I find one infuriating problem with Firefox. When on a tab with sound, the 'silence' icon (the little loudspeaker) is right next to the 'kill' icon (the stylized 'X'). They are no more than a millimeter apart. For those of us with any shake this means it is far too easy to hit the wrong one. I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to silence a page for a bit and completely wiped it out instead and had to re-start the page and hunt through the video to find where I was up to. It is bad or me, it must be terrible for people with severe parkinsons disease or any other shake problems. Would it not be possible to create a customising option to separate these, or even just remove the kill X when the sound is on, as it is rare anybody would want to kill a page in mid-speech. Then if you've had enough, just silence it, then kill it.

Does Firefox have a 'suggestions box' I could stick this in? - thanks, John

Stopping the "Firefox prevented this site from automatically reloading" banner

I know this is going to push the boundaries on the "stupid question" meter, but I've looked everywhere I know to look. I have a website that I completely trust (inasmuch as one can), and they've recently made some changes to their site that requires the site to reload for an animation. The problem is that FF interrupts with the banner (see image) about reloading and my only l option is the "Allow" or "Dismiss". One requires me to just keep pressing the "Allow" button, while the other stops me from seeing the reload. Is there a way I can stop this?

Thanks in advance, Dan

I am very challenged by the new print dialog box on Firefox. My biggest problem is that I can no longer find a way to simplify the page, an option I used frequently to save paper and ink. Also, printing in draft requires multiple steps and looks like it might not be an option in the future.

Has anyone figured out a way to get around these issues, especially to simplify the page?

The old print dialog worked really well for me; this new one, not so much!

For some reason, many (but not all) websites I go to in firefox open at the bottom of the page. I think the problem might be related to my mouse/scroll settings, but if so, I can't find a solution.

Is there possibly a registry setting which I can look at?

Thanks!

Hello,

I upgraded my FireFox to the latest version 88.0 today, and noticed some changes on right click menu. In the old version, the keyboard shortcut key is a to copy a link, but now it was changed to L. That is really inconvenient. As you know, when you right click a link using the mouse, your right hand is still holding the mouse, and not easy to press the letter L on the keyboard.

The old menu option is "Copy Link Locaton", but the new one is "Copy Link".

Is it possible to customize the keyboard shortcut of right click menu, please?

Thank you! Brian

My most used feature and the reason I set Firefox as my main browser was (is) the possibility to take screen pictures, even to choose exactly what part of the screen to screenshot.

I've always done this by right clicking the mouse and chosing the relevant option in the menu: but as of two days, the icons are gone, only text is available and it's rather confusing (and time wasting, as I actually have to READ the oprions before finding the right one).

Did I mess up in any way?^ Or was it an update? I would love to get the scissors bak in there, please?!

Thank you, Berit

When I open a first Firefox instance from taskbar in Windows 10, if I do a Google search then right click on any of the results, then select "Open Link in New Tab", FF lalways opens that link in a new window, not a new tab as requested. The new window takes up the right hand half of my display which means I have to manually size it larger or maximize it. This behavior continues as long as I use the first FF window to open any links - they never open in a tab of the original window and only create lots of windows - this is very hard to deal with IMHO. Now here's the weird part - If I use one of the new windows, then FF behaves just as it should. Do a Google search and all links can be opened in new tabs in the new window, as requested. I did not notice this strange behavior until about April 10 when I believe I accepted a new update to FF.

On normal firefox 88.0 (64-bit) this works OK

on firefox nightly 90.0a1 (2021-04-26) (64-bit) this is broken

Normal window behavior on all applications on Ubuntu the window will stay open yet get pushed to become behind all other open windows when you mouse middle button click on the windows top "Title Bar"

By default firefox will NOT display this "Title Bar" on standard normal firefox you enable showing that "Title Bar" by hamburger menu -> Customize Toolbar -> checkmark ON Title Bar ... well that menu is now gone from nightly as of last week however through other settings I am able to enable the "Title Bar" however this push to go behind behavior fails to happen ... please fix ... over the years this same feature similarily disappears for a few weeks only to get fixed again so I have hope it will get fixed .... Please put this feature into checklist when making changes to the code !!!!!

thanks for making firefox the BEST browser by far ... especially on Android
