I've just had to completely reinstall windows without being able to backup my files (I couldn't launch my computer in order to actually back them up) meaning I've lost my recovery codes. I thought this would be fine as I could just sign back into firefox on this new install of Windows but as it turns out I must've forgotten to put my sign in information into my password manager. Again, I thought this would be okay as I still have access to the email I used to sign up to my firefox sync but I got the message saying I'd lose my data which isn't fine and now I'm at a bit of a loss. I've had to use a spare email to make an account and ask here but I'd really love my old account back. Is there any way at all I can get back into my account without losing my bookmarks and passwords? If not, how much information would I end up actually losing? I'm slightly unclear on that part. Do I lose absolutely everything? I'm a bit stressed about all of this ontop of losing all of my old computer files so I'm sorry if this is a commonly asked question but I was struggling to find anything that helped me D:

Any advice at all would be really appreciated thank you so much!!

I've tried everything to fix poor picture quality when streaming "third party" videos, e.g., YouTube. Colors are washed out; weird contrast; everything looks like it's coming through a haze. Streams from Netflix, Amazon look normal. And sorry, guys, the same third party streams from YouTube et al. look totally normal in the MS Outlook browser. Have tried all kinds of settings and rebooted as well. No change.

Please advise. This problem appears to be unique to Firefox.

Whenever I try to download a file from google drive, I get: "The page isn’t redirecting properly An error occurred during a connection to drive.google.com. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

Downloading google docs files from drive works fine, they convert to word and save to my downloads like normal. But downloading image files or pdfs yields this error. Right-clicking and downloading them from the folder view just does nothing. There is no difference between shared files and my own drive files. This error only happens in firefox, I can download files on microsoft edge just fine.

This has been happening for a few weeks now. Things I've tried:

-clearing cookies and cache -restarting firefox, restarting computer -checking for updates and updating firefox -disabling all my add-ons -clearing startup cache -adding drive.google.com and google.com to the exceptions for enhanced tracking protection -switching from standard to custom and unchecking cookies from the list of trackers and scripts to block, then clearing all cookies and cache -attempting to download in firefox troubleshoot mode -attempting to download in incognito mode -refreshing firefox -re-installing firefox by following the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1233618 -turned off real-time protection on computer antivirus (default for windows 10) -turned off microsoft defender firewall

I don't even know what else I can try. I assume it's a firefox error because this only happens using firefox on my laptop - I use firefox mobile and can download the same files on my phone. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi, I use Firefox Multi-Account containers often. But I don't see how to manually add a website domain to a specific container. As in, type it in to a list.

I often receive email links from sites like list-manage.com that are used for tracking, and immediately redirecting to the actual website. So it's never the domain on my browser tab by the time I can select a container to use - it has already redirected to their customer's domain.

How can I add list-manage.com to a specific container, given that it is redirected to a different website by the time I can select a container? I would love to "black hole" list-manage.com etc in their own containers.

在全屏模式下,如果按Esc以退出输入法的弹窗,会直接退出整个全屏模式。 When I typed something, I may press "Esc" to quit the input method popup. In this case, the fullsreen mod should not be cancelled. For example, look at the attached picture, which is taken when I'm inputing something in the fullscreen mode. In this case, when I press "Esc", the expected behaviour is to close the input method popup without closing the fullscreen mode. The bug has existed for long. I'm using the latest Firefox version for Windows 11.

Here's a snapshot of it. Just below that last line is a list of my bookmarks on the toolbar. The bookmarks are still there. It's the toolbar that has disappeared.

Any idea how to move them back down to the bottom? This is the userchrome.css coding I was using that worked fine before the update

The Responsive Design Mode saves screenshot files to the Pictures folder on Mac instead of the default download location, which I have set to Downloads. According to the source docs https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/devtools-user/responsive_design_mode/#responsive-design-mode-camera-button, the expected result is that the screenshot is placed in the default download location. This is independent of the selected device being emulated.

Hi,

Is there any reason firefox would flag an mp4 file legitimately?

  • The file extension and file type are absolutely mp4.
  • There seem to be no mp4 related zero days.

Does Firefox perhaps just treat all downloads from suspicious domains as malware? Is there a zero day I missed? Is this based on some missing metadata on the file or something?

Thanks for any advice you can give here, I'm scared.
