I want it to troubleshoot my computer freezing with every web browser, so i decided to install firefox in another drive with more space in my computer, so before uninstalling firefox i decided to make an account to save all my bookmarks in which i did and everything seems ok. When I uninstall firefox and install it through the other hard drive I decided to log to my firefox account so I can download all my previous saved bookmarks, but when I hit the 3 horizontal parallel lines icon in the top right corner I see the sign in button but it only take me to create an account and not sign in. After a few tries to find help in the website and trying to chat with someone in which it seems that option is not available i decided to make an account with the same email and password and it let me. So for my understanding so far, somehow I lost all of that data, or didn't I?

When I click on my Firefox, a purple page with a search box and underneath says

"Private window: Firefox clears your search and browsing history when you close all private windows. This doesn’t make you anonymous. Learn more "

What I normally would get is a page with all of my saved sites and pocket articles underneath.

I want this page back but can't get rid of the purple page.

Also, I tried to take a screen shot of the page but my screen shot icon is faded.

Trying to login to The coin supply store website I enter user name and password. Click login button and it appears that the login may work but then it comes back to the login screen. I use lastpass password manager which auto fills user name and password. I tried to manually enter both and have the same result.

If I use Edge or Brave both login with no problem. I have tried safe mode in Firefox, same result. I removed cache and cookies, same result. I refreshed Firefox and tried again, same result. Finally I uninstalled Firefox using Revo uninstaller. I looked for any left over folders and did not find any. Rebooted system, and downloaded Firefox. Performed a clean install of Firefox. Tried to login to website and had the same result. Even though it is only Firefox having the problem I turned off AV and firewall, same result.

I am now using version 99 of Firefox and it still will not login. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After a forced update, firefox stopped giving the popup that lets you choose what to do with the file.

A temporary fix is to go into options and set "Always ask you where to save files", however this is clunky, and much much slower, so is there any way to get this popup back?

If not, then i will have to migrate to a different browser for safety, since this new "Feature" can be easily abused by hackers and malicious websites.

This is unbelivable in my opinion. I have lost my last session after updating the Firefox. I hve used Firefox more than 10 years. I am a researcher at a university. My last session is so valuable because I spent weeks to reach some academic sources and articles. And all of those were opened as different pages in my last session. Normally, I have "restore my session after every closing/opening the Firefox setting. However, after the last update, this feature did not worked and I have lost the session. I am waiting to hear solutions from responsible people. If this problem would not solve, I will share my story with everyone I can reach.

FF PDF Print has been working fine for some time.LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS it tarted acting different when wanting to save as PDF. Shot # 1 is same file but from Edge & what FF use to look like when viewing. Shot #2 is what it looks like when viewed with FF and Shot #3 is what it looks when text is selected. You can see the text is there. I have tried different Themes & Dark Reader to no avail. The screenshots don't seem to be able to upload.

Since the latest Firefox 99 update, when I drag and drop an attachment into an Outlook Web Access email on Firefox browser, it does not work (can do attachments through the attachment button, but this takes much more time to click, locate file, and attach). This process continues to work on my other browsers (Safari, Chrome). This is very frustrating (making me consider switching my primary browser. Any help with this would be appreciated.

hi, does any one know how to make a short cut for the web on windows desktop. As chrome and Microsoft edge do?

The title says it all. I find it very frustrating when I'm in the middle of doing something and Firefox pops up a message saying "Restarting Firefox" or the patronising "we just have to do one thing...", then closing Firefox and restarting. How can I stop Firefox from doing this? Why can't it just give me a notification that an update is available and that I need to restart to activate it? That would be MUCH friendlier. I have read a number of other posts that contain similar issues, but none of the solutions seem to apply to my version, 99.0. There are some options in about:config and about:preferences, but I am not clear on exactly what they do and whether or not changing them would achieve what I want to do without upsetting something else. Is there an easy way? All advice gratefully received.

How can I rename or delete folders in 'Other Bookmarks' and in 'Bookmarks'? I've tried over and over and searched support to no avail. I would also like to reorganize the order of the folders but I cannot move them from their position. i would appreciate any help.

So, since the last time I had this issue with the MASSIVE spacing in the bookmarks and drop down, and the lack of actual tabs showing in a definitive way, I went back to #89 (using W10) and stopped with the automatic updates.

Then imagine my surprise when right in the middle of typing an email all my tabs closed, so I go back and open a window and it says that I have updated to #99..!?

And, again, I have the issue of the MASSIVE SPACING in my bookmarks and drop down menus, yes of course I went back and change the config, etc, etc and still NOT FIXED!

What is going on with this, why is it that hard for the people developing this, to understand that we DO NOT NEED the MASSIVE SPACING in the drop down menus, and why in gods name has this not been actually FIXED, instead of trying these "work arounds"..

Simple solution, if it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!

I just don't have the time to constantly come here and spend hours trying to get these CONSTANT NOT NEEDED UPGRADES fixed..!

Is there an actual true fix for this constant issue..?

I have been catching up downloading attachments from my emails. A popup notified me of the latest download for Firefox Browser. As always I said yes and went back to my downloads. Suddenly I downloaded a pdf and instead of having the opportunity to save it, it opened up. I downloaded it to my files. When I did, my email had closed without my signing out. After reopening my email 3 times and not signing out, the email locked me out for about 10 minutes. Any ideas? I think I need to go back one version of Firefox.

So, a few minutes ago, I was trying to open a tab, and suddenly my tabs froze. When I clicked on the tabs, nothing happened. I couldn't get back to any of the pages I was on. So I exited the browser, and when I reopened the browser, even my pinned tabs were gone. This has happened a few times in the past. I used to just brushed it off, but I don't have the patience right now. What if this happens when I'm in the middle of typing out an essay? What if my progress isn't saved then? I can't have that happening, so I need to know. What should I do when my tabs are frozen and unresponsive?

So even on a unprotected machine, some webpages VERY slow to load but not all. My internet provider, Virginmedia, is also my email provider and sometimes this email homepage times out. Had the same problem with win 10 and did think, wrongly, that installing win 11 would cure this. It did not. Any ideas on this. A good friend is a computer tech so you can get technical. In `task manger` anti virus etc has been stopped.

FF VER 99.0 64 BIT BASE UNIT

Firefox version 99.0 (64 bits), has an issue with gmail attachments, it does not accept to attach the files. Can someone provide any solution ?

Since today, it's NOT possible anymore to see, let alone change, the current filename in the "Save picture as" dialog, so I have to save every pic with its current, most of the time cryptic, name, and then, for changing its name, within my file manager, to something more expletive, I don't even know WHICH of the pics in my inbox I need to rename. Most "enhancements" of FF within the last months were unwanted by most, but this one is absolutely nightmarish. WHY do you TERRORISE your user base?
