Hi everyone.

At first there was no synch between windows and linux. After consulting existing help articles I set a master password on both OS. This has lead to the linux information being successfully synched to the windows system but not vice versa.

Sorry that I' not tech savvy enough to have listed any more information here. I'm using ubuntu and windows 8.

To be honest I don't use windows anymore but need the saved login details on ubuntu.

I was just looking at my Firefox Account. When I looked at the Devices & apps area I was a little shocked.

I would like to know what device this is please, Web Session, Chrome Mobile 83.

I can see options for Adding a device, Removing a device, but no where can i find to be able to look and see the device details like IP address etc, that other browser providers do.

Can you please provide me with the details, as I have no idea what this is and would like to know.

Last night Firefox updated automatically and the new version requires signing in to the Firefox account to transfer any passwords, bookmarks, and history. Of course my password for Firefox is in the Firefox passwords folder. If I reset the password my data will be destroyed for "security reasons." I have important passwords and bookmarks that will cost me days of time to replace and some that can never be replaced. Is there some way to get this data back? Why was there no warning that this was going to happen? I now find that there is a process to protect the old data after it is too late to use it. What idiot implemented this system without telling the users it was going to happen and how to make sure their data wasn't lost?

Recently I am unable to log in to FireFox Sync from my desktop. I am using an older version of FireFox so I am wondering if support for older versions of FireFox was recently dropped? If this is the case where can I find details of what versions were dropped from FireFox Sync support.

Hi, I have several systems and I'd like to disable web notifications in all of them. I thought I can achieve that with synchronization feature but even though 'sync options' checkbox is checked, some settings are not syncing, eg. 'Block Notification requests' or 'Check if Firefox is default browser' or disabling automatic updates.

Is there a way to sync those options automatically so I don't have to click them out by hand everywhere?

Hello, I recently performed a factory reset on my computer and after I installed firefox and loged in on my account all of the sync items don't seem to appear.

Despite this I can still see my desktop bookmarks on my phone (under Desktop Bookmarks > Other Bookmarks) and history too

Hi, I have a suggestion, more than a question. It would be very nice to have the possibility of choose which group of items (Passwords, Open Tabs, etc) you want to sync in each browser installation we have, or at least by browser "flavour" (i.e. "normal" FF or Developer Edition). For example: I like to have my "normal FF" configured in Bright Theme but I like the Developer FF in Dark theme. But another more useful example would be: It's nice to have all my passwords on my home computer's Firefox, but I definitely don't want to have them on my workplace's computer (and I wouldn't want to have to give up having all the other useful Sync features).

If you change any of these checkboxes, that action propagates across *all* of your browsers. I think they should behave independently and affect just the browser you're setting them on.

I just migrated to linux and I've been trying to recover all the stuff I'm used to on windows. The first thing is of course the browser with all my favorite extensions and obviously bookmarks. The first problem was that I had to use password recovery to login into my Firefox account. But when I tried it, there was no option to use the sync recovery key. And from what I understand mine was old (different format). I logged in and setup the sync anew. Before this there was no problem jumping from one windows version to another. I never needed to recover my sync profile. I just logged in and it worked.

So here's the question. Did I just lose all my synchronized stuff or is there still a chance for recovery?

I have just had to reinstall WINDOWS 10 on my computer.

In the process of doing this I forgot that I had 2-Step Verification switched on in the Firefox account (that I'm now locked out of), so when I downloaded Firefox and installed it again, I then went to log into my account to sync the numerous add-ons and bookmarks I'd saved over years.

Anyway, long story short, I missed entering the 2-step code and now it seems that I'm locked out of that account? And, I have tried many ways to access the account, without success.

Now, I don't have any 10 digit recovery codes and (see the attached image) any time I attempt to get a confirmation link via email NOTHING turns up in my inbox.

In short, I have no idea what to do here or what my options are?

Is there anyone here who can save me a great deal of grief and help me get back into my original Firefox Sync account. I would be enormously grateful to anyone who can help me sort this out.

I forgot my firefox account password, so when I tried to log in to a new mozzila to access my previous bookmarks and passwords, I requested a new password. I logged in with the new password, but it doesn't sync my data. I have no history, no bookmarks, no passwords. How can this problem be solved?

Hello, I just resetted my pc, and when I logged in with my Firefox Account, it didn't syncronize anything...I had nothing in it as it was a completely new account! Why? I remember I did something similar many months ago, but when I logged with my account, it did restore every data by itsellf, from bookmarks to extensions and addons (it even put the corrent theme I had at that time!). Why did I lose everything this time? Fortunately, before resetting I did backups of everything, so I didn't really loose everything (I was just lucky!), but I don't understand how this syncro thing should work... So, just to check more deepfully if it was me (xD) or what, I downloaded the app Firefox on my android device and logged in with my account (on the pc I had done already the syncro). Guess what? No data, again. Why??? What's the problem? Please help me T___T

I had to re download Firefox as our business installed a new server. I have it all downloaded and ready but I can't get the logins/passwords/bookmarks I had previous to new server.
