarted the PC....... no change. (without import) Then I shut down Firefox and restarted the PC. Opened Firefox, and wanted to import the Bookmarks from the HTML file. The system comes up with a message stating that the file does not contain any bookmark references. ( Opening the HTML file using Firefox, reveals that all bookmarks are there, and can be used ) I uninstall Firefox, and re-install it . Flw. I try the import once again, using the HTML file...... to no avail. What am I missing here ?? My final option appears to be moving the bookmark one by one.. rather time consuming.

My desktop Dell windows11 lost History and bookmarks a few days ago and I asked for help yesterday afternoon and was successful in restoring them. when I turned on my PC this morning the History and bookmarks along with forefox browser were gone again.

I seem to have lost all of my bookmarks & i have tried to Import and backup / restore in manage bookmarks tab but all i get is a message "unable to process the backup file" plus when i tried to bookmark a web page by clicking on the Star bookmark icon nothing happens now for some reason. Was there an update as this only just started around 2 days ago
