Recently the reels in my Facebook newsfeed will be black and not play when clicked on. All workarounds have been tried. These included , Restart machine ( laptop Dell Lattitude E 5530)( I know, ancient. Windows 10) go to settings in Firefox, Privacy and Security then clear cookies and cache. This works, the reels play, until I visit another website, then the issue is back. Simply going to Settings and clearing does not work. The entire flow has to be redone. I had my Internet Security remote control and invesigate. Same thing. We uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled to no avail. Is there any fix for this? Thanks. I have an answer to a sent email to my firefox "relay" address and cannot find a way to retrieve it from that "relay" email. How do I access that generated email site?

Please assist or advise why Firefox seems to be slowing down my system by memory usage. I have a handful (6) of tabs open on 1 browser session and my system started slowing down so I checked my task manager and it shows that I have more than a dozen of Firefox instances open chewing up almost 90% of my memory.

Please assist or advise me on how to tweak my browser to perform better, and not to show ghost instances

I have all the location settings I can find on my Firefox browser, google, and device turned off, but the new firefox weather widget still had my hometown as the default location, which is is not the same location as my IP address. And when I went to buy a book online through Thriftbooks with a guest account the address line autofilled with addresses in my hometown. I do not have any addresses saved to autofill. Where is this information being stored and how do I get rid of it?? Is there something in about:config I can shut off or disable?

This seems like a phishing email, is it legit? Should I find another browser?

Just getting started using Mozilla features after many years absence. So much has changed! I have yet to decide what I need help with. All of it! So let me proceed on my own to figure this out and return for support when I feel I need it most, and more importantly, when I feel I feel I have the time and energy to devote to the learning curve required.

Hi there! It started yesterday. I keep getting warning messages from Bitdefender that a connection Firefox was trying to establish was blocked. I will include a screenshot of the warning. I searched the link included in the warning and it comes up as a Firefox related link. I had six or seven of these warnings within the last 3 hours of using the computer and am concerned and irritated. Firefox is updated automatically on this computer and I think the last major change would have been the "cookie jar" thing(?). Obviously, the warning only says that the a certificate has expired. Today I suddenly started receiving the error code: SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE on a secure authentication page that was working until a few hours earlier, belonging to a major national bank.

https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/ cannot reach that page, other SSL checking sites report variable results (some say one cert in the chain has expired after a CRL, others say all is OK)

The same page/site works flawlessly on Chrome. Firefox incompatibility with popular portals is a growing trend unfortunately.

After a little digging with developer tools, it comes out the OCSP query reports the REVOKED_CERTIFICATE error. Disabling the "Query OCSP [..]" option in Firefox that website starts working fine again.

Now, I would like to still keep using the OCSP queries ON, and I definitely want to keep using Firefox for everything.

My question is: when a portal or website is found to be broken with Firefox (with default settings), with a root cause found like in this case, how can it be reported?

Having a clear report path would be useful to try to make the browser more compatible (in this case : was this a bug? Some wrong information on OCSP responders? Some mess caused by the website mantainers?)

I was very excited to see in the 131.0.3 release notes that it fixed a problem with bill pay. I've been unable to use bill pay at my small local bank since v131. My bank was unable to help me and I couldn't get bill pay to work with v131 even after opening everything up as much as I knew how (cookies, trackers, etc.).

Sadly, v 131.0.3 still has the same behavior of blocking bill pay with a very similar message to the BOA message posted earlier.

My local bank uses a site named: web13.secureinternetbanking.com and in the past, I also needed to exempt cookies from sites named: cwsb40.checkfreeweb.com and cw411.checkfreeweb.com. I've also added these sites to the exceptions list for enhanced tracking without effect.

I found a thread on Mozilla Connect from ipv6_fan that seemed to indicate a solution.

Based on that thread, I checked the following parameters:

The value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning is false.

The value of network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled is true.

When I set network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled to false, my billpay popped up as usual.

This seems to indicate (to a novice like me) that there are still issues in 131.0.3 with partitioned cookies.

To make this point, yesterday I spent probably an hour and a 1/2 trying to get to another bank account on Barclays working again because they just "upgraded their web experience". I think I was able to get all the new URLs identified for my exception list for cookies, but blocking cross tracking also creates havoc and I had to turn it off to get the bank site to work. I tried to add sites to the exception list for cross tracking, but firefox still showed it was blocking trackers even though I had added it to the exception list - so I gave up after all that time.

I appreciate the additional security being built into Firefox, but it seems to not play well with banks who seem to be on their own path for increasing security. These two paths don't seem to be converging.

I had a problem some months ago and my filters were compromised, so I was put on hundreds of mailing lists from commercial sites all over the world. I still get a new one once in a while, but there's one persistent one that doesn't have an 'unsubscribe' option and--despite repeatedly marking it as 'Spam' and trying to block it via a filter STILL keeps getting thru, generally an email or two about their products per day. Is there any way to report these people as a nuisance or block them totally? The problem isn't earth-ending but it is Vexing. Thanks.

Ok, there are a couple things that seem related and are worrying me.

First, every time lately that I have signed in to something new (new online account, FEMA, etc), when the little window pops up to ask if I want to save the log in info, it doesn't have the password I entered, but instead an immense string of characters (I'd say several hundred) AND I just saw this last time as I was erasing the password, that it actually looks like it might be a web address (I just briefly saw http:// before it was erased)

The next thing that has just happened today (Is black Friday now like solar flare ID theft Friday or something?!?!) is that when I tried to sign in to...I think it only happened on Amazon...when I clicked on the email/user box it took me to my saved passwords page. Every time. I couldn't even enter the log in because it would just go to passwords. That's really really worrisome.

And, then, the last thing that I haven't had a problem with so far since getting a new computer is every now and then my computer would all of a sudden just start doing things on it's own. I was logged in to an online store once that had my card saved and my computer just ordered everything in my cart. Once I was browsing on the library and it cancelled all the books I had on hold. I have video where it would just start entering random stuff in fields.

I have changed my keyboard and the keyboard I have now is wired.

Any ideas on what this might be? Or do I really have some serious bad guys out there messing with me?
