Hello, I’ve been increasingly frustrated over the past few weeks with your browser, which I prefer over all the others, because it keeps crashing constantly. I’ve tried several small fixes suggested by IT professionals, such as clearing the cache, running an antivirus scan, and deleting my browsing history, but the issue persists with no improvement. At this point, my last option seems to be uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but I’m concerned about losing my bookmarks. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue? M. I've used Firefox for 20 years through the various iterations of Windows, and have been using it trouble free on Windows 11 since November 2024. Two days ago, however, When I tried to open the Guardian site (www.theguardian.com) it would open very slowly and not load and of the pictures. This gradually got worse, the site taking for ever to open at all, and always with the little dot in the tab at the top left going from side to side showing it was still loading. I have tried everything I can think of. Opened in troubleshoot mode, changed DNS settings, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice (one time to see if it would work normally if I didn't actually sign in to my account). All to no avail. In fact now things are worse, in that the GOV.Uk website is now giving me similar problems - and a few other sites have become slightly slow and reluctant to open as well. My internet connection seems fine, and all these sites open without any trouble on Microsoft Edge. I am NOT very good at tech, and I am now tearing my heair out as to what I can try next.

Any help wopuld be gratefully received!

First, please explain the relationship among Firefox, Mozilla and DuckDuckGo. Second, how to make Firefox open when compuetr starts. Third, how to make DDGo the search engine. Finally, how to delete email contacts. I have been doing some, but others show a red triangle and say "cannot delete this". My browser stopped loading certain pages, like Instagram, Facebook, and Amazon. Caches are cleared, extensions are disabled, tried service mode. Other browsers seem to have no problem loading these sites. What can be the problem?

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? I'd like to try the new Firefox VPN, but I can't find the icon to turn it on, not even when I customise the toolbar. I searched several times. I know the VPN is available in my region (the Firefox browsers at work all have the VPN icon), but once I enter my email and password for my Mozilla Firefox account, the icon disappears. What should I do?

Been using Firefox for over a decade. But lately is has become so slow now. Often freezes up if more than two tabs are open or a website is in any way very complex. What settings and issues should I check? What has changed? I can run the same sites on Brave and Edge browsers with no issues or not nearly as slow and bogged down.

I have just setup a new desktop computer which has the latest versions of Firefox and AVG Free.

Firefox is not working properly, sometimes not completely loading pages, images or is not loading pages at all.

If I disable the AVG Web Shield Setting “Enable QUIC/HTTP3 scanning” then Firefox behaves normally.

The build of AVG Free is 26.3.10886.974 and the version of Firefox is 149.0.2.

Bookmarks in Firefox disappeared and cannot import my Bookmarks backup. I have tried to restore an older Bookmark file through /manage bookmarks/ import and backup/restore to no avail. thank you

After updating to Firefox 147.0.3 all of my browser history (along with open tabs at the time of updating) is lost. I just updated to Windows 11 workstations (plus a couple of older Windows 10 workstations) to the current (Feb 2026) updates too. However the history data was lost before the Windows updates. I noticed that with the previous update of Firefox that saved login information was also lost. Who is doing your program updates, a chimp?

In the past when an update was done the browser would open back up with all of the previous versions session tabs in tact. But not now.

I've lost several tabs of research that was being done. Based on what has been happening, I will HAVE to change to some other browser. This is a shame as I've been a loyal Firefox user since day one. Good bye Mozilla and Firefox.

Yesterday, 50% of my bookmarks were deleted and now I can't bookmark anything. I tried to restore my bookmarks to several previous dates, but I received the following message each time:

Unable to process the backup file.

I tried to bookmark different websites and no bookmarks are saved now. I updated to the latest Firefox today and no change.

I recently bough a new computer and transferred all my data, passwords and bookmarks to it. Each time I opened my mozilla browser I was encouraged to create a profile , but each time I just continued without creating a profile. Finally today I was not given an option to proceed without creating a profile so I did. But now all my passwords and bookmarks have disappeared. When I try to find them I am advised to load my previous profile but this is not an option the only profile I have is the one I just created with the missing data. Can you please tell me where the appropiate files are stored and how can I recover them. Thanks

Firefox stopped loading yahoo and aol. It keeps telling me that it might be because Im not accepting cookies but I turned it on. Im able to load the pages through Google and Duck Go. I'm getting ready to delete Firefox if I can't get it working, which would be a shame.
