It's hard to describe what I mean without an example. I type "tart" into the search bar, and instead of the recently visited Wikipedia page on tarts, the autofill suggestions are full of pages in my history with "start" or "starter" in the title, or even in the URL but not the title. Is there any way to change it so the suggestions only contain the exact words I've typed?

Version 128.0.3 (64-bit) What’s new Mozilla Firefox for Linux Mint

When I visit a page which contains a Google Doc spreadsheet or try to open a Google Spreadsheet the page often fails to render properly and what I see is my desktop background instead of the Google doc element or Google doc sheet. Please see attached. This has been happening for ages and I resorted back to Chrome for such pages but now I'd like to see if it can be resolved.

The E*Trade analyst research tab does not display properly with text appearing over top of other text, strange numbers, and certain links inactivated. See attached example screenshots showing issues (yellow highlighting with Firefox) and proper display (green highlighting with Chrome). Thanks!

Pressing Alt in Firefox in Linux (Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Linux Mint 22.xx) brings up a top menu, which is hugely annoying as I'm always trying to to a window action if I'm pressing Alt.

The suggested solution is to go to about:config and change ui.key.menuAccessKeyFocuses to "false".

But this keeps reverting itself. (Between every other reboot?). Alt will again bring up this menu.

How can I permanently disable this shortcut?

For a couple of days now Instagram linked videos won't play here. Actually some of them will -- my own reels and anything linked with that button that looks like a movie 'clapper'. But videos that show the triangular arrow pointing to the right, nothing happens when you click. Not sure if this is a FF issue or maybe something changed at Instagram. Did a google search and nothing came up.

Please add features so that the recently visited page during the Firefox shortcut does not apply to the shortcut list. I only want to see a fixed shortcut on the shortcut page Even the pages I recently visited have been added to the shortcut, so I have to remove them daily. It's so inconvenient.

For about the past week I've been having trouble with Gmail and Google Search in my Firefox browser. Typically, I open a Firefox window with multiple tabs and leave the window open all day. I always have Gmail and Google Calendar open in tabs. What happens is that the Gmail tab will at some point give me a message that it cannot connect and has timed out and is trying to reload, but it never reloads, it just stalls. Then I try to open a Google search bookmark to search and the tab remains blank. This happens multiple times throughout the day. Meanwhile I can open Gmail or any Google page in Chrome, which I don't like using.

Sometimes I can close out the Gmail tab that won't load and try to open Gmail in a new tab, but that stalls out too. The only way I can open Gmail again is to close out the Firefox window completely and then relaunch it, then it can open Gmail or Google... until it breaks again.

This never used to happen. I'm using the latest versions of Windows 10 and Firefox on my desktop PC. Nothing else has changed.

Please help me fix this, it's very annoying.

Every time Firefox updates it keeps re-enabling settings on its own.

Specifically 2 settings on the general tab keep enabling themselves in the "browsing" section, "Recommend extensions as you browse" and "Recommend features as you browse"

I have disabled these settings dozens of times now, and every time Firefox updates it keeps re-enabling these 2 settings on its own.

Just now I updated to v128.0 and these 2 settings turned themselves on again.

Why is Firefox not respecting my settings? Why is Firefox allowed to modify my settings without my permission?

I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox already. I don't use profiles and am not signed into the browser, so no settings are getting carried over that way.

I have two Firefox windows open, one on my Macbook Pro and one on my external monitor. When I click a link in Obsidian, Firefox always opens it in the laptop's window. Is there a way to configure Obsidian (or maybe Firefox) so that links open in the Firefox window on my external monitor?

This is the message I get from Rakuten: "Your ad blocker is working too hard! To earn Cash Back at Samsung, disable your ad blocker and refresh this page." I want Rakuten to send me to the Samsung site as I am interested in buying something there.

I am in a dialogue with someone on this Mozilla site, and trying to explain my problem. I don't know if the problem is that Rakuten is being blocked from sending me to the Samsung site or Samsung is being blocked. (Rakuten is a site that has arrangements with many companies who give discounts to customers.)

I was told my bank that there has been an issue with firefox since the last upgrade. I can sign into my account, but if I try to do anything or click on anything, the site locks up and I can not do anything except for sign out. They told me that it was on your end and that you needed customers to reach out. It's becoming frustrating that I can't use firefox for this application. I can get into my account and do what needs to be done with other browsers. What can you do on your end. The bank is Mission Federal Credit Union. Thank you! Some sites stopped opening, although in other browsers, and through the phone everything opens up. I've tried reinstalling the browser, disabling extensions, resetting DNS. It didn't help. A list of sites I'm having trouble with: https://www.deepl.com/ https://enka.network/ https://7tv.app/ https://hsr.hakush.in/ and some other sites that I can't remember right now. In Chrome he working. Sites like youtube twitch and other poplar working too, idk why firefox have problem, maybe its new update?

This is not good at all. I am now thinking of rejecting Fierfoy and moving to Opera or similar. Why did Morzilla take this fatal step?

I've been having issues with media playback on firefox.

Almost any video source that isn't from youtube cannot play in firefox, giving the error: "No Video with supported format and MIME type found"

Testing the same video on Chromium has no problems.

Using Fedora Linux on an AMD system. And Fedora Flatpak build.

System specs below if required.

Any idea to get this up and running would be really appreciated. I think I already installed the propriety media codecs for fedora since the problem isn't showing up on chromium it looks like a firefox issue.

Hello, Since the version 128 (x86_64) on Windows 11, SSH links are no more opened with the user. The link tooltip at the bottom of the screen is showing the link without the user too. Ex: ssh://root@10.0.1.1 -> will open ssh://10.0.1.1 instead. Thank you in advance
